He is a homegrown and an England International, in the right environment I think Wellbeck would thrive. Remember as a kid him tearing us apart at the Bridge for Sunderland. Listening to people who really know him, like Gary Neville and Paul Scoles for example they say there is no better player in the Premiership on the flank for tracking back and holding his position, what he lacks is expression in the final third and to exploit talent that he shows in training and sometimes for Manchester United. With us in a homegrown shortage I would ask what striker with international experience is the alternative to Wellbeck ?

He's better than Torres and helps us with the homegrown situation that's my point.

Heard a strong rumour from the stewards room that Torres will not be in today's squad and is flying to Milan early tomorrow with Remy agreeing a deal worth 8.5 million to QPR.

Balotelli and Khedria for a combined 24 million with the sale of Torres, Mikel and Cech would have made perfect sense to me and our squad would ensure no more transfers in at least the two windows.
