You can't possibly be happy with the way Rafa's teams have done in the Premiership, can you? I mean Houllier at least went pretty close to winning it. Since the Houllier era the Premiership in terms of quality has gone up a lot. In between then Fergies still been at Man Utd and Wengers still been at Arsenal , still building on their own squads. Chelsea have been fortuate enough to have a man come in and give them the world to turn your team into world beaters overnight. Liverpool however is a different story. Houlliers squad was full of rubbish and dead wood , Diouf ,Diao, Cheyrou (even if he did win it at the bridge:P) , Heskey etc. Rafa has had to basically clear out Houlliers side and build his own which he still is as it takes time and every Liverpool fan will back him to the hilt. If Benitez gets sacked , we're right back to square one.
  2. just in a singing mood , i cant seem to shift songs out of my head after i come home from a game and carry on singing for the rest of the day....this stuff about Kirkby FC has just started me off again.
  3. Kirkby FC fans are bitter and always will be , a good season for them is not progressing well in the league but Liverpool not winning anything. They call themselves 'The People's Club' yet are moving out of the city and im pretty sure if they were 'The People's Club' they wouldnt have to advertise their season tickets on the radio. WE'RE NOT GOING TO MOSCOW BUT YOUR STILL GOING TO TESCO NANANANANANANANANA

Im not Gerrards greatest fan , ever since a celebration against Portsmouth were he pointed at himself and said 'me,me,me' . I obviously think he's a brilliant player whose pulled us out of the sh*t countless times but i dont like his attitude one bit. Theres been many examples of him making a stray pass then him blaming the player who it was supposed to go to. I've always said that Carragher should be captain , who is about what everything Liverpool Football Club should be. As for the media theres been many a time when i've come away from a game and said Gerrard went missing there to my mates or my dad and then looked in the papers and he's been given a rating of an 8/10 when he's barely been a 6/10. If we could get any one player it would be Messi , the way he just skips past players effortlessly is class and the way we play now i think he suit pefectly on the right hand side. As well as Dirk Kuyt has done in that position , he doesnt have either the pace or the skill to take on players time after time. As for players leaving... Riise (not for 'that goal' but for the fact his thunderbolt goals have been masking his actual ability for 2/3 seasons now) Voronin Pennant Kewell Those four are players i definitely hope to see leaving , but i wouldnt be suprised to see the like of Finnan and Crouch and even maybe Alonso leaving. I also hope Lucas Leiva is sent on loan somewhere in the Championship because the lad needs to be toughened up if he wants to play in the Premiership. Torres is superb and his song including the bouncing is equally as good even if my knees are killing me from it all. I dont think anyone could of expected him to be as good as he has been and it looks like he's next in line as top top strikers we've had after likes of Dalglish , Rush , Fowler. Also people always say we're a one man side , yeah but his name is not Steven Gerrard , it is Fernando Torres HIS ARMBAND PROVED HE WAS A RED TORRES TORRES YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE IT SAID TORRES TORRES WE GOT THE LAD FROM SUNNY SPAIN HE GET THE BALL HE SCORES AGAIN FERNANDO TORRES LIVERPOOLS NUMBER 9 BOUNCE! NANANANANNANANANNANANANNANANANANANNANANANANANANANANA FERNANDO TORRES LIVERPOOLS NUMBER 9 As for Benitez , i think he's become unsackable with whats gone on and has the full support of the fans including myself.
  5. True , and we're very happy that Rafa has become virtually unsackable , I believe though we are going forward as a club as we've been closer to the top than we have been since Houllier guided us to 2nd. Our problem is that our squad just isnt good enough at the moment to compete , yes we have quality players in Torres , Gerrard , Mascherano , Reina , Agger (when fit) and Carragher but say they get injured who do we have...Lucas , Voronin , Pennant etc . The big big big problem that we have goes by the name of Tom Hicks. We were told... - Work would commence on our new stadium immediately - Debt would not be put on the club - Rafa would get the full backing of the new board ALL LIES. sooner Hicks and Gillett go the better , even though i feel a bit sorry for Gillett as he didnt want this to happen , he wanted to buy the club on his own but couldnt do it. Hicks' big mouth is ruining everything Liverpool FC is and Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley are probably turning in their graves. He is trying to turn us into a money making machine for his own gain not the clubs. He wants us to be like Manchester United and quite frankly we dont want to be Manchester United. Id rather see us win nothing for the next 20 years than turn into a Manchester United kind of club. The sickening thing is that the pair could make a £150m profit from doing absolutly nothing other than ruin the clubs reputation. We have no idea whether DIC would be any better but i doubt they could be any worse than these jokers. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT RAFA THEY DONT CARE ABOUT FANS LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB IS IN THE WRONG HANDS rant over.
