Caicedo and Lavia is a very good midfield pairing if they're both fit, but with Lavia in the conversation it's a very big if.

Bothers me when people class James as a midfield option, even though the club treats him as such, because if he was purely a midfielder he'd be playing at a bottom half of the prem team. There is now a lot of pressure on Caicedo to stay fit, if he does then I think we are ok to make it through to the January transfer window, but if he's injured we are well and truly screwed.

Kone to Chelsea Gittens to Roma Gibbs-White (or another top flexible AM) to Chelsea I'd me more than happy with this, although it's pretty unlikely Forest would consider selling MGW this late in the window.

Well Caicedo was the missing link there, signing a Camara or Kone feels like a back up for him rather than someone who complements Caicedo. I just feel that if we were to sell Enzo we need a signing that improves our squad, selling Enzo and bringing in Camara/Kone doesn't do that in my opinion.

Absolutely laughable that these are the guys we're looking at to replace Enzo. Yesterday showed how badly we need a midfielder and getting a cheaper option like Kone or Camara is a big step backwards for the squad.

All valid, I'll wait until a few more weeks down the line and give him the benefit of the doubt, we need this midfield situation sorted before the end of the window for sure otherwise we can expect more of these types of games.

Tbf what's Alonso meant to do with that midfield? Caicedo obviously not fit and Enzo about to be sold. Palestra has been brought in to play RWB and he isn't fit yet so we've whacked Neto there who can't defend.

I don't wanna dig him out too much given he's been playing out of position most of the game, but Gusto is the only one of the players we slapped a high valuation on that I didn't understand. The bloke is not good, if we could have gotten £35m-£40m for him rather than the £65m we asked for we should just take it

I think the game has shown how much we need a midfielder to play alongside Caicedo. Hopefully it's just precautionary him getting subbed off.
