  1. "Balogun was sent off after his foot landed on the ankle of Bosnia's Tarik Muharemovic, causing it to buckle. The other 12, apart from Balogun, have served a suspension for at least the next World Cup game their country participated in. Fifa enacted a clause in its disciplinary code which allows it to "fully or partially suspend the implementation of a disciplinary measure". This is in contradiction to the regulations of the tournament, which state that if a player receives a red card "they will automatically be suspended from their team's subsequent match". Two other pertinent points. Ronaldo's Red card didn't happen at the World Cup finals, it happened in the qualifying rounds. And Ronaldo was suspended for the next qualifying game. SIHow FIFA Used the ‘Cristiano Ronaldo Rule’ to Benefit USM...FIFA’s handling of this divisive topic is arguably even worse than the leniency shown towards Cristiano Ronaldo. As you offered to help me with long words, could you assist me with the meaning of "regulations" and "ethical practice"
  2. Reading is a great way of educating yourself and helping you give a properly informed opinion. You should give it a try one day. BBC SportWorld Cup 2026: Uefa claim 'integrity of the game is at s...Uefa says Fifa's decision not to uphold Folarin Balogun's immediate ban at the World Cup is "unprecedented, incomprehensible and unjustifiable".
  3. Didn't watch it live but have seen it this morning. A performance with real grit, determination and character that I didn't think this England team were capable of. However, I cannot move past the Balogun suspension decision. It is a totally outrageous and corrupt U-turn by FIFA, (I don't care how much pressure they were under from the US media and Trump administration), that has completely tainted the Soccer Ball World Cup for me. Hoping for De Bruyne to roll back the years and a Lukaku hat-trick tomorrow morning.
  4. Exactly how I feel too. It is a staggering decision by Infantino. Absolutely praying that America get beaten by the Belgians. And if not the Belgians, anyone they play. Trump is a cancer on the World.
  5. That's it for Canada. 2 - 0
  6. Enzo Fernandez -
  7. Of all the players to score it has to be that Tottenham c*unt.
  8. If it gets to penalties I fancy Cape Verde to pull it off.
  9. Never thought I would see a better footballer than Pele, but Messi is damn close.
  10. Pedro Neto - Road to Nowhere (Talking Heads)
  11. Brilliant!! 👏
  12. Josh Acheampong - Forgotten Man (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)
  13. You've all seen the pre-fight ring walk shows at big boxing matches where the fighters tart about to their chosen song and then take half an hour to get off the stage and in the ring. Well imagine the same thing at a football game. The player stands in the tunnel, his name is anounced to the crowd, and he runs on to an appropriate song choice. What do you think those songs might be? Here's a few to get us started; Robert Sanchez - Footloose (Kenny Loggins) Malo Gusto - I Can't Stand Up for Falling Down (Elvis Costello) Reece James - Broken (Seether ft. Amy Lee) Alejandro Gazpacho - The Wheels On The Bus - (Cocomelon Nursery) Nicolas Jackson - I Missed Again (Phil Collins) Mikhailo Mudryk - The Drugs Don't Work (The Verve) Cole Palmer - The Haircut Song (Ray Stevens)
  14. Problem is Jacko had such a great World Cup it's going to be hard to keep hold of him. Reliable insiders say Peterborough are very, very keen on him.
  15. Phil. Com'on you're killing soccer ball. Hydration breaks when it's raining. VAR decisions fo' sh*ts and giggles. Immigration hassles for players, officials and fans. Over priced match tickets and travel costs. And the worst is probably yet to come when DT turns up at the final and gets an on pitch hand job from Infantino. Your stadiums though, are magnificent.
  16. Except VAR rulings have all the consistency of Donald Trump's policy decisions. It's a no from me Bob.
  17. f**k Wonderwall. Should be Blur - Song 2.
  18. In Tuchel's head a voice is saying, "I am vindicated. Madueke is better than Palmer." If Aubameyang was English he would probably play him ahead of Kane.
  19. It is so, so enjoyable to think that Tottenham had a player of the quality of Harry Kane, for so many years, and they still couldn't win feck all.
  20. This is the best thing Shearer did for England.
  21. You mean ...... Forza Inghilterra!
  22. The positivity and attacking mindset of teams like Cape Verde and Dr Congo in this World Cup is a breath of fresh air to modern football. Total opposite to the drool inducing boredom of Maresca and Sarriball.
  23. So Tuchel.
  24. Kane is decent in the air. No Drogba. But decent.
  25. Well at least we now know our first World Cup deal should be Garnacho, Mudryk, Gittens and Neto in exchange for Cipenga. Get it done.