  6. See i was going ask where our 18 League Trophies , 5 European Cups , 7 FA Cups , 7 league Cups etc etc where but id probably leave myself wide open to a good old scouse stealing joke....so i wont
  7. I do wonder why players drag their kids out at the end of the season. OK if you win the title or maybe win on cup final day you may want to share a special moment with your family and the fans but when you have under achieved then you should just go out there, make sure you pay due respect to, and thank, the fans who have supported you through the season and then keep your head down and start to think about doing better the next season. I am not talking specifically about Liverpool today, that was just an example of it - lots of other clubs do it and we may well end up doing it at the end of this season irrespective of whether we win anything. You could argue that at least we have at least challenged for the title unlike Liverpool but when you then take into account the embarrassing cup exit to Barnsley and the humbling defeat in the League Cup final it wouldn't really be a season that merits a major 'all the family' celebration. Yeah i dont understand the need for the kids to be out with them , particular as it was raining heavily at the time but i guess its just become tradition that the kids come out aswell and i guess Rafa in particular wanted to say thank you to the fans properly for the support he's had during the laughing stock that Liverpool FC has turned into thanks to a certain person.
  8. So that means i can call him Coco the clown without him knowing does it not
  9. I saw that too. including the 'lap of honour' at the end with the players and their kids. In 15 years time one proud teenager is going to turn to his Daddy and say 'Papa, remember back in 2008 when you took me out onto the pitch at Anfield?' Papa Steve: 'Yes Son' Little S: 'What were we celebrating?' Papa Stevie: 'Goodness me is that the time!' har har , same could happen with little JT , you've won nothing yet ........i very much doubt he'll say 'Papa' either...more along the lines of 'Da' on a sidenote , Jamie Carraghers kids went nuts and did multiple lap of honours , in the process probably running further than Voronin has all season. someones spitting their dummy out...
  10. It seems while ive been away watching Liverpool end the last home game of the season fittingly via a Fernando Torres goal a couple of people have gone nuts regarding me being on here , apparantly im on a wind up , when actually im not , if i was you'd know about and dont you think if it was i would have broken out the 'f**k off Chelsea FC you aint got no history' by now. thats not a wind up , thats what it looked like. Are you telling me it wasnt ? Also i've only really posted in this thread , a thread laughing at Liverpool FC after the semi final which is fair enough , we did the same thing to Chelsea so its your problem if you want to keep coming back to see what i've said, If you want to talk all things Chelsea why come into this thread when theres plenty of others. ps. El Nino = The Kid
  11. to be fair , on a European night no other english club does. Mancs haven't , Arsenal haven't and your atmosphere on wedensday night was rather artificial with all your little flags but at least you lot are trying to create some sort of atmosphere , Fergie only wishes his prawn sandwich brigade of fans could do the same. Scousers are the Catalans of England? In a way yes , as it happens there were aload of Catalans absolutley off their faces in our pub on wednesday bouncing around to the Torres song saying that we were like them.
  12. The main reason why I hate Carragher is because of his decision to retire from international duty because he wasn't getting picked. You should consider playing for your country as an honour. The media do give Liverpool some nauseating coverage imo, especially with regards to the atmosphere at Anfield. Commentators cream themselves over it and wax lyrical about it when it is highly overrated. Yes, they make a lot of noise on big European nights but other clubs do as well. Sometimes the atmosphere at Anfield is absolutely shocking, especially for league games. Alot of people up here dont really care about the national team , certainly in Liverpool anyway. Thats why you'll here the chant 'We're not English We are Scouse' sometimes. I class myself in this aswell , i couldnt careless about England and cringe everytime Gerrard and Crouch go into a tackle in case they get injured. I find it impossible to support a side that includes the likes of Neville , Rooney etc. Yeah the atmosphere at Anfield during league games is getting as bad as the Emirates and Old Trafford and it will be again today but European nights are very very very special at Anfield and we deserve the coverage we get for them in my opinion.
