Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016

What does everyone think about Remi Garde's departure from Villa? Hopefully his leaving doesn't have a negative effect for us this weekend. It shouldn't - Villa's players are all either really crap or really not interested. -

My ideal fantasy would be if Leicester won the title, Spurs came second, Man Utd picked up enough form to overtake Arsenal and City, who would finish fourth and fifth respectively. Wenger keeps his job (better for everyone except Arsenal fans), and Pep arrives to play in Europa League! -

Just heard the Liverpool fans, I had assumed they'd all gone home. -

Anyone else think Sterling's facial hair looks really silly? -

Mignolet deserves a new contract, give him another 10 years I say!! -
Good on Gary, hopefully he's turned a corner and can keep this momentum going for a while.

Looks like my wanting to see the best in people has backfired again. Now that we know more of the facts I can categorically say that Adam Johnson is a sick individual who deserves more than the probable two or so years he'll get. Moving on, I really can't wait to see Leicester beat those gooners!!! -

I completely agree that he deserves punishment, and I hope the court don't go easy on him because of who he is. However let's not get carried away and lump him into the same sort of group as Jimmy Saville and the like. He's not a pedophile, he didn't force a young kid into anything. The girl was just a few months from legal age of consent. Perspective. -

Please excuse me reminiscing a bit here; A few years ago, when I was a single 22 year-old out on the town with my mates, I met a girl in a pub and we hit it off really well. Our groups joined together and we spent the night doing a bit of a pub crawl. I got her number and we met up again a few nights later. At the end of the night we were going to catch a taxi back to mine when we bumped into an old school friend of mine who knew the girl and thankfully informed me that the girl was actually 14. I had no idea and it had never even occured to me that I had to ask - she looked and acted about 19 I'd say. I was going to use this as an example that not everything is black and white and we shouldn't judge until we know more of the details... But seeing as how Johnson has effectively admitted to knowing she was underage, its his own stupid fault and he deserves to face the consequences! -
Just saw the Valencia-Barcelona second-leg result from tonight, 1-1. Sure beats the 7-0 loss in the first leg!

Can you imagine how amazing it would be if Arsenal finished 4th and we won the champions league? That really would be a dream come true!!! -

Only been watching the last ten minutes of the match but already annoying me how much of a hard-on the commentators are getting over Martial. Really don't see what all the fuss is about. He's pacey but his ball control is inconsistent, his decision-making is terrible and I've yet to be convinced by his finishing. Okay he's young so has time to improve, but at present I don't see much difference between him (apparently valued at £45m or so) and loads of other english youngsters I see playing in the Championship. Is it just me? -

On a similar subject; I have just decided, after a long period of contemplation, that I'm ruling myself out as the first ever Leader of Earth, and will NOT be taking Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson as my three wives. -

Saw a petition today that was started by some Arsenal fans. It was to retrospectively ban Costa for diving. I had a very good laugh let me tell you. Don't those gooners realise how petty and cringeworthy they are? Most other fans would be embarrassed for them I'm sure. -

Interesting read. Looking forward to seeing how he handles the pressure and the egos. -
I will always have a tremendous amount of respect for Fergie, despite not liking him. He was undisputedly one of the best managers in the world. He lucked out with the golden generation of Giggs, Beckham and all, but in my mind his greatest achievement was competing for (and winning in his last season) the title with the terrible squad he had in his last few years. I was happy when he retired, but it isn't quite the same without him, and I do agree that Man Utd would probably have the title in the bag right now with him still in charge.

I can't believe that Liverpool are the betting favourites and Leicester are at odds of around 7/2. That's the definition of 'reputation' over form. £5 on Leicester, don't mind if I do :) -
Where will the big (and small) managers be next season?
Sharpey replied to RAWK Meltdown's topic in Football (Other Teams)
My guess is: Ancelotti - Bayern Mourinho - PSG Simeone - Chelsea Wenger - 4th.. I mean Arsenal Guardiola - Year off Klopp - Liverpool Rodgers - Somewhere with outstanding character -

One of my Liverpool-supporting friends did some sort of marketing course in uni. He wasn't too happy when on two seperate occasions his tutor gave them all an assignment to highlight and discuss all the bad examples of marketing on the Liverpool online shop. Or something like that anyways. xD -

What I'd like to see: Courtois Zouma Terry Azpi Matic Fabregas RLC Willian Hazard Remy Traore/Kenedy Felt we did well enough when we changed to this shape last night to warrant trying it from the start against Sunderland. Not that this will actually happen though. -
Leicester v Chelsea - Mon 14 Dec - 20:00
Sharpey replied to Zola's topic in Coco's Chelsea FC Match Chat
Got home from work, just finished watching the match. Considering I expected a bit of a stomping from Leicester, I'm actually not too disappointed. I thought we defended better against their pace than we would have done two months ago, and encouraging signs once we switched to a 3-5-2. Most frustrating thing for me was Costa seeming to be allergic to Leicester's penalty area for most of the game. So many times Willian or Pedro looked for someone to whip a cross to, but cause noone was there, instead had to pass back. That's why I was so pleased to see Remy come on. He may not be an amazing player, but at least he makes good runs and gwts in dangerous positions. That's actually some quite astonishing stats lol. Please keep going, better Leicester win the title than Arsenal or City.
