  1. Cambridge, was that not the game in 83 where one of their geysers got a lot of bird and was all over the papers. Did we not win 1-0 ? Or am i thinking about the game we won when pop robson scored
  2. sorry Peckham i know we got run on the pitch in 75 at spurs, what was the other one ? And just to add insult to injury, Spurs were at Euston that day as they were playing Stoke and they had loads and they were in every boozer including the one in the station
  3. my last game was in 2003 against the scousers where we gained a champions league place, i remember that the Liverpool fans and Chelsea fans were applauding each other at the end of the game, hard to see that happening now.
  4. re Hateley, he did score some important goals ie against Sheffield Utd and Leeds in the cup and then next season against us in the league for Liverpool he scores two against us and plays a blinder. Also alledegly he was a bit of a comedian
  5. yes spurs was easier in the 80s and 90s. I also remember a game at Birmingham in 75, we went on the special from Euston, there were not many on it and the bulk of what Chelsea were there got run on the pitch. In one of the papers the next day it was "the shed renegades invaded the pitch"
  6. i remember the game at man utd, brilliant support. I think that we would have had the same in 79, we was drawn to play them on a saturday, loads were going up there and it was postponed, so the game was on a wednesday and their were no trains, we went by coach and not many went up. We lost 3-0 ;
  7. there used to be a shop in Camberwell Green that used to specialise in Chelsea kits, it was rare at the time for people to have them, and of course there was always Frank Blunstone sports
  8. i liked it , but why? And did not leeds have the same ?
  9. thats the end we were in, and that was where all there boys were. there were about 50 in the park lane and were at it from start to finish. Same tactic a year later at Arsenal, get in late
  10. bluebeard if you had got in what end would you have gone in ? And did you hang outside the ground for an hour and a half and where?
  11. last appearance in the final of67 and also alan harris, i thought alan harris was solid
  12. what was that cfc logo from 64 to 67
  13. i wish i had been there, ten of us had enough left at the end and went down the cauliflowerin tottenham after for a light ale, bit pissed off by the result and the hiding inside the ground
  14. 1964 65 was brilliant, was that butka ? , and all that adidas turn out now. Worst that minging Chelsea collection rubbish! Did le coq sportif not want us anymore after hysel ? And i thought that the orange and grey thing was quite innovative
  15. graham for baldwin, not sure about that, however he became a cult figure as the song says. 66 67 started off well, but hateley for osgood ? We used to be a footballing side and then we were just lobbing it forward to find hateley, that is where the doc s jugement comes into questoin!
  16. yes, but after that game Chelsea never looked back, there was nothing to fear. And only a year and a bit after the debacle at spurs
  17. the half way line mob were the worst of the lot. You have to put this game into context, for Millwall it was there biggest game ever, they had ab reputation to live upto, the likes of Charlton, Palace were irrelevant and nobody apart from west ham had ever been down he den
  18. there are plenty of her in the strip
  19. i went with some blokes who thought that Millwall would be a walkover as Chelsea would overwhelm them with their numbers, i had to laugh when we got near the ground their eyes were nearly popping out their heads and mouths wide open, they went in the ilderton and the rest of us in the CBL.they got annilated.
  20. and he deserved it. Especially after he scored his 100 and did a lap of honour.
  21. agree, i know a lot of Millwall and dont mind us unless they are playing us. Having said that i went out the thursday night before the game in Bermondsey and got my head kicked in by .....Millwall
  22. if mccreadie had got his motor it would not made a lot of difference as i think those players were over hyped, as for Glenn it was unbelievable that we were now PASSING the ball out of defence instead of hoofing it out. Under the doc we could not handle the big occasion and some of the tactics ie 67 final, and to much reliance on one player in 66 67
  23. i remember down in Bermondsey there was a huge bit of graffiti and it said..... It was just a dream you chelsea c...s! referring to Chelsea's visit , i thought we did quite well. I know a few that stood in the ilderton road end and got mullered. Nice story old guard!
  24. mark falco 200 minutes, he was booed everytime he got the ball and never looked like scoring, even Fleck was better oh and he was loaned from Spurs, ed was brilliant at first and then you used to be wary when the ball was in the box, in short he lost it !
