While we let Courtois play for a side like Athletico it harms our chances of winning things. Imagine if the game was 0-0 and he pulled off the two saves he made from JT and Hazard ? For me for Chelsea and Jose to move forward we need to remove some of the old guard from his last reign here and I would start with Cech and Cole. Courtois has proved he can play at the very top and I wouldn't be surprised if he picked up the double and in Jose's eyes to win the Spanish league and European Cup in one season in goalkeeping terms the kid would be the special one. He has won 16 points in the league due to his crucial saves and in his season in the Belgian league when a youngster is credited with winning the league by himself! It would be crazy to not make him our NO1 but my worry is he might now think he has more of a chance to win things at Athletico than us.

Sometimes you have to hold your hands up in football. They are not bossing the Spanish league for nothing and it showed tonight we were outclassed to be totally honest. Jose will know what he needs for next season but for me his first decision should be to get Courtois between our sticks as we need a new and vibrant spine.

Mikel and Cahill were superb but this was another tactical master class from Mourinho make no mistake. He clearly fancies Athletico to buckle under the Stamford Bridge atmosphere and a win gets us there - great result now we have to finish the job, think Hazard being fit is the key.

I don't get the negative vibes about Willian at all, aside from Hazard he has been our best attacking threat since his thunderbolt when he entered the scene at Norwich. For me he along with Dave, Matic, Hazard and Cahill are shoe in's for next season and our new untouchables. His balance, trickery and pace is awesome and a few more goals and assists next season will end those niggling doubts that our midfield cannot blend with our new strike force.
