Frankly I' m gobsmacked at his appointment. A colleague at work that is a Liverpool fan emailed me the news. I don't know what to think. Roman is the owner so he calls the shots. I wondered about Robbie's future in particular as it took such a long time for the decision to be made about his appointment following his success in the champions league. Crap Chelsea fc is such a circus. I will take a wait and see attitude. I have no love for Rafa but.....

First off fantastic day today flew in to London from Vancouver and immediately went to the Bridge to take the tour. Sweet!!!! I will support the Dutch side. My heritage is Dutch so for me that is a no brainer. I really hope they take it all. They are in a very tough group so I will keep my fingers crossed. I will of course support Chelsea players but otherwise "Hup Holland Hup"

Have to agree with Bumstead. AVB deserves another season. Many have said it CFC is going thru a period of renewal. Regardless of what happens in the transfer window. Adding one or two players is not going to change much unless the mind set and culture of the team changes. The changes AVB is trying to make are massive. He needs more time. Although I wonder if he has the ability to Impose his will. Unfortunately as Chelsea struggles there will be pressure to go back to previous styles of play. I don't expect Chelsea to finish higher than 4th hopefully not lower. But I hope they learn and gel as a team with some falling by the wayside while new blood comes in. The season is not over but I think the writing is on the wall with regards to title aspirations. Al

Looking at the posts many say the same thing as to who needs to go or stay. I do think that we need to have some journeyman players that have some history with the club. We need someone similar to a Giggs or Scholes that will be on the bench but can come in at the 70 minute if needed. Someone that will stabilize the dressing room, help along younger players so to speak. I thinks if Lampard would be realistic about his abilities and would really like to stay with Chelsea, this is maybe a role he could take on. Just a thought. Al

I agree that Drogba is good player but while he is still fit now it would be a good time to move him. How much do you think he is worth? 15-20 mil? There may well be some good young talent out there. Also I think he may well be a bit moody and is not always up for a game. I guess we do need him though as I think Torres is done. I don't see him getting his pre injury form back. Yup we lost. Boston was better.The goalie (Thomas ) was the main factor for their win. Our goalie Luongo was at best mediocre. Its hard to see him in a Canucks jersy next season. The Sedin sisters( Sedin brothers) didn't even really show up foor the game. Unfortunately the rioting in Vancouver made it look worse, like we were spoiled sports. Generally Canadians are quite calm, this looked like the FA cup quarter finals at the Den 1978. Sad really.

That is actually a smart way of doing things.May be what could happen is that English PL teams form some kind of connection (financial) with a league 1 or 2 team that is similar to the farm system used in ice hockey. Players can be called up from the farm team when needed to replace injured players etc Al

I think the manager plays apart but I don't think you can lay the down turn at Carlos feet. I personally think that the firing of Ray played a major role. It created sense of unrest and distrust in the team that undermined Carlos authority, and this was reflected on their play. Maybe some thought that Ray was just coasting and doing nothing but I feel he was always the one consistent member of the coaching staff that the players could look to for stability during the frequent manager changes. The way he left mind f&@ked the team! I liked Carlo thought he could have stayed on but I think the kind of mind games Roman plays screwed him and he was happy to go. Al

Yeah I kinda remember the alien pilot of the ship they found the eggs in looked nothing like the preds bit the interior looked similar. I agree it was one of the best sci fi horror flics of all time. Al
