Remodez got a reaction from Sexyfootball in World Cup 2026I agree he has ultimately failed. I just disagree with the notion that it is all his fault and its as simple as making attacking changes to change the defend first mentaltiy that largely came about cause everyone was fatigued.

Remodez reacted to Zeta in World Cup 2026Which points do you want me to debate?
If it's about leaving some players behind who are better on the ball, yes, I agree we should have brought some differernt players. I don't watch much beyond CHelsea, so can't comment on players form this year, but I would have brought people like Trent, Foden, maybe Wharton who had a good season I believe. And left people like |Henderson, Chalobah, etc... at home. He could have used Mainoo in the middle as well.
If it's about him failing to change the mindset - yes, he did. But this is something I don't think you can lay entirely on the manager. You can try as hard as you like, but you can't change what's going on inside another man's head, and if 11 of them decide that they are under too much pressure to push forward and naturally retreat, it's very hard to change that. In that scenario where the team is going against instruction and won't do anything but defend, I'm not sure there are many managers who could motivate them out of it.
I agree with a lot of the points in isolation. What I don't agree with is laying 100% of the blame on the manager, when clearly the players were A) either not good enough, or not mentally/physically up for the fight, and B) didn't do what the manager wanted them to do.

Remodez got a reaction from Blue Ram in World Cup 2026I think the only mistake he made was keeping Kane on. He could have done the same exact subs but with Watkins on to replace Kane and we would have looked much better with an outlet.

Remodez reacted to Zeta in World Cup 2026I think Tuchel is defintely taking far more of the blame than he should be. Literally the second we scored, the players all dropped back and stopped doing anything but defend. I can't imagine this was the plan. Tuchel has said it wasn't the plan, that they should have been going for the 2nd, but whether due to mentality, or fitness, they just couldn't do anything but defend. So he tried see it out. But, that being said, the subs were not great, we could have tried to force the issue by bringing on more attackers or more pace to stretch them, we also sacrificed the middle of the pitch.
In hindisight you can look at some of the players left at home and wonder if they could have helped.
I think the blame is pretty 50-50 between the manager and the players, they all got it wrong, for various reasons. Let's not pretend that it's 100% Tuchel and the players are blameless. The simple fact is they weren't good enough on the pitch and were out played, out run and out fought for the majority of the game.

Remodez got a reaction from erskblue in World Cup 2026Result was disappointing of course but I don't believe Tuchel told them to sit after scoring.
Virtually every player in midfield was gassed. You could see it. Kane was done by the 50-60th min. Unless you replace most of the midfield and Kane with subs its gonna be extremely difficult to go against the natural instinct to sit deep. He went for the most logical option given what was available which is an extra defender seeing as the team had already decided to sit back.
The part where he made a mistake in my opinion was not taking off a clearly gassed Kane off for fresh legs on counter.

Remodez got a reaction from fun2sh in World Cup 2026I am surprised to see so many ex players and ex managers blaming Tuchel for this result. They of all people should know it's not easy to change players mentality once they have already decided to sit back and defend for whatever reason.
Players were all gassed, clear as day to see, so after we scored the players retreated and sat back. This wasn't an instruction from Tuchel evident by the fact that he kept the same system. If he wanted us to defend straight after he would have changed it straight away.
I blame him for keeping Kane on even when he was clearly gone which resulted in us having no out ball but everything else was in response to what the players had already been doing.

Remodez got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!I think even if he was amazing the odds of you admitting it would be extremely low.

Remodez reacted to dansubrosa in Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!If we couldn’t sell him, I hope he gets a broken leg first game of the season. I really can’t stand the prick. Arrogant c*nt.

Remodez reacted to WhiteWall in Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!So there is no thoughts that actually the players just weren't very good, possibly through fatigue and they basically got outplayed and overrun and therefore couldn't get out.
I agree with the timings that you have identified. As an example they brought on Nico Gonzalez on 64 minutes and i don't think we could really cope with him along with everything else that was coming at the team. Personally, i think key to the result was the fact the Rice clearly was still not fully up to speed and we had no back up to pack that defensive midfield area, thus making us go deeper and deeper.
I do agree that TT tried to rely on a ploy that worked against the Mexicans and would never work here, but i just wonder whether his hand was being forced by the direction of play and the bluntness of our midfield and attack.

Remodez reacted to Sconnie Blue in World Cup 2026My personal favorite was Gary Neville complaining why Tuchel didn’t have anyone man marking Messi.
As if no manager in the last 20 years hasn’t tried that. Messi also scored a hattrick against Neville’s Valencia. Why did he have anyone man marking him?

Remodez reacted to dkw in Romeo LaviaIts a real shame he is made of biscuits, I think talent wise hs probably the best midfielder weve had for ages, when he was fit and match sharp (those 2 games) he was outstanding, and exactly what we need to play alongside Caicedo. As a partnership that would take some beating and would give us an outstanding basis to build on.
Unfortunately hes now stuck in an "Get injured - return from injury - start getting match fit - get injured" cycle. Now hes not the first player to have this at a young age, but its been so extensive and so many different injuries I dont think his body will ever recover. It looks like its his hamstrings that are the main issue, but then that obviously causes other muscle injuries due to dependency, its almost impossible to get out off all that without surgery and full rest, and he will never be afforded that opportunity at a top club who demand value from players.
I hate seeing the abuse he gets, hes not let anyone down, this is a young player battling through a broken body that will be destroying him mentally, all he wants to do is play football but cant. Its a real shame empathy has pretty much deserted football now.

Remodez reacted to PhilH930 in World Cup 2026Still buzzing. Reflecting a bit, as said, Bellingham was immense. Was amazing seeing his movement in person - can see his level is something slightly different. Just a world class performance tonight.
Gordon was superb. As was Pickford. Rice very disciplined after early yellow. Dan Burns did his job very well when on also.
Well done England

Remodez reacted to 2211 in Granit XhakaI think he would be an asset to us.
He understands how Xabi likes to play and is a leader.
We lack leaders at this football club, and when the going gets tough most of our players disappear.
He has character and even some our better players like Moi, Palmer and Estevao need guidance if only to help stop these stupid bookings we get regularly.
If he can even help usher people away from officials and picking up needless bookings which ultimately leads to suspensions it would be worth it at the right price.
I think around £15m including certain add ons is a fair deal for good player with the the right attitude.

Remodez reacted to STATS in Granit XhakaXhaka is a really underrated player. He has been consistent for several seasons and literally dominates the midfield. Has a good passing range and most importantly is a leader. Him and Caicedo would act as great protection for our defence. Xhaka, I have been a fan of for a long time. Yes, he is turning 34 but his fitness record is immaculate. He rarely is injured and plays 90 mins almost every game. In a season where we don't have Europe, this would be a stellar signing. Sunderland are not getting anywhere near Europe had he not signed. He had that much of an impact on the team. I would actually say he was the signing of the season.
One game a week and knowing he knows the PL well and is a leader who rarely is injured, then I think this is a signing where people at the end of the season will appreciate how smart of a move it was.

Remodez got a reaction from acaeus in Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!I would expect the imbalance to improve but this would be largely down to Alonso being a better manager rather than a lack of Enzo. We will see as you say.

Remodez got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Joao PedroTo be honest this is a very common thing outside of England, im pretty sure tapping up as defined by english rules doesnt even exist there.
It'd only ever a problem when between 2 English clubs
