  1. I don't think Duncan was sh*t - Aylott, Mayes, Mitchell and Shearer were ...
  2. Sammy Sky's mate was called Bugsy ...
  3. The truth is you couldn't spot a hooligan in 1985. It is a complete myth as if you wanted trouble you got it, if you didn't you never got it unless you were in the middle/tea bar of the Shed when we played West Ham. The casual dress was the green bomber type jacket, jeans and trainers with a small pin Chelsea badge on the jacket lapel. Great days, passion far greater than these days ...
  4. A man mountain for his age, but so was Duberry.
  5. Have to say our away following to the likes of Derby, Leicester, Notts County, Brighton and Cambridge in the 80's were better than anyone. The battles at Birmingham in the 70's and the great turnouts in Manchester. Happy days on the road, feared and respected and hated by the press and plod.
  6. Call me old school if you like, but to me Mata cannot be ever considered a Chelsea great despite being part of our Champions League winning side and a deserved player of the year for two seasons on the bounce. Tell me when he ever performed like Ossie, Drogba and Zola in a major final or semi final, he often went missing and of course bottled it when taking a penalty in Munich. Let's not forget this wasn't like Wilkins to Man Utd in his prime. Mata was under the best manager in the world and like De Bruyne never had the heart or desire to rise to the challenge to cement a place in our side. He simply threw his toys out of his pram and thought of his world cup place above his adoring Chelsea faithful and Chelsea shirt. As for Man Utd not as bad as Rottenham Hotspuds but nevertheless unforgiveable. I am sure he will be a success there but I am also sure his dreams of being a Spain regular will not materialise. Great player, but badly advised and no heart or love for Chelsea at all.
