  1. Just won't get sanctioned unless we get a replacement.
  2. Fair play to Millwall, that's some statement. ................. We've had no bids since Roma weeks ago according to John Percy of the Telegraph who knows all things Leicester. This is purely his agent getting him positioned somewhere that he can travel from quickly just in case. Rather than stuck in Gabon unable to get a flight.
  3. Baffling mate. Is Roman getting bored, thinks winning is too easy and wants to see how the managers get on with loads of drama for a laugh
  4. Doctor... if you are an actual Doctor, couldn't you prescribe yourself something for your anger issues?
  5. All I will say further, is that when you're Leicester and your starting 11 that season cost about £20m, you cannot prop anyone up. Every single one of them performed to an outstanding level. Some of them are limited footballers and you have to protect their weaknesses. Kante did that to the likes of Morgan, Huth and Simpson as he covered so much ground. Drinkwater just isn't one of them. Kante > Mahrez > Vardy > Drinkwater > Kasper were and are the 5 who were always another level to the rest. He's brilliant, probably one of the most skillful players I've seen. I think in another formation he could seriously be world class, he's hampered by the 442 formation and all the defensive work he has to do. Along with having Simpson behind him, who never supports, never overlaps, can't pass. He is fairly unique now days, so many wide men are all about pace and nothing else. To have someone who can take several people out of a game with a bit of ball movement, Id have that any day of the week over a Sterling headless chicken type.
  6. Yeah, so you keep saying.
  7. I can't understand it looking from the outside in, you get into a great position, win the league and then someone there decides to hit the self destruct button. The last two seasons look like a carbon copy of the two before that. Not suggesting it will be that bad a season again, but from such a position of strength it seems odd to not take advantage of it.
  8. Kante was surrounded by a hugely expensive squad... Drinkwater was playing in a team that cost about £25m quid. The likes of Morgan, Huth, Simpson, Okazaki are limited footballers. For one season only our tactics worked to perfection and before people saw us coming we were ahead and ground it out... tactics can be worked out though. Far harder to stop a team full of class players. I've been on here a while and comment when / if you are linked to one of our players, just as I did Kante last year to tell you he was fooking ace when people were moaning about his passing and shooting stats. I like to talk football and I try to be as civil as I can on other peoples boards.
  9. And we want to keep him because we think he is that good and massively underrated. Everyone's a winner.
  10. I'm sure there is wiggle room there, but what can we get for that in this market really? You get quoted £15m for championship midfielders at the moment. Palace quote is £25m for Townsend. Bolasie and Sissoko go for £30m last summer and for one of our best players, we're meant to accept £23m. We got Maguire for £12m rising the minute the window opened. We could probably sell him for £30m already the market has gone that nuts.
  11. Yes it's nonsense, he did not look "lost" without Kante. It might have escaped your attention when misquoting, but I said the whole team around him was utter gubbins. You expect him to hold his stats when everyone around him are playing like relegation fodder? You might have also missed the part where I said he played half a season with a persistent injury, which also hampered him. He needed resting but we couldn't afford to. Lets look at it another way you might understand. Kante last season for you had less key passes, less chances created, less tackles, less interceptions, less assists than he did for us. If I came on here and said "well that's because he looks lost without Drinkwater" you'd laugh, because you've seen him week in week out and you know how good he was. £40m is expensive, but that's the price we set. You want him you pay it, you don't want him you don't. If you'd done your business early we'd probably have accepted far less. But to do any deal to replace him now, it's going to cost us a fortune and we'd have to massively overpay ourselves to get someone from another club. You've made your own issues this summer I'm afraid.
  12. No he didn't, where do people get this nonsense from. I see it said all the time, but only by people who would never have watched Leicester regularly. I know you want to project that Kante did it all by himself, but he didn't ok. They complimented each other brilliantly. He was the only player whose form didn't drop off a cliff post title win. It was only from the time he picked up a hip flexor injury that his form dropped off, he was being managed through the rest of the season with it because he was still our best midfielder, even with one working leg. Hence him not being allowed to join up with England despite the call ups.

He's the sort of player you adore when he's your own and detest when he's not. That's usually a sign of a decent player as well. There is good reason Arsenal wanted him, your manager fancies him, Diego Simeone raved about him and Mourinho has sought him out personally to give him praise . He's never going to be silky smooth, but he just adds something a bit different. He's dismantled United, Liverpool, City single-handedly previously and got a brace against Arsenal several times. I know I've been on here bigging up him, Mahrez, Drinkwater and Kante last year. But really outside of those four (and now N'Didi & Maguire) I wouldn't do it about our other players. They were the ones who always had something extra about them, another level up.

