Surely it's a more prudent idea to appeal early, as if the punishment did get reduced to 1 transfer window only, the January one would be far more preferable one to miss than the summer one.

I'm completely stunned as I had no idea we were under investigation. Fingers crossed our legal team can get this ridiculously over the top punishment rescinded, although I'm sure FIFA will do everything in their power to make sure it sticks.

I think the goal you mention was against Valencia (JT was wearing a mask) and indeed it was a great goal. Also there were plenty of screamers in the count down but there was also plenty of maze-ups, passing moves and counter attacks too.

I too saw that recently. A number of Chelsea goals were rather conspicuous by their absence. Lampard's goal from an impossible angle against Barca was in there though, I think it was around the mid to late twenties.

Got to say it was rather pathetic by Referee Dean to send Wenger to the stands, although I had to laugh when Wenger got up there and stood with his arms out asking "where do you want me to go?" Both teams didn't look too great to me, the early plaudits lavished by the media onto Arsenal were shown to be worthless when they came up against a resolute defense and Man Utd looked pretty toothless bar Rooney. On this showing we've got nothing to fear from either team.

Good solid first half, stand outs are Drogba and Essien, both playing very well, Lampard looks like he's having one of those days where nothing seems to be coming off for him, thought the same of Anelka until he scored.

Maybe Notts County will come in for him!! To be honest though it wouldn't surprise me if he eventually ended up playing in the States, what with his wife being American.
