  1. Hi Star West Ham home was 84,we won 3-0 & i'm sure Colin Lee had to re-take a pen...we lost 4-2 at Villa,0-0 at Luton was around the same time. Cheers Jim
  2. Hi to all Not sure i've posted in the correct area however i've managed to get a few days off next week & will be visiting my partner on the Isle of Wight & wondered if anybody has 2 tickets for the pompey game..bit of a long shot but thought i'd ask. Very best wishes Jim.

  4. My 1st game was on the 20/12/1980 at home to Orient,we lost 0-1 with Joe Mayo scoring the only goal,the game was on MOTD. It was my mums friend that took me & we sat in the West Stand & my only memory is the shed singing 'going up'...still have the Prog & the scarf i bought that day. My dad then took to me to a handfull of games & at the start of the 83-84 season he bought us both memberships & we only missed 2 games. Best wishes Jim.

  12. Does everybody remember when the players use to come over to the Benches during the warm up to sign autos 83-84 onwards,great days! Got the entire team on a Swansea City prog from a night game..beat them 6-1 Cheers Jim.

Hi CH At one point a few years ago myself & another Oxford Utd mate did think about writing a book about Peter hence our trip to Cirencester in snow as i am told thats where he was laid to rest. A great player & a really nice man i'm told,nice to see his Tracksuits in the museum. Best wishes Jim
  14. Good morning to all Was really nice to see another thread remembering Peter Houseman. Although i never saw the guy play i've seen video's & my eldest brother (big Oxford Utd fan) saw him play the day he died(against Crystal Palace i think) On a trip to Cirensester i tried to find his grave to lay flowers but without luck. Just wanted to share Best wishes Jim.

  16. My oldest one is Stoke City at home in 1965...from 69-70-74-75 i have every prog with the exception of the ECWC final/replay & a few League games with Leeds. I have every prog 82-97 with the exception of a Full Members cup tie with Charlton around 1985 i think, was just a bit of A4 paper folded in half. Kind wishes Jim.

Was asked recently by some of the young members in my office what was the best match i ever saw... & after some consideration it has to be V Newcastle 1984,great game,Nevin on fire,you could see the atmosphere! Loads of others but this one sticks in my mind as if played yesterday. Best wishes Jim.
