I have a cunning plan.
At ballacks age, past history of ankle injuries it was time for him to go. Yes he had some great goals but his age and injuries were against him in the long run. He had played his part for CFC. I don't feel he was that dominating of presence in the midfield anymore. I agree with other posters here that injuries played a major role (Ray Wilkins leaving also was a catalyst for the down turn) in CFC performance but guys we came in second, I know it is hard to swallow after first place last year but still.....! Also I love Drogba brilliant player but moody. if he doesn't like the manager then my feeling is he will not only stop playing but he would be poison in the dressing room. Time for him to go to France. You don't need players like that, Finally get a manager ( Hiddink) stay with him for at least 3 years and let the team evolve. Okay I will shut my mouth now and back to ice hockey. Al

I hear yah but it was time for ballack to go. I was also sad to see Joe cole go but really has he done anything at Liverpool, Granted this season has had it share of cock ups something I think Guus will help to minimize next season. Al

Now you see Mad Mac I posted the above and your post was to the effect that you had now moved across the border to Washington right after it so I figured you where having me along ........ I hope I have not scarred you emotionally for life.(I'd put in smiley here but can't figure out how to do it on this iPod touch Thingy) Hearts Is a good choice finished 3rd. Dare I say it they are a team with heart. (Gee that sounded lame but you get my drift.) Al

I coached my daughters team. Young teenage girls lowest division some just joined when they were 16 and decided to play. So no real skills but they seem to have blast. They won only 2 games in the season (obviously Chelsea will not be calling me as manager) but these Girls kept coming to practice. They really were more interested in hanging out with each other and socializing. They played hard but at the end of the game everyone was always smiles. I figured it was better for them to come to practice and play then hang out in front of the local 7-11 all night. But you are right MLS has long way to go.And Canada really has no farm system for football.

Well we have grown a bit since then. Seems everyone wants to retire here although the weather here can really suck. I guess anything is better than snow. Your constantly under threat of being run over by mature individuals on electric side walk scooters. :D I figure we had made it to the big time when Billy Connelly came and did a show here. Oh yeah we also had the U21 WC FIFA group stages in Victoria a few years back. New arena, yeah we're slowly moving up. The Canucks will take it for sure.

Yeah I can't get into The Whitecaps. Don't know why. I guess I have a hard time following a league with team names like Real Salt Lake city. Just doesn't sound right! I hope they do better than they are. As long as they beat Toronto. Not sure about the ruling. Al

Yup we're all pretty stoked about the Canucks. Luongo really found his groove in the last game. I'm hoping they end up playing Boston not because I prefer one over the other because the Canucks have an advantage ( they have the speed advantage anyway on both team) but because I have a nostalgia for Boston, it being one of the original six NHL teams. As for Winnepeg. I think it is a done deal. They just have to officially put the pen to the paper. Wow great to hear from all of you Chelsea fans in Canada. Oh and of course our lonely Arsenal (anyone but Man U) fan in Washington. :)

Yeah I thought I felt a stirring in the dark side of the force. Have to say though I watched Chelsea play the Sounders a couple of years down in Seattle. Great city. Al

What changes would you like for next year? (merged)
Good squad. Isn't Drogba leaving turkey or France? Al

Sweet, now we can all get together and open up a can o' whoop ass on all the man u fans here in bc. Like there is sh@t load of 'em around. I guess it is just fashionable to cheer for Man U. I also know an Arsenal fan. he is very lonely and depressed. Al

Gustavo Poyet
I love Drogba. He still has couple of good years left. The time to sell is soon while he still fit and they can get a good price for him. I would hate to see him go but renewing the team is important and Chelsea has enough strikers right now. Al

Underrated Movie Sequels
I also agree that number 2 was best. I thinks the pred v alien thing could be better executed if there was more development to the history of their conflict. I Always wanted to know where the aliens originally came from. Also in the most recent pred movie there was the introduction of some kind of civil war between the preds. Could make an interest plot for another movie. Frankly I get tired of the hack 'n slash with no plot.

Been following Chelsea for awhile. The guys I hang with are Manu and Araenal fans so I kinda felt there needed to be some balance. Looks like a bit of soap opera right now at Chelsea. Hopefully they will get their sh@t together. I guess right now I'll have to make due with the Canucks kicking San jose ass!

He's gone
Okay I'm new to this forum and I'm a fan in Canada. I'm just wondering that the way Chelsea is going through managers many of the top managers are going to be gun shy. I personally don't see Guus returning. He's too smart and knows Roman is too fickle. If he came he would certainly need some kind of commitment that he will be allowed to build a team over the long term.Chelsea needs some continuity. Just my 2 cents. Al