  13. I'd say it's probably that and the fact that we got knocked out of several semi finals by them in recent years. Yep, Anfield last year = worst footballing experience of my life. Plus there's Benitez, Carragher, Gerrard, the media treatment they get and the attitude of some of their fans. Whats wrong with Carragher ? As for the media treatment , the only journalist im aware of who speaks up for us is Brian Reade in The Mirror , who anyway is season ticket holder in the Kop.
  14. Well actually it was stealing from your own fans, amongst other things. There were many reports by Liverpool fans being mugged by other Liverpool fans and having their tickets stolen. Now help me out if my logic is askew but how does that relate to 'frustrations boiling over because people with forged tickets were being let in but people with real tickets were not.' If I have a real ticket and I can't get in because someone with a forged ticket does get in why exactly would I go and steal another real ticket? This particular issue was caused by Liverpool fans who travelled their without a ticket and so determined they were to get one they didn't give a monkeys who they trampled on to get one. An action practically endorsed by Parry when he, in one of the most ill informed and idiotic statements in football history, said that Liverpool fans would find a way to get to the game 'by hook or by crook' The frustrations boiling over argument could be used for the storming of the gates although I would be willing to wager that not all those people storming the gates were people who held valid tickets. I have said it before and i will say it again. I have utmost sympathy for people who bought genuine tickets and got there to find they couldn't get in because other Liverpool fans had got in with forgeries. I have no sympathy for anyone who decided that an appropriate course of action was to charge the gates. If anyone of those people can still talk about 'Justice for the 96' and manage to look at themselves in the mirror then they are sub human. I have no sypmapthy for anyone who decided to storm the gates either but people do stupid things when theyre annoyed which i think any would be when you've payed ridiculous amounts of money to get to Athens etc. The stealing from our own fans were isolated incidents that were blown out of proportion by the media because it was Liverpool and stealing was involved. I still blame Uefa more than some idiotic fans , yes , predictable scouser , shift the blame and all that but if Uefa organized it properly then the people with fake tickets who yes , shouldnt have travelled anyway , wouldnt have got in and should have been dealt with by the local police. As for Rick Parry , the mans a clown...and i sincerely hope that him , Hicks and Gillett all bog off in the summer.
  15. I wasn't there so I've only read about it, but is it UEFA's fault that Liverpool fans forge tickets, steal tickets from their own fans and storm the gates? Ok, the fact that people could get in without a proper ticket IS UEFA's fault, but to quote Jurassic park(a little modified quote): "Yeah, but your [st:3jkf0u8i]scientists[/st:3jkf0u8i] fans were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." Well, that's my view on it...totally based on what I read about it in the press. no the forging of tickets isnt Uefa's fault but it is their fault they let them in the ground , and no doubt they'll also be people who manage to get into the final in Moscow on forged tickets. It would be so much easy if Uefa gave a decent allocation to the sides in the final , The capacity of the Luzhniki stadium is 84,745 so why have Chelsea and Man Utd only been 21,000. It wasnt so much stealing from our own fans it was more fighting due to frustrations boiling over because people with forged tickets were being let in but people with real tickets were not.
  16. Looks like adidas have just done a swap between our clubs , with you lot now having a collar and us now having a v neck.
  17. The topic of the actions of our fans is one that could be discussed for days but my take on certain events is this. Heysel - Our fans were responsible in the tragic events at Heysel , however it wasnt just us that contributed to it , like certain sets of visting supporters like to think with their chants of 'Murderers' etc. A very good read is a book called Scally by Andy Nicholls , an Evertonian football hooligan , who happened to be at Heysel. He states that even he , a die hard Evertonian will not join in with the 'Murderers' chants because other factors were also to blame. Yes it was Liverpool fans fault for causing the initial panic but also "the fault of italian fans who turned up without tickets and ended up in the wrong section , touts selling tickets on the black market and Uefa for staging a major fixture in a crumbling stadium not fit for a connect 4 championship". Athens - Uefa. end of story. the farce that it was ended up with peoples frustrations boiling over and i think it could have happened to any set of supporters in truth. As for our support in league games away from home i dont think we're any worse than anyone else. For anyone going to Moscow i wish you good luck. Uefa are an absolute joke and i expect it to go off there one way or another even though Uefa are probably thinking theyve got lucky with it not ending up being thousands of scousers and mancs , which would have been horrific.
