Posted February 13, 201213 yr Comes out in less than a month, and the demo for it comes out tomorrow (unless you had a code to get it in advance). I can't wait, just pre-ordered it off of Amazon.
February 13, 201213 yr Really looking forward to this game, bloody valentines day getting in the way of being able to play the demo...
February 15, 201213 yr Author Just played through half the demo. The first part of the demo is what I assume the first mission of the game. For more information on why you are where you are, you need to be aware of the Arrival DLC for ME2, which I just played the other night for the first time. Once I got to the 2nd part of the demo, in which you are fast-forwarded to a random mission somewhere in the middle of the game with some of your old squad, I quit. No need to spoil anything. Game was fun, although it will take a couple hours to get used to the new interface. Just a lot of small changes that seem weird right now because I just played through ME2 again and these are a little different. I guess the overall squad size for this game is going to be closer to ME1 than 2, which is a slight disappointment. Seeing as I never could play ME1, I really don't have that much of an attachment to any of them (bar Garrus and Tali). Also, since this game is supposed to be epic, I was hoping for a Normandy full of all the surviving squad members from 1 and 2, along with plenty of side missions for all. What was the point of saving everyone on my last playthrough if I can't use any of them this go around (my Paragon save lost Thane in the suicide mission...I thought he'd be good at crawling through a ventilation shaft!). Oh well, still pretty excited about this game, already pre-ordered it off Amazon with release day delivery.
February 16, 201213 yr just to clarify, the game naturally can be purchased in a physical format, but it still will need origin to activate it.
February 16, 201213 yr Even the PC version? I don't really know anything about EA, I don't have many of their games.
February 22, 201213 yr I downloaded the demo for it on my 360 and while I've pre-ordered it, I didn't think the gameplay ran quite as smoothly as the previous mass effect games. Still buzzing for it though!
March 3, 201213 yr Also it seems Game aren't stocking it, maybe it's just up here, but they cancelled my order and never sent me an email or anything, just aswell my mate told me they weren't stocking it. I'm really annoyed because I would of ended up not having the game, but I've ordered it from play, last time I use game. Does anybody know why they're not stocking it? My friend seems to think it's all EA games from now on? If that's true, surely must be EAs decision as it seems bad for business. Just done a little digging and found out Game are set to lose about 2.5m from not stocking this title alone. Also from SSX onwards game won't be stocking EA games at all... as they can't afford to pay EA to stock them. http://www.gamingunion.net/news/not-stocking-mass-effect-3-could-cost-game-up-to-25m-in-profit--7853.html Never thought I'd see the day Game were struggling. March 3, 201213 yr Got the demo for both my pc and xbox and what a difference, PC runs it so smooth and I have over 100 fps while the Xbox, like previous ME feels slow and FPS drops when it gets a little bit crazy

March 5, 201213 yr ORIGIN = spyware. Do not buy this unless you want EA having full access and rights to monitor everything on your computer.
March 5, 201213 yr ORIGIN = spyware. Do not buy this unless you want EA having full access and rights to monitor everything on your computer. Ive got an xbox so no problems there.
March 5, 201213 yr ORIGIN = spyware. Do not buy this unless you want EA having full access and rights to monitor everything on your computer. Yeah, Origin is horrible. I can't believe how much of a bloatware program it is.
March 5, 201213 yr Ive got an xbox so no problems there. I don't believe you've yet accepted my friend request on the xbox. It makes me sad.
March 5, 201213 yr I don't believe you've yet accepted my friend request on the xbox. It makes me sad. Have I not? I havent been on it for a couple of weeks to be fair, I`ll check online now and accept it.

March 5, 201213 yr So if I buy the PC version is this origin thing mandatory? And what is the point of it? I already use Steam, can I not buy through that?
March 6, 201213 yr So if I buy the PC version is this origin thing mandatory? And what is the point of it? I already use Steam, can I not buy through that? Because Origin is EA's version of Steam and EA are money hungry.
March 6, 201213 yr You can buy the game but install a cracked version. f**k EA, you should be free of limitations, spyware and bloatware if you paid the hefty price for a game.
March 6, 201213 yr Not really bothered about Origins spyware or whatever people claim that it contains
