enigma got a reaction from Sexyfootball in Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2023/24Shows how poor the league is now. People will rave about PlL, but i think the quality is lacking. Just so much wrong with the players and teams these days.

enigma got a reaction from nonotnowjim in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone! You think Poch going will automatically mean Sterling makes a simple pass to his teammates? Or 36 big chances aren't missed by the players on the pitch? Have we not been missing chances constantly since Conte was here? The issues are deeper than Poch. It's not just the coach.
The structure of the club has changed massively. We now have a team of less experienced players. Problems were here under Roman but many people were blinded to it, yet we finished 20 pts off the title and scraped by top four a couple times in recent seasons. 20pts with added club restructuring now taken into account, it's going to be tough for another 1-2 seasons.

enigma got a reaction from Victor90 in Poch In or Out? The Mega-thread MergedPochettino has spoke about the inexperience and comparing his time at Southampton. He mentioned there will be inconsistent results. He's not wrong. Of course, there's things he could do differently, but not much. Apart from playing certain personnel in natural positions, what other option does he have? The main attacking player we bought in summer has been injured since pre-season. Poch also doesn't have an established striker or even goal scorer. Sterling is our best goal scorer, which says it all really. We don't even have a 15 goal a season attacking player, let alone a 20+ goal a season striker. I'm not sure I would have got rid of Koulibaly from defence. Unfortunately we also sold Giroud, but that was under Roman, which was a silly idea in hindsight.

enigma got a reaction from El regreso in So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!Who do people think we would get in to do a better job? At the end of the day there has to be patience with the coach. You can't expect any consistency if there's no consistency with coaches. He's been here less than 5 months and has hardly been handed a ready made team. The circumstances for the past year has been tough.

enigma got a reaction from dkw in Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"For context, Kante joined Leicester at 24 years of age from Caen when barely anyone was aware of him. Caicedo signed for Brighton at 19 years of age and had been arguably Brighton's most important player since he joined them. He's just turned 22. The only people are questioning him now is because of his price tag, but that's not on him. We needed a midfielder like him after losing Kante and the owners did what they had to, to secure him.

enigma got a reaction from True Blue23 in Nicolas Jackson - strikerNot stupid actions. They aren't robots who can't show emotions only when they are scoring for Chelsea. They can shag who they want, speak to whichever woman they want. The woman in question was the one who decided to put that video out there, not him. He went to visit some friends in Villareal on his day off. Big deal.
People look way too deep into these things. I think it would make everyone's mental health better if they avoided social media entirely when it comes to what our players are doing. It's almost like fans think players should stay in their homes and never leave, only for training and Chelsea related stuff.

enigma got a reaction from just in Nicolas Jackson - strikerAnyone that believed he was going to be the answer to our problems up top would have been naive. He's a younger striker with potential. We still need someone who can consistently score 18/19/20 goals.
