  1. I think before buying anyone we should try and sell players who are never going to make it at Chelsea e.g. Marin, Kakuta, Moses, Romeu. This would free up some wages and also potentially add to the transfer budget, which would allow us to buy higher quality players. We've also been linked with Sergio Ramos, he's not being offered a new deal at Real Madrid
  2. Very disappointed with just a draw today. Scotland's goal was painfully avoidable, we weren't clinical enough, and some of the deliveries from Coleman and Brady were abysmal. There's no point in playing well if you're not putting the ball into the net, and to see Ireland resort to the long ball tactics which became synonymous with Trappatoni's negative play was truly awful. Its going to take a lot of work to qualify for the Euros now, and I'm starting to prepare for another tournament which Ireland aren't in
  3. We have Luis, Azpilicueta and Ivanovic. We wouldn't need him
  4. I agree he could be great cover for Fabregas and Matic but I don't think he would settle for a place on the bench and start in the League Cup and odd league match. The Khedira move has been mooted for a while now, but again would he settle for a place on the bench if Mourinho sticks with Fabregas and Matic in the holding midfield position? And I doubt Real Madrid would not to offer a player of his quality a new contract
  5. Apparently Chelsea are going to battle with Man United for the signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger. He has stated he is in no hurry to renew his contract and it isn't something that bothers him. What do people think? Could he move to Chelsea and would he be a good fit?
  6. That is true, but there is the possiblity of the player not developing well so we don't make a good profit on them, or we can't move them on at all. So we would end up having players who aren't good enough for the first team, on inflated wages (which could put off potential suitors) and therefore hurting our cause in the long run to meet FFP. It is a whole other game that clubs like Chelsea must play, but a risky one
  7. Rather than buy this guy I would much rather see some of our youth team players such as Aké, Baker and Boga come through and break into the senior squad. Also, the guy is a winger. I'm fairly sure we could make an entire team out of the amount of attacking players we have out on loan
  8. This is a good way to respond from Thursday anyway!
  9. Don't like these situations. They get criticised from all angles. Also, we are in a situation with both Moses and Marin no one wants to be in, and I highly doubt anyone wants yet another player at Chelsea who isn't good enough for the first team and spends their entire contract out on loan at various clubs
  10. I don't see why people hate the international break. Personally, I like it. England should have no problems against San Marino tonight, and hopefully the Boys in Green can get a big win on Saturday
  11. Well he looks like he has a bright future ahead of him, and if the English FA want him to play for England then he must be good!
  12. Celtic are extremely lucky here. Legia have every right to feel aggrieved but as has been said on this thread, rules are rules. The death threats the person who made the mistake has been recieving are disgraceful. I doubt Celtic will get past Maribor based on the performances against Legia... So Legia and Celtic in the same Europa League group anyone?
  13. Sorry, I don't for two reasons 1. I'm too young to be allowed in pubs (I think) 2. I live in County Cork, about 200 k.m. away from Dublin! If you want to find a good pub, maybe have a look around the other articles by Irish Chelsea fans. They might be helpful
  14. I'm down south in County Cork, near Banteer. Yeah and it has to be said Irish football in general isn't the greatest at the moment. That is true, something many Irish football fans like to forget

I don't think we need him. We have good defensive midfielders in Ramires and Matic, good attacking midfielders in Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Fabregas and Schurrle and also I would prefer to see some of our younger stars e.g. McEachran, Pasalic given a chance rather than spending 60 million pounds on Pogba
  16. Hello everyone! As an Irish Chelsea fan, it's great to be able to talk with so many different Chelsea fans, as Blues are few and far between here, but the Chelsea contigent is growing! Now, if only Chelsea would sign an Irish player to increase popularity here...
