  1. Look, I'm a moaner about refs at the best of times, but you have to admit you were fortunate to say the least in the Villa game. Ivanovich could have been sent off twice and Terry should be playing GAA. Anyway, I wasn't claiming form as such. I was replying to someone saying Chelsea were the team with momentum rather than us which imo isn't the case.
  2. If I was picking the team it would be DDG Fabio - Vidic - Rio - Raf Ando - Carrick Zaha - Kagawa - Rooney RVP I just think Moyes will go for the old head of Giggs to try to manage the game rather than Kagawa who tbf hasn't played much since he came back.
  3. There's loads of dicks on every football forum. Sure redcafe has plenty and I've been accused more than once on there of being one!! I just don't sense any arrogance from any reasonable United fan for this game given the record that one of your Chelsea mates just posted on the caf that Jose has against us.
  4. TBH I think if anyone has momentum here it's United. We won the Charity Shield and then were ruthlessly effective away to Swansea who are not a bad side. I though it was a typical Jose win over Hull and was impressed by that but the Villa game was a disaster for Chelsea and they were saved only by the ref. I get they have 6 points on the board but lets be straight a win against Hull and a poxed win against Villa isn't all that.
  5. I see twitter is awash with Rooney to start rumours but I just can't see it happening dude. If the roles were reversed would you want to start a player that was causing trouble and wants to go to the team you are playing??
  6. Man, I'd snap your hand off for a draw. I do feel it'll either be a draw or a narrow United win given the form of both sides at this early stage but it could easily go either way.
  7. So did you all enjoy City getting well and truly f**ked over in Wales? Was free fun for all IMO! More of that please football.
  8. Erm, most have it either as a draw or a narrow United win. Not sure where the arrogance about tonight's game is being shown.
  9. I'm going for United to start with DDG Jones - Rio - Vidic - Evra Clev - Carrick Valencia - Giggs - Weleck RVP Incredibly tough game for United. I would happily take a draw right now and I suspect both sets of fans would before the game. Anderson, Kagawa and Rooney off the bench or possibly Rooney starting behind RVP if Moyes is feeling brave. This game will give us a real indication of where both teams are because TBH I don't think the Hull game told us anything about you and the Villa game was terrible. We stuffed Swansea playing our normal away from home 'sit back, absorb and break' football that can be hard to watch at times but is really effective. Hope Atkinson has some manners but at least it's not at Stamford Bridge so we have a chance of getting the odd decision. I'll go for 2-1 United with goals from RVP, Evra and one from Hazard to wind us up.
  10. Cheers mate. I post heavily elsewhere so I'm time restricted but I'll try to pop in more often to share my words of wisdom! We'll not sell Rooney to Chelsea. It would be utter madness as we'd be handing them the title. Rooney playing up top with a team that can create as much as they can would be frightening, add to that the extra work he always gives then it just doesn't make sense. At the moment he's worth more to us by not playing for Chelsea than playing for United if that makes sense.
  11. United fan here so I'm taking this as a general stadium question, but without a doubt I'd stand. Terraces are way better than the stands for atmosphere anyway and if done properly it's much safer than the current situation with people standing between the seats.
  12. Anyway, I just came back here to post in the Mourinho thread and to wish you the best of luck in the new season in your battle with City for second place. I must pop in more often, a memer three years and only 60 odd posts. I thought I was banned for a while actually for being a plastic manc c**t but it seems I had just forgotten my password.
  13. Buttner is pretty bad at defending which I think is an important part of being a full back sometimes forgotten. Fabio on the other hand should provide plenty of cover for the excellent Evra who has been resurgent ever since the Suarez affair. 12m is loads for Baines. I'm a huge Fellaini fan though and I think we should pay more for him and between 20-25m would be a fair price, and I think that's likely where business will be done.
  14. As I said, you can't show that much emotion in football. I'm sure he would love to see Everton do well but his only priority is getting the best deals for Untied. Coentrao was 6 years younger than Baines is, but I wouldn't use Real as a barometer for accurate transfer fees anyway. Also, IMO 30m is probably a fair enough price for Rooney, but not from you. 30m to hand what I and most United fans consider to be our biggest premier league rival the title in all likeliness is not realistic. That's a lot more than just about the individual player though, so if PSG were to offer 30m for him he'd be gone. It's similar to RvP, you just shouldn't do that as a title challenger. So many times it's been done and so often it bites the selling club in the ass.
  15. You could be right. You lot had two games this week and picking Chelsea players has always been tough because of the rotation. I also had Luiz and Hazard so only 2 starters. Still wouldn't be surprised if he scored a load against the weaker sides. Just needs to find his confidence.
  16. It's a buyers market unlike most transfers this summer. There's no other clubs in for Fellaini, He had a 23m clause that no club triggered so he's clearly not valued at that. So if you put him in the 20m bracket do you honestly think that an almost 29 year old fullback is worth the other 20m?
  17. I put him in my fantasy team this year as my second striker. The thought process was that he would score 20 league goals and create a f**k load more. I think he's going to have a good season.
  18. And? He's not Everton manager now so he is and should be doing what's best for United not Everton. Also, 12m is a pretty fair price for a full back of his age with limited European and international experience. As for Fellaini, I think we will go a few million higher as it's clearly an opening offer but he's only realistically worth about the 20m. 31/32m and these deals will both be done. Everton are looking to sell and want to put pressure on us to get the business done quick to give them a little time to reinvest in new players. We're lowballing a little to put pressure on them. Nothing out of the ordinary in this and it's certainly not insulting offers.
  19. How he's not bought Begovic yet astounds me. Superb keeper and would improve them by 6-9 points over a season.
  20. I'll give you lot this, you have the perfect manager for your club at the helm although you should never have lost him in the first place. Club and manager are a perfect fit and it's why I never wanted him at United. Expect him to make a huge impact this season and as such it should be an amazing title fight hopefully going three ways.
  21. Delighted with the start to the season under Moyes. Two games in and two wins (OK one a glorified friendly), the team clicked into action after a shaky few minutes at Swansea but they're no mugs either. Anyone who thinks that was us playing sh*te doesn't know a lot, we have for years set up like that away from home and have reaped the rewards of being the best counter attacking team in the world. Good wins for your lot, play like the clappers, get a two goal lead and revert to second gear is all Jose and exactly what was expected with 3 games in short succession. Glad to see him back, I think Moyes with us and Jose to you is exactly how it should be. Liverpool out of the blocks well, although lucky as f**k not to do their normal trick for the past 4-5 seasons and draw from a winning position. Arsenal are f**ked unless they sign 5-6 good players this week (should sign Cabaye and Begovic). Apart from that I think the football was generally very good this weekend, competitive games, good goals and United top of the League. Normal service restored. ;)
  22. Ill have a wee look and come back to you on it Moi. I hope its nice, cos im depending on you at this stage!
  23. Im from Ireland. Or West Manchester as we call it!!