A little stat that was floating around the other day. Goals against top 6 since Vardy starting playing in the prem: Vardy 17 in 34 Lukaku 5 in 35 Vardy continues to improve every season even at his age, presumably because he came into top level football so late. He has done the learning later on, that the lads sat in academies do in their early years. His touch and build up play has moved exponentially since our first season up. Anyway, unless he has a buy out clause it's just not going to happen because he's our most important player. It would have to be one of the most ridiculous offers ever to even get on the Chairman's desk. Oh and he's in all the training videos for the Man U game from this morning. So anyone suggesting this is almost done and dusted is just making it up.
  15. Why do you have a problem with other fans coming on here and talking football if they are doing so sensibly. It just shows up your intellect if you can't debate, but just attempt to rubbish other teams. We might be a midtable team, but when I was growing up you were nothing more than that. Remember where you came from and where you've been. Just because you were midtable doesn't mean all your players are that level, considering you bought one of our players and he's now your best player you'd think you might understand that. Perhaps you're just one of those fans that only started supporting Chelsea when you started throwing money at it, if that's the case then I feel for you.
  16. Pathetic response.
  17. I would more than happily thanks!
  18. Kante had a buy out clause, if he didn't you wouldn't have bought him for £32m. AC Milan and Juve get quoted different prices to all premier league clubs. We get quoted £35m+ for someone like Troy Deeney. If you want to buy premier league teams best players, you have to pay over the odds because we all have the cash. Do you think our billionaire owners need the cash, especially after such a lucrative couple of seasons we've had? There is absolutely no reason for us to want to sell unless it's a silly offer. I know it's frustrating, but we're in the same boat as you. £30m for the likes of Keane, Pickford, £50m for Walker, £50m for Stones, £50m for Sterling this figures have set the market.
  19. Your owner has pumped in billions, is there any season particularly why you are now worried about an extra £15m?
  20. You mean, you've only known about him for one year. The fact you think he was terrible last season says it all, he was pretty much the only player performing up until his injury. After which his form dropped as he was playing with problems for the rest of the season. Hence him constantly withdrawing or the club making him unavailable for England despite Southgate wanting him. Our players in terms of quality in order were and are Kante > Mahrez > Vardy > Drinkwater > Kasper..... the rest some way behind. He's a veryh good player, without watching him week in week out the stats would show you as much if you compare his all round contribution compared to most. Championship CM's get sold to the premier league for £10m. To suggest effectively the fourth best player in our team that won the title somehow costs the same as Jeff Hendricks did a season ago is laughable.
  21. It doesn't matter what you bid, we're not going to sell him with just over a week to go. He's probably our most important player, our talisman and the owners aren't going to dismantle our team by selling him Drinkwater and Mahrez in one go. We don't need the money, the owners don't need the money. We'd let one of the three go at most, with Vardy being the least likely. It would take a stupid amount of money and we'd need a replacement in before he went. The market has been a nightmare this summer and everyone has struggled pretty much, the club know that and aren't going to do anything stupid.
  22. Maguire looks brilliant so far, despite having to carry Morgan who looks to have regressed massively over the last 6 months. He's top draw on the ball, gives us another dimension completely rather than Huth and Morgan punting the ball 9 times out of 10. If we managed to get another ball playing CB to play with Maguire I'd be confident of having a very good season. People were laughing at us paying £12m for him (rising to £17m) all summer, just because he's English and looks like a Potato. I don't think they'll be laughing for too long though. Another case of English talent being sneered at.
  23. Considering we've already turned down bids around that amount you are wasting your time. The board haven't and won't shift from it's valuation, which from what we know was £40m for a foreign team and £50m from premier league teams. The bloke is top level and playing with high quality players will only elevate him further. Spurs spent £30m on Sissoko, Everton £29m on Bolasie, Everton £45m on Sigurdsson. None of whom have ever come close to the levels Mahrez has reached. Mahrez's worst season is still twice as good as Sissoko and Bolasie. As or Vardy that I've seen mentioned today, we've got about as much chance of signing Kante back this summer as you have Vardy. He wouldn't be sold at any price with less than two weeks of the window left. He's so important to us the board wouldn't even entertain it.
  24. How many league winners medals do they have playing almost every game and being on of that teams best players? Priased by people who watch him week in week out and dismissed by people who don't.... and you sneer at the people who know the player better. He's pulled out through injury of every England squad for almost the entire 16/17 season. Because people are obsessed with foreign players, English players are often looked at as muck by most if they aren't at a big team. Constantly sneered at and derided, just like Vardy who continues to score for England and Leicester regularly. He got a lot of derision, I was here arguing against it.
  25. I think it's safe to assume this whole threads discussion is based around the fact the rumour might be true.
