Rangers at the Bridge - pre-season?
Lots of Blues fans here. Many ex pats and plenty of new US fans. Two years ago we sold out Baltimore, Dallas, Seattle, LA. Cant wait for the Miami game. 100% humidity and 90+ degrees! And I'll wager CIA (Chelsea in America) are the largest International affiliated fan club.

Chelsea fans in 1976
Love it! I was at that game. In the West benches with my dad.

Terrace Taunts
We'll See You All Outside..... Your going home in a fcuking ambulance... Hit him on the head with a Baseball bat... Oh yeah! We are The Shed, We Are, We Are, We Are The Shed...

best and worst Chelsea kits
And Millets! I remember my mum getting me the away kit with the CFC script badge she had to sew on. Unfortunately the CFC was white on blue! Looked odd on a yellow shirt!

Where did you use to stand?
Usually, as far away from the Hounslow mob as possible! They would love to chase the Whitton mob (mob! all 4 of us) all over The Shed!

Summer Tour
I understand all you midwesterners wanting Chicago. But the 'Fire' stadium is in the middle of bleedin' nowhere! I remember the MLS all stars game a few years ago. There was a good turnout of Chelsea fans, but not a pub within 2-3 miles! Now Baltimore on the other hand. We had a great time there. I did hear a rumor of the MLS all-star game being played in Philly. But their stadium is in the middle of a big industrial area. Miles and miles from downtown.

scariest ground
Great thread. I wasn't an away fan, but I do remember the Clock End at Arse. Packed in like sardines! And QPRhahahaha back in the 70s. Packed so tight you couldn't move! We'd see more trouble on the tube trying to get home. I remember Derby at The Bridge back in the late 70s. I was on Putney station waiting for the train to Whitton and around 10 Derby fans were there. God knows why! I soon found out through. They had been chased everywhere and along came the North Stand Boys on the platform chasing them somewhere else! Bad day for Derby!

Tea bar
My Dad would take me in the early 70s and we'd sit in the West Stand. Later I'd venture into The Shed. Usually we'd be in the West Side of The Shed. With the rest of the Whitton mob! (Mob? LOL) All six of us! But my best memories are the West Stand benches with Dad. Train to Putney. Short walk round the corner, and the tube to Fulham Broadway. Good days!

Frank Lampard Testimonial
Ok... I love Frankie. Chelsea Legend. But a testimonial? Like, he needs the money? Or will the money go to a charity? I'll go with that.

Chelsea Should Wear Royal Blue!
Wont happen. Why? Because one or two people might just have that shirt in their closet, and thats two lost sales. No, it'll be a new kit again! With a third kit thats worn once at a CL game. Just love the corporate mind set!

Summer Tour
The 'Chelsea in America' fan club will be sorting out tickets. Last time we had 'an end' at all the games. And what a hoot it was! A mix of old ex pat Chelsea fans, traveling British fans, and new American fans. Lots of flags, songs, and usually a pub or two reserved for us. We filled all the stadiums. Including that massive indoor monstrosity in Dallas. Where Frankie and JT were reprimanded for trying to hit the giant TV screen with a ball during the pre match warm up. A game against the scousers... cool! Cant wait! Better not park my car near the stadium though. Want to keep my hub caps!

Manchester United vs Chelsea (PL) 18/09/11 16:00 KO
This game means nothing. It's the game we had to get over with, and we did. So now we build. AVB was ballsey today. Subbing Lamps was the right thing to do. Next he needs to work on a replacements for JT and NA. Keep Torres in the starting eleven. He's part of our future. The next few games should be confidence builders. Manure can't sustain their run. sh*tty are already showing flaws. Belive! And KTBFFH

Now there's a man in touch with his feminine side! Admitting he has a knowledge of Showtunes! Hello Dolly!

Chants of old
I know of Chelsea fans from 'back in the day' that still deny that this was ever sung! But I remember the whole shed singing this... WALK ON *clap*clap* WALK ON *clap*clap* WITH HOPE *clap*clap* IN YOUR HEARTS *clap*clap* AND YOU'LL NE... *clap*clap* ...VER WALK *clap*clap* ALONE *clap*clap*...etc Really! Back in the days of red white and green scarves.

Old/rare/classic kit
Wow! I love that you have all the different patches and the cup final shirts. My only odd one is the 03/05 away. The one thats white with blue and black bars down the front. I have that with no sponser. Again... Thanks for posting. Fantastic collection.
