  1. As far away from Liam Rosenior as possible would be an advantage over what the rest of our players had to deal with last season.
  2. We can joke all we want but if Mudryk was to come back he would instantly be our best LW. The ability was always there but his brain was always 2 steps behind, if he's improved that over the past 18 months then he'd be a really good player.
  3. X (formerly Twitter)N’golinho🇵🇸 (@CFC_Abshir) on XLove him or hate him he’s too clutch
  4. Unless he fully forces a move I don't think we should be trying to sell him. He's a top player who's been held back a lot by the awful decisions made by our board, he was signed to be an important leader in a team going for titles and 3 years later he's being managed by Liam Rosenior.
  5. That reminds me, a huge congratulations on the appointment of our new data analyst, Stevie Wonder.
  6. In terms of footballers I still think Lavia is a better player, but what does it matter if the guy is never fit.
  7. Say what you like about him but he loves a crucial goal
  8. Can we just give him away in a raffle or something?
  9. I'll just reply to you all here as you've said similar stuff. We've absolutely spent money on sh*te, I know it, you know it and by now I think the board know it. That being said, we can't counteract spunking hundreds of millions on young players who mostly won't ever be good enough by spending a very large sum of money on a 34 year old. Sunderland have no reason to sell and they don't want to sell at any near reasonable price because he's one of their best players. Unless Xhaka kicks off and demands a move, which it doesn't look like he is, it's a dead end and for once I can't blame the board for it. But what I will look out for is who we go for next.
  10. I've been as critical as anyone about the owners, but what are they supposed to do when Sunderland won't sell him? We can't expect them to spend £30m+ on a 34 year old, it just isn't feasible.
  11. I'm happy for him to stay, I think he'll do well under Alonso, but Pastore can f**k off. If I were Enzo I'd bin that twat off, he's been pushing to move Enzo along so he can get a fat agent fee and instead he's made him look like a mug.
  12. On the plus side at least you've still got your scapegoat for every game we lose 😉
  13. Seeing Havertz miss a penalty made the late night worth it. That Germany goal should have stood in my opinion, but having said that, justice for Lampard!
  14. You'd be surprised, the revisionist history around Maresca when Rosenior was manager was crazy.
  15. I'm so glad this has all come out officially, the Maresca fan boys can stop believing he was some sort of martyr that left millions on the table because he didn't like the owners. In reality, he was plotting to slither his way over to Man City. Good riddance, I look forward to Man City's collapse when his dire football has them moving down the table and the fans turn on him within a couple of years.
  16. Delap will be quality at a team like Everton, Palace, Newcastle etc, but right now he just isn't ready to be at a team like Chelsea.
  17. Outstanding season for Sunderland and gives us some experience that we need.
  18. Just when you think it can't get any worse
  19. I definitely get why people think Chalobah is good, it's because all of our other centre backs were so colossally sh*t that he looked the best of a bad bunch. I really like Trev as a person, but as a player he's just not very good.
  20. He looks a good player, but the French CBs we already have have given me player PTSD, like buying from the Bundesliga.
  21. I really rate Palestra, he's a big improvement on Gusto. It's a lot of money for someone with his experience though, but given he's a proper wing back it shows it's more than likely an Alonso signing which is good
  22. I've said this before, but there's a lot of talk about how players like Cucurella and Enzo are 'locker room leaders' and yet we an ill disciplined crop who happily down tools when things go wrong. From what we see on the pitch it doesn't exactly show their leadership skills in a good light.
  23. I don't think we can complain about the price given Boehly massively overpaid for him in the first place. Hopefully we go and get Hall back.
  24. Yeah we've stitched him up really and stalled his development. I don't think there's a world where he gets loaned out for a season or two and comes back ready to lead the line, but it's possible if he gets sold to a team like Espanyol or Levante he could become a solid La Liga striker.
