1. Jose has won a domestic title everywhere and is on course of defeating possibly the best team of all time. I believe barca are the only team which has prevented him from winning a title as of how many years? 5? 10? The man is the very best, and I don't think there will be many best ever teams to come. Yes it certainly does not guarantee a cup every year for city if he would go there, but with the massive resources + his past record I wouldn't bet against it 2. Let's be honest how likely is it that Avb will replicate Barcelona gameplay/tactics & why would we want to be some imitation of a boring team anyway? We don't have the youth setup of barca and we will spend another billion before we come close to being like them 3. Sometimes people grow and learn. Just because I did something X years ago doesn't mean I would do the same today. I hope roman has recognized that Mourinho should be given complete freedom; it's not too much to ask tbh, and surely after our unwise spending roman will be far more intelligent with his choices Mou has already won everything, he might want to settle down and build a legacy. Forget FFP mate. We already massively f'd up during the past year. There is absolutely no indication that Avb is a) a better team builder or b) he can build teams on a shoestring budget In fact, mourinho is the far better team builder imho We spent massive amounts of money on Torres, Avb, ancelotti and co payoffs, Luiz, lukaku, money wasted everywhere (obviously to a smaller extent in some, more in others). To get mourinho over someone like Cavani (50m) or Hazard (40m) is surely the far more reliable option, and we plan on getting these marquee players in the summer anyway By the way, are there not many holes in FFP? Do city not have a 200m stadium deal that covers their spending & they can just renew it every year as the company belongs to the sheikhs relative? And Liverpool have gotten a 90m sponsorship deal from an American sports company which is surely related distantly to their owner.

I just wonder if Torres is playing on instructions from avb or doing things on his own. Avb mentioned something about being very flexible and open minded, encouraged players to make their own decisions. Or at least I saw this somewhere. In either case Torres is doing wrong things IMO His workrate is very good, i even saw him dropping to our own box when defending on the break various times, but surely he needs to stay in the box more frequently rather than helping out the midfield/defense He's also the complete opposite of sturridge, so very unselfish to the point where it's wrong, instead of doingthe proper thing and shooting, he frequently opts to set up a team mate instead

How would it be a win win for any of us. If City get Mourinho no other English team will ever see a domestic trophy for years as long as mou is there. God forbid if he should stay there for a long time, city will simply win everything and we will win nothing - perhaps the odd carling cup or something. I honestly don't care at all for the success of city, I don't care about united nightmares about their neighbors. Jose is simply the very best. It's unbelievable how people take managers for granted IMO. Yes, he has worked with a lot of finances post porto, but it always paid off, and to be honest nearly every top team other than arsenal has spend an incredible amount of money. You need to have good sense of spending which Jose certainly has, just compare the expensive signings he makes -which have an impact and are fully world class- with the ones we did (Torres, Luiz, lukaku, Avb), or KKKenny (downing, Carroll, henderson) and even to a lesser extent city and united. In a way, the AVB- Mourinho choice can be seen as having Lionel Messi offered to you for say... 40m and Eden Hazard also offered for 40m. I have no idea why people on this board are "choosing" the Hazard option. He just isn't as good and even though he has massive potential he will never be as good as Messi. It's that way with Mourinho and AvB I feel. If, and if mourinho is really leaving Madrid this summer, we must do everything, roman must beg him, we must at most prevent him from joining another premier league top six. Promise him gold mountains/complete control and hope that he "forgives" us (or rather, roman). I think we might have a chance of persuading him, because I feel we have that special bond between the fans and the manager, and possibly he might love the challenge of winning a European cup here. The only way we should sack AVB is if Mourinho is available OR he fails his job completely, and I am talking about 8-10th place. At the moment I still trust in Avb despite the shockingly terrible performances but we have to get what's best for our club and Mourinho is the very best, he is also far less expensive in terms of transfer fees than superstar players who done the square root of f all and command 50m fees Sorry about the rant, I just find it unbelievable that people are even debating over getting the very best person in football; and yes, I signed up purely for this post but hopefully will post more from now on rather than just lurking
