Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

Thought the decline would be for a generation when they cleared out all remnants of the Roman era without any handover or progression. It's a simple sporting rule, in passing the baton you never let go. This mob did exactly that.

So like the scouse, like Man Utd, like the Arse, this could be 15 years or more in the wilderness.

We've now snookered ourselves money wise, saddled ourselves with a mediocrity mind set and are now going to continue down a path of sub par, also runs as managers.

Killed the club I love, fckers.

Another one that likes to invert fullbacks from the sounds of it, this time even less qualified than Maresca was.

We are quickly turning into a midtable club.

Why would any top players see the best part of the careers here? Money isnt top, you dont play under top coaches, better stadiums elsewhere, there are very few elite players here, we dont buy elite players either.

Awful project.

fixed it... four years of this has led us to being a midtable side. We are a selling club despite the outlay and If the board get the next manager wrong, there will be a queue of players pushing their agents to find another club in the summer. Especially if they play well at the World Cup.

I'll keep an open mind if he is appointed, but I can't say I'll be exactly turning cartwheels of delight ...

You never know, he might immediately do something ballsy and popular (with me anyway LOL) like give Andrey Santos the vice captaincy ahead of Enzo.

Already made him captain at Strasbourg ...

Not a fan, but if he can do the most basic of things, like playing players in their right positions and teaching the team how to defend, he might win me over.

Apparently as a player he was a full back himself, so you'd have to hope he has a more conventional view of the RB and LB positions than Maresca did with his inverting #10s.

That would be a good start ...

If Rosenior is appointed there needs to be massive protests against it. It isn't even against Rosenior because even he will know he shouldn't be anywhere near this job, it would be an absolute embarrassment.

Always the possibility that he'd turn it down because he doesn't feel ready !

Hard one to pass up though, when you might never get offered the chance again ...

That why you can't even blame him if he takes it, but it'll become apparent within months that he'd be out of his depth. Nobody can watch that PE teacher speech he gave in the changing room at Strasbourg and think he's going to keep us on track to becoming an elite team again.

Love that ... "the leading candidate" ... as if they ever had more than one LOL

Well... I mean there is the small chance.... like 0.0000001% chance... they could be honest for a change and Mod would need to Edit the thread to...

Welcome new Chelsea first team manager... Behdad Egbahli!

BBC reporting he is the favourite to take the job. Season is over. Hopefully City win the Prem and somebody not named Arsenal win the Champions League.

He will be in place no later than tomorrow imo.

They are likely scrambling to figure out who replaces him at Strasbourg, aka our next next or next next next head coach.

That was my thinking. The main focus is on finding the replacement at Strasbourg since they also own them.

Hope everybody is preparing themselves for the likes of Palmer and Caicedo to start pushing for moves. Estevao soon to follow.

No way these players are wasting their careers on this. Playing for Championship (at best) quality coaches when all 3 of them could be playing at the elite level with the best coaches in the world right now.

They very likely had someone in mind BUT I really think they intend to do all this in the summer when, ideally, we made top 4 And City paid us compensation for Maresca.

Honestly mate they should be already. Careers are short and they wont reach the top level with CFC LDN BlueCo.

And maybe them leaving is the step we need for the match going fans to step up and stop buying. Money out of their pockets is the only way we push them to sell. They wont change
