There is nothing you can do. When Hicks and Gillett were in charge of Liverpool, they were hated, every supporter made it perfectly clear we didnt want them here. But they didnt give a damn. When it came to deadline day and them having to pay the debts to keep hold of the club, they went all out to stay in control. You only have to look at their actions before they eventually were booted out to know that they didnt give a damn what the supporters felt. And its the same with every other club. For every fan who will boycott in protest, there will be another fan to grab the empty seat.

From an outsiders point of view, the European Cup is the priority. Roman wants that trophy more than the premier league. Qualify for the champions league, and you are safe but do anything other than win it, well, your in trouble. Rafa is the best man for this. He was excellent when it came to European football. Chelsea have had some fantastic managers, but the interference of Roman has disrupted your club from progressing.

If you are lucky, and these two years out have helped to humble Rafa, then you will be getting a very good manager. If however you get the latter,well, your in trouble. When Rafa first joined us he got us to a champions league victory. He did this with a squad that was hit with injuries throughout. He changed tactics at half time against Milan which made all the difference. He was also quick to sell rubbish that he signed. Tactically, he is very astute. That being said though. The longer he was at Anfield, the more control he demanded. As someone mentioned earlier, Rafa is being praised with the work he did with the young players and the improvements made to the youth set up. Praise which is undeserved. It was Gerard Houillier who got the set up going, in fact Rafa hardly ever gave the youngsters a chance. Rafa, towards the end of his Liverpool career made some baffling decisions. His decision to substitute Gerrard in a derby against Everton because he was too passionate, playing 6'7" Peter Crouch on the left wing instead of his natural striker position and then dropping Crouch whenever he hit a good run of goalscoring then eventually selling him, Signing Robbie Keane for £20 million, playing him until he starts scoring then dropping him and eventually selling him after only 6 months. Xabi Alonso being pushed out of the door to sign the average Gareth Barry, a decision which resulted in us getting neither and ending up with an italian we signed for about £17 million, played a couple of games, then shipped out on loan (Aquilani). However, he can get the team playing good football. When he was in his last year of his contract at Liverpool, we played fantastic attacking football, finished 2nd in the league just behind United, and beating the likes of Real Madrid 4-1. Of course once he got his contract, he shipped out our best players, reverted back to the negative one dimensional predictable football, and well, the rest is history. If he has been humbled due to being out of the game, you could be getting a brilliant manager. If not, then he will go down the same route Abramovich is well known for.

When you went behind, many on here said the same as what I said. Ok, to pick up that point, no, you didnt deserve it. All your team did was defend. They offered nothing to the game until you went behind. Then you bombed forward and scored. It was negative from Chelsea all through that game but when you came under pressure you responded. No, you didn't deserve to win, as long as it was 0-0 your team were happy to sit and defend. But when it came to responding, your team responded brilliantly. Bayern also deserved to lose as for all the possession they had, they did sod all with it. Well done Chelsea.

Told you Di Matteo would go defence ! It worked a treat throughout his reign, and his team lineup against us when you lost 4-1 showed to me at least what his intentions were. You didn't deserve to win, but then again, neither did Bayern. And before you jump on my back for that comment, many of you lot agreed when you went behind. BUT you did win it, against all the odds, so well done, Chelsea never stood a chance, but they ended up winning ole big ears. A word on Drogba, I remember when we (Liverpool) played against Marseille and he ripped us apart, then Chelsea signed him. Of all the signings you have made, Drogba was possibly the best. In the final against us, in the final against Bayern, in many games he has played in, I may be betraying the history of your former players, but for me, he will be the one who was a constant pain in our backside. A brilliant player.

When Liverpool won the champions league in 2005 here were the coincidences relating to the year 1981: Prince Charles got married Liverpool crowned European Champions Australia lost the ashes in cricket Pope died Ken and Deirdre got married on Coronation Street. Copy that onto the year 2005 and you cant help but feel, fate is fate, and if its written, well, its written !

Right, this is the spirit. When you support a club, you do exactly that, you support them. You attend games when times are grim, you attend when times are good, you attend because its your duty. And when you cant get tickets, you watch the match on tv in the pub and defend your team against other supporters. Constantly, a fight is existing, your love for your club against everyone else who wants to see your club fall on its backside. But all that matters is the support you give. I have noticed many fans emerge here in the north who support whoever has won the league. Mostly school kids. They want to be popular, they support the in thing, when Chelsea won the league under Mourinho, Chelsea shirts were everywhere ! Don't see them as much now. So many plastic fans who want change when a game is lost, or we don't win a league or indeed a cup. There is no patience at all in today's supporters. But as long as each and every club has the "my club first" supporter, hope isn't lost. The plastics will be weeded out and the loyals rewarded. For every club. And believe me, every club has a majority of plastics.

Lol !, not at all. I know many fans all Chelsea, Man Utd, Everton supporters, and I am in the notion of one fan doesn't summarise the rest. I have been to many games and drank with many other people. Its only in the media the lousy supporters gain the attention. There are many good people who support different teams, but face to face, we will mock, we will take the wee wee, but always its in a good nature.

You lot will be fine. I think you will be defensive, and why not? Its worked so far, you limited Barcelona severely with all the players they have. Di Matteo knows your players, he knows how to create a team ethic, and he knows how to get results. The team he put up against us (Liverpool) shows that he is putting all his eggs in this basket. And he wouldn't do that if he didn't have confidence in what he was working with. The problem wont be the players you have on display, the problem will be, can Bayern break you down? Di Matteo has done his homework no doubt, and I have no doubt you will be more of threat to Bayern than they will be to you. As I witnessed in 2005, anything is possible.

Smug? What have we got to be smug about? We put in a performance which was very good, against a weaker Chelsea team, at home. We are not smug, we are annoyed we turned up to perform in a game that didn't matter but in the game that did matter, we were nowhere to be seen. No, we are not smug, if you played a stronger team then we thrashed you, then yeah we would have some bragging rights, but we all know that wasn't the case at all.

Your kidding right? Ivanovic should have been sent off, that was a clear elbow with intent. Now dont get me wrong, im not here to gloat over this victory, for me its too little too late regarding the season we have had. However, Ivanovich should have gone, just as easily as Shelvey and Suarez for us.

This thing about Torres bottling it is nonsense.He stopped taking pens when he was at Atletico as for some reason he just couldnt score from them, even when he was with us at Liverpool when he was on form he never took penalties. So on that point, its a bit unfair to accuse him of bottling it.

I said this when he left us for Chelsea. What you are getting is one moody get. On form, one brilliant player. At Liverpool he was the center piece. We had one striker, and he was it. All the chances we created went to him, so of course his goal scoring was bound to be better. However, when things started to go against him, injuries, not the number one for Spain, he started to get moody. And it carried on and on. Then of course you lot took him off our hands. His excuses were that Liverpool were going nowhere, and he wanted to win trophies. Now of course, same personal tripe he went through with us, but now inflicted on chelsea. The players are too slow. Maybe this is why he cannot get into the spain setup? Maybe the problem isnt with Liverpool or Chelsea, maybe Torres needs to have a good look at himself and, I dont know, maybe decide if football is the profession he wants? Grow up maybe? Easy tiger, we all suffer dissapointment in different ways, some plead ignorance, others just get angry. For me, im angry. You have signed a player that will make a massive difference to your team.
