Posted December 2, 20159 yr He's off to Valencia to be Phil's boss, haha. RIP MNF. Sky Sports just got considerably sh*tter.
December 2, 20159 yr Author Makes a bit more sense now... 'Peter Lim, Valencia's Singaporean owner, has a stake in Salford City, the non-league club co-owned by Neville.'
December 2, 20159 yr I can honestly say I didn't see that one coming... how hilarious. Â Good luck to him!
December 2, 20159 yr MNF will still have this... Â https://vine.co/v/O9YKz5qMxuu Edited December 2, 20159 yr by RichardCFC
December 2, 20159 yr Well that's odd. Phil Neville already works there as the assistant manager, I would have thought he would have been given the nod.Â

December 2, 20159 yr Good luck to him. I am sure he'll now find out it's a lot harder out in the field, rather than in a studio analysing tactical ineptness and mistakes from managers. I do hope he does well though, because it would be nice to have a brit do well managing a top Spanish side.Â

December 2, 20159 yr That's a shame. He's one of the only pundit's actually worth listening too. I suppose it will be back to listening to the scouse lovers from now on once again then.
December 2, 20159 yr I think he will do good as a manager, I always thought It was a great move by Hodgson to make him one of his assistants. Â Also as others have said, he was the most refreshing pundit in years.
December 3, 20159 yr http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11837/10087775/gary-neville-says-he-couldnt-turn-down-valencia-job  Apparently he felt like had to give it a go and try to prove he can walk the walk as well.  "Sitting on TV talking about coaches these last few years, the time has come for me to stand up. This is a wonderful football club. If I turned down this opportunity, I would have lost some credibility."

It's a huge risk but unavoidable at some stage. In today's paper, a former (un named) Valencia manager said the role was a thankless task and recalled receiving hostile whistling from fans on the day he was presented to them!

December 3, 20159 yr Andy Gray never had the guts to do it  To be fair Andy Gray is a clueless gobsh*te; Neville actually seems to know what he's on about.
December 6, 20159 yr Secured a 1-1 with Barca tonight... interestingly still no sign of Negredo near the squad.
December 6, 20159 yr His job starts tomorrow though  Oh     Please ignore any quick conclusions I drew