  18. A song from the 1960s....a song that in my lifetime i've only heard sung a couple of times on the train to aways such as Bolton that stop at Manchester along the way, never heard it sung at Anfield since i've been around...so it is sung in retaliation to the song "In your Liverpool slums" that the mancs sing..which is rich coming from them lot. Anyway does stealing not go on all over the country , how come we seem to be the ones stereotyped for it or are you an avid reader of the scum ? If you can say that stealing in Liverpool is glorified by a song from the 1960s then i could say stealing in London is glorified by Del Boy. Have a go at Liverpool FC all you like but dont be having a go at Liverpool as a place , everywhere has its faults , problems etc and everywhere has its brightsides , including London.
  19. In court, defending little mickeys caught stealing from ships? stealing is theft , therefore is criminal law , not maritime law. ahhh the old myth of every scouser being a thief. I hate to burst your bubble but its just not true , in fact go and look for Liverpool in the top 10 robbery hotspots in the country , i can tell you now you wont find it. However our lovely neighbours , Manchester can be found somewhere near the top of it. I love the way the majority of the country seem to believe we are just a load of poverty stricken , deluded idiots. In some ways it benefits us because we just the 'poor scousers' so we are underestimated in everything we do , just like Liverpool are in the champions league , every year we start the competition at ridiculously high odds yet we've won it 5 times and have got to the semi finals 3 out of the last 4 years and to the final twice. In other ways , the stereotypical rubbish could be a problem. For example if i ended up having to relocate to London , id guess that id be one step behind all other applicants just on the basis that i dont sound right , in their opinion.
  20. Well fair play to you, regarding Gerrard, I really don't like his arrogance and don't think I would if I was a Liverpool fan. (Not that my imagination goes that far) I'm sure it's the same feeling for us when Drogba dives, particularly when he so doesn't need to. Yes, you're right, about the accent and not the dialect. But with some people the accent is so strong it's almost impossible to differentiate between the two. I remember the last time I went to Liverpool and having to stop to ask directions, it took me at least four people before I even had a clue where I was supposed to go. Maritime law is an interesting choice. Are you from Liverpool? Would you be able to stay up there to practice, or would you have to move to London? (You never know you might even end up as a Chelsea fan, as there's really no other team in London.) I certainly wish you luck with it. Law is very competitive these days, but as always, if you can succeed it's an excellent and lucrative profession. Yeah im from Liverpool. Its true that alot of work relating to maritime law is in London and *gulp* Manchester. If it came to that , id definitely plump for London. My family didnt even allow me to look at Uni's in Manchester. Fortunately my dad does marine insurance and he knows a fair few people who would be happy to take me on for my placement year so hopefully that will give me some sort of advantage.
  21. I wouldnt say that its all generations in Liverpool using scouse dialect. Most people are just like everyone else in the country...but just with a scouse accent. Im doing Maritime Business , hoping to turn that into a law degree at the end of it and fingers crossed become a maritime solicitor. As for Gerrard , you may not believe me but i've never been his greatest admirers. Yeah he's pulled it out for us at crucial times like against West Ham and Olympiakos but ever since his celebration against Portsmouth at Anfield a couple of seasons back where he pointed at himself saying "me ,me, me" i've never particular liked him. He shouldnt be captain either in my opinion and Jamie Carragher who is "Mr Liverpool" not Gerrard as the media love to say , should be....more of a Torres fan myself
  22. same could be said for some phrases ive heard down south like ...'safe' 'bare' etc
  23. suprisingly i dont do english no...and everyone claims scouse is a different language anyway , so its allowed
  24. Uni student , too much time on my hands , would some it up i think
  25. it is..and no doubt we'll be facing each other again in the semi finals next year back onto subject....it would appear Ashton has a pain in the arse
