I'm struggling to fathom what any of this mumbo jumbo sh*te has got to do with Chelsea Vintage.

Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea
It was him who named Zola Red Rum owing to his big teeth. One of those strong personalities that every dressing room needs, of which we are probably lacking right now.

Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea
I first noticed him at Wimbledon where he was more of a winger/ wide midfielder. He was a superb crosser of the ball with either feet which is pretty rare. I met him once and he struck me as a tough little sod with crazy eyes.

Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea
In my humble opinion, he's one of the best 6 or 7 attacking players in the world. Better than Zola in my book, and that's something .

Good shout recognising lowly old Watfords keeper after all these years. The Shelf looks well packed- it's one of those rare ones where the home end was a side- Man City had it, Birmingham I think, Pompey....

Great finish to a game. I'm running down the aisle at 5.18 with a Burberry raincoat ( before they were chavvy)

Ha ha. Someone else. He turned his back on FV probably not long after that photo, following an appearance at Horseferry Road Magistrates.

I've just recognised my cousin in the top picture. Not sure about the sort in hospital. You wouldn't fancy a bed bath off that!

Our New Stadium
Are Carillion being invited to tender? Ps It may be a little late in the day alas, but the common sense move would be for us to swap places with Brompton Boneyard next door. There's loads of space there for us to construct a new ground, whilst all the stiffs could be relocated in a big hole roughly where the centre circle now lies. Forgive me for being logical.

I went to both those Leicester games. There was a punch up in their main stand at Filbert Street which went on for a good while. ( Jimmy Hill mentioned at half time that two groups of men were knocking crap out of each other close to the commentary box) For the replay Erland Johnsen won us a slightly dodgy penalty late on I remember. Very eventful games those two.

I remember Hughes was very nonchalant about in all in the post match interview " It's my job, what I'm paid to do" etc. That era was up there with my favourite times to be a Chelsea fan.

Micky Droys shirts from that period all look two sizes to small for him. I think they were the first tops we had made from a shiny material rather than cotton. Agree about the Chelsea collection. That jade one was murder. ps shiny materials were a real game changer. I think Adidas got there first with Dundee Utd being the earliest I remember.

Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea
Abramovitch comes across as a pretty dull bloke. If you didn't know better, he could be a sluice gate operator at a sewage treatment plant. He wears boring clothes, a vacant expression, and looks about as much fun as an orphanage on fire.

Our New Stadium
Hands up. The "1 million per game match revenue at Arsenal" figure I lifted from Hazards Right Foots post - that's the last time I take notice of that thick .... ( joking) A bit like copying someone else's homework and getting it wrong. Please feel free to use my stadium finance thesis as lavatory paper- I know I will! The revised calculation based on 3/4 million per game, now means we will pay off the stadium in roughly a fortnight. Sorry for the confusion guys.

Quite right. When he's skint, living in a dustbin and nicking food of bird tables, he might just reflect on the wisdom of the Lambert and Butler man.

Our New Stadium
Amendment to the above; I've just seen a projected figure of 11,000 corporate seats as opposed to 17,000 ( unsure what number is correct) If this is the case our matchday revenue would be similar to Arsenal at 1 Mill per game, which amounts to the stadium paying for itself after a mere thirty three years.

Our New Stadium
Just running a few back of fag packet calculations, based on the speculative one billion price tag. Im guessing we would be looking at matchday revenues of approx 1.3 million per game. ( Arsenal with a 60,000 capacity and 9,600 corporate seats generate one million per game, we intend to cater for 17,000 corporate tossers, so an educated guess suggests we might receive 1.3 million) Average season 30 home games, equals 40 million per year. A billion equates to 25 years at 40 million; ticket price inflation over that period hasn't been factored in, however if the stadium build is financed by dept, that dept would also be subject to inflation. In a nutshell, it would take twenty five years to pay for itself by my admittedly crude reckoning, which doesn't make financial sense. The numbers don't add up. Abramovitch, benefactor aside is a businessman. I just can't see him financing something of that scale as a vanity project.

Good question, deserves an answer. Some of the old blue and white bar scarfs used to fade light blue after a few years too. You could do a subsection on Chelsea scarfs we've owned. I've had this one, a couple of traditional bar scarfs, and a yellow and green longways striped one ( away colours circa 1980), which I managed to lose in the cup at Loftus Road in 96.

70s silk scarf Ive just refound after moving house a recently. The wife put it in the wash a couple of years ago after it was showing the effects of beer spillage, which pretty much wiped out the rampant lion imprints- if you look hard you can just see the faint impression of one.

Our New Stadium
I also have a gut feeling that the new stadium will end in tears. Keep the East and West Stands, increase capacity by redeveloping Shed and Matthew Harding- one at a time- ( bollox to all singing, all dancing 60,000 capacity) The way things are going it might be an idea if the stands don't actually face toward the pitch.

I watched that game on Sportsnight with the old man. Id played football meself that night- neither of us knew what the final score was. At half time he piped up with " are Chelsea gonna score 4 second half goals or am I gonna go to bed"? Luckily he stayed up. Roy Hattersley MP was in the West Stand for the home leg.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I think the best outcome would be a separation of coach and club by mutual consent, however there's probably a good few million reasons why Antonio wouldn't go for that. Regarding chatter of Terry or Lampard taking the reigns some time in the future, does anyone know whether either of them has expressed a desire to get into management, and have they got their pro- badges yet? My feeling is that they wouldn't need either the dough or the associated aggro, but I no nothing of the actual facts.
