  1. Was disappointed in Gullet too! Really disappointed that Chelsea didn't go through - although I'm a Rangers fan I watched the game in a Celtic pub (Client a Celtic fan) and was really irritated that EVERYONE IN THE PLACE was cheering when that Barca team got through! They didn't deserve it - Chelsea should be through to the final!
  2. When you believe in things you don't understand... What lengths do you go to to 'help' Chelsea? Be honest... Had a great yrs back when a comedy show up here showed a Celtic fan listening to the Old Firm game indoors. They scored and he was in part of the living room then Rangers scored and he rushed back to where Celtic scored. It was funny because I'm a bit like that too - if I'm at a particular place when a good result comes Rangers' way then I'll try to be there when there's another important game. I know it's silly but what the hey...
  3. Cheers. Which teams do the three teams face on the final day?
  4. Must say I've my fingers crossed that Man Utd drop some points tonight and Chelsea win! It'd be great if it could go to the last game of the season (with Chelsea winning of course) as it just heightens the enjoyment! What's the final round of fixtures with Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool, and do they all take place on the same day to avoid unfairness?
  5. Must say Loz it's very frustrating as I'm a person that has a few quid in the bank and always makes sure the income exceeds the outgoings. In the football world we're continually told it's 'NATURAL' for clubs to run up a debt... Well, I don't know if that's true but in the 'Sharp' household everything has to balance!
  6. Hope you're right there BJK! Trouble is we can't really get an idea of Murray what EXACTLY the debt is - everytime he comes out with statements, a couple of days go by and then someone then say's 'Aye, but he's not factored in xxxx'. If only he'd come clean with the EXACT amount of debt at the start of a season WITHOUT putting in the monies collected for Season Tickets. Must say Chelsea have a much better BIGGER income but I do think they like everyone will have to pay the piper when these Capitalist Businessmen decide their ego has been caressed for long enough....
  7. He's one of those Goalies that gets away with lots but when the opposition give him pelters he's easy to 'put off' and then tries to be 'Too Cool' and makes an ass of himself (V Northern Ireland)! Despite continually Blessing himself in front of Bears I doubt very much if this tosspot even goes to Chapel. Must say I do think the other Pole Celtic are getting in the summer is miles better and although McGregor is better than Boruc the present Dundee Utd keeper looks loads better. The thing that annoys us Rangers fans though is that he gets away with all sorts of gestures to crowds (not just Rangers) and continually gives the 'Ham Shankers' sign to Rangers fans and there is no action taken against him... Whereas the likes of Ferguson are booed by the assholes in the Tartan Army and they do a silly wee V sign and all hell breaks out! Consistency...
  8. I'll need to have a good look at that - have to be honest and say I'm don't really understand Economics Balance Sheets, but at least you gave me a Positive slant!!! Cheers!
  9. Great link blueday3! Now, I'm even more worried...
  10. Our spending has went down in recent years too and even having got to a Uefa Cup Final and the money they got from that run we're still gonna be trading at a loss. Chelsea must be paying big salaries to get the quality of player you have and the Capacity and Ticket prices must be really high? I'd maybe not rely too much on TV money (I hear you all get £50 M per season down there) as with the Economy so uncertain (2011 seems a bit like pie in the sky to be honest) who's to say that when it comes to the Premiership cutting the next TV deal that the cash will be there? Don't wanna rain on the Chelsea parade - (was in a pub in Glasgow and the vast majority were in mixtures of Liverpool / Celtic colours shouting for the Reds) as I was well happy you got through - almost got my c**t kicked in celebrating the final Chelsea goal - but I recall saying the same thing when Murray first took over at Rangers, the replies then when I mentioned that Murray was a Capitalist and isn't here for the good of Rangers, where "some people are never happy". These days when almost EVERY SINGLE fan is criticising him the replies are "I'll bet you never complained when we where within an inch of the European Cup Final and Gazza and Laudrup showing their skills taking us to our 2nd Nine In A Row"... I wish Chelsea every success but you'll maybe have to remember there's a downsize at some point? Am I missing something? Do you not pay out more than you take in and is the debt not rising? I even hear Man Utd are £50 M in debt...
  11. and I'm well pleased Chelsea won too - but sooner or later surely the Piper has to be paid? Or am I missing something...
  12. Must say as a Rangers fan I'm worried lots by Murray's running of RFC and the fact that the debts are mounting up while areas of the 'business' that made profits were sold to his offspring and work on the stadium was put out to one of his own Companies. The debts keep mounting and it looks like we're gonna have to have some kinda fans agreement to buy him out sooner or later. It's a major worry. With Chelsea what is the score financially and do you worry about at what stage the Russian will want to get his money back?
  13. Totally agree ;) - bad Karma...
  14. Hopefully Hiddink will be the man next season - don't think I'd go down the road of having Jose back, history shows that 2nd time round in terms of players and managers (less so admittedly) doesn't work!
  15. A Horse With No Name started following Fitzy89
  16. I'd certainly agree with (3) and the reason being is that although Gerrard can look better it's mainly because he's in an inferior team - only Liverpool's negative play suits him (they bore other teams with their negativity and then he provides a flash of creativy/goals - it's akin to Ali and the Rumble in the Jungle / Rope a Dope strategy) - if he where to go away to Barcelona etc then more would be expected! We've (Rangers under Walter Smith) done the same as Liverpool last season without having a player like Gerrard to conjur up anything really special from midfield!!
