  1. City and Arsenal faced similar issues, replaced their no1 keepers at the time and never looked back. Time for us to step up and Alonso to put his foot down.
  2. I don't mind Enzo but I wouldn't lose sleep if we sold him, it's just a shame it's going to be to City and not a different league. I am more concerned about who we are going to replace him with, if we're after someone like Adam Wharton then they will want Enzo money.
  3. Yup and like I said I hope he proves me wrong. I’m of the opinion we have some quality up top anyway in Estevao, Cole and Joao and what worries me is defence and midfield. If it was me that sort of money would be used there. Just my opinion.
  4. Happy to spend the money, I just don't think the player we bought warrants the money. That's all, it's not that deep.
  5. This is just saying if we actually play his Leverkusen formation but I’d go for Palmer/Estevao as 10s, we're only playing 1 game a week and I want Estevao so start as much as possible. If Rogers starts left wing of a 4231 then fair enough but I still wouldn't have spent that much on him. I like Rogers but that's silly money, I would have said 80m is expensive but maybe it's just me stuck in my old ways of transfer fees. I don't think most of the players going for that much warrant the fees that are going round. If he's that expensive I would have been content just getting another upcoming kid like a Nusa and then spend that sort of money on experience in the middle and centre back.
  6. I'd sell Enzo tomorrow but I am all for sh*t housery when it goes well, I enjoy it more than watching Spain pass 800 times in one game and score one goal.
  7. Famous last words from me but I don’t rate this signing. Very happy to prove me wrong but we have had our pants pulled down well and truly, good player but not particularly exceptional at anything. He wouldnt start for me if we played with 2 number 10s. I agree it’s football and the fees are absurd, I wouldn’t have paid 80 for him. Makes Gordon’s deal to Barca look like a bargain.
  8. My list is way too long so I'll just list the limited few I would say are not for sale. Levi, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Reece, Hato and Caicedo. If any club comes in for the likes of Cole or Enzo and pays silly money then I wouldn't say no but the chuckle brothers would have to spend it then so maybe i'll keep Cole aswell.
  9. I feel like we've been here before. Briefs about top class managers and then we get Potter and managers from the championship. I'll believe it when I see it but the next manager for them is make or break because they have failed way too many times now and they can't hide from hiring Rosenior as he was their project.
  10. You can’t help but laugh. what a mess
  11. Talking facts in your own head. Listen to me, they are the type of team we used to build. A big imposing team of players coming into or are in their prime and a team looking to win, I couldn't give two sh*ts how they win. I did not compare them to Terry, Lampard and Drogba.
  12. I am comparing their squad with our squad, stop being so touchy. They have a team full of physicality all over the pitch and they look like men and we look like boys. We used to have that across the pitch and we don't anymore.
  13. Arsenals squad is everything we used to be. We’ve turned into them during the later Wenger years. Owners have stripped away our identity. Well go again in the summer, sell the flops and buy some more kids. This team isn’t going anywhere until the owners are gone. This is our level now.
  14. Not gonna have a pop at the manager as he's done ok so far. I think Arsenal are a clear example of a team that's fit for premier league football, big strong athletic players it's like an old Mourinho side. Pedro did ok but they have the best back 4 in europe and I do have faith in Estevao but Delap, Garnarcho are out of their depth and Gittens is not going to change a game. I don't care who the manager is, if you come up against top players you need quality to deliver.
  15. I don't think we've done that bad containing them it's just we lack the quality in attack. Delap is not fit for purpose on the right and if you swap him for Estevao then you have someone who can make something out of nothing. It's only really Pedro right now that can do that.
  16. He seems like an impressive guy, the more I watch him and the more I read about it I can't help but get behind him. No faith in Clearlake whatsoever but for Liams sake I hope he does well.
  17. Second manager to walk under them. Project is going well
  18. I don't care for Maresca and if he was sacked tomorrow my mood wouldn't change. Core issue remains upstairs, it's not Todd and to be honest I don't think it's the sporting directors because they are just doing the bidding of one man. Behdad Eghbali is the main issue and until he decides to put his ego away then the circus will continue. The fact that all the dirty laundry just gets aired out in media briefs just sums up the state of this club.
  19. As much as I don’t like Maresca and think his football stinks out the place. Our squad building has been atrocious. Carragher made some comments in the week that everyone with blue tinted glasses on fumed over but we have signed so many unproven players and we are no where near the team we had under Tuchel. Without Palmer we are a conference league side.
  20. Manager keeps on using a player we accepted a bid for and was about to leave on the last day ahead of 100m+ signings.
  21. Looked like a club that were having their first season in Europe and not a club that's won it twice. I did not expect us to go there tonight and beat them but the delusion in me still believes that a Chelsea side can go and upset someone in Europe like that but that Chelsea is long gone.
  22. A football club maybe a business in the eyes of many but it's not to fans who have supported this club before Clearlake and they will when Clearlake move on. We can bicker, whine and piss and moan about it as much as we want because if we feel that something is off there's going to be a concern. If they have done something right no doubt people will praise it, I totally understand where you want to be positive and I admire it but we're not going to celebrate them escaping something down to their own incompetence. I don't celebrate selling hotels and the womens team as a clever loophole, it's them trying to fix the mistakes they have made. I want this lot to be transfer banned so the club can breathe!
