I hate to be that person but I’ve seen a lot of it on social media since last night, if you can’t see how that was a good centre forward performance - you’re probably not very good at judging football games.
He led the line brilliantly, physically matched their defenders, held the ball up and brought others into play, stretched them in behind as well. It was the small touches when holding the ball up that I didn’t expect him to have. I think he’s going to be a very good striker from us.

Was a cracking game as well, hope he can get them promoted this year. Terrific weekend for Coventry, buying their stadium and getting their biggest ever home win at it within a matter of days, their supporters must be delighted!

From the highlights video the club released from today, more low lights than high really but, the Chelsea commentator said of the free kick "no keeper in the world saves that".
Err pretty sure most competent keepers save that, it was right at him!

Jackson has missed some sitters for us, I also don’t think he has the close control that Delap. Jackson isn’t a terrible player either IMO. I just don’t think he’s a starter for a league challenger as his all round game isn’t of the level to hide his lack of clinical finishing.

That’s a really strange sub, Delap was leading the line exceptionally well.

I love Delap, reminds me of a good old fashioned centre forward. Holds the ball up and brings others into play, willing to run in behind, can drop deep - very impressive striker, hope he bags a boatload this year!

Good results got the job done! One of the weaker sides we’ll play this season IMO but you can only beat what’s in front of you. We still look a bit shaky at the back but there will have been a bit of complacency in that with a 5-1 lead as well.
