Sturridge to Arsenal?
http://www.guardian....-redirect=false http://www.dailymail...-Sturridge.html Apparently Arsenal interested in Sturridge & he might consider leaving if he isn't given the striker role. I personally say it's a non-story. As Sturridge is an above average England player, his value automatically goes up 2 or 3 times and I can't see Wenger paying 23-30m for anyone.

Sturridge
I don't like it. There is no Mata and I don't see Ramires being successfull as a winger.

AVB - who's behind him?
3rd is a bit harsh and I don't think anybody here expects us to finish above spurs However fourth is a must and it will be absolutely unforgivable if we lose out given the mediocrity of Arsenal/Liverpool

How original. Yes, Malouda was very good at one point of his Chelsea career but not anymore. He's a liability. And how can I possibly work up a solution? I don't even manage the team and hadnt had TWO transfer windows to sort it out.

Malouda is utter crap what are you on about?

Gary Cahill *UPDATED* *Now Signed*
He was decent, i thought Ivanovic had to cover for him quite a few times, and he completely lost Hernandez for the equalizer. His challenge on Welbeck was in my opinion a red card but not a penalty as I saw him being the last man but outside the box which is partly why I'm not too bothered about Uniteds ridiculous second penalty.

Romeu.

Sturridge
Even Messi has negatives. It's about what he does well vs what he does wrong and to me he has been a very good player for us.

Terry - Allegation/Captaincy (merged)
Dear lord the DM is having an absolute nightmare with any Terry related news.

Ask one question
"Do you regret firing Mourinho?"

AVB - who's behind him?
As a certain someone once said in his interview: "Says you, no?" :P

AVB - who's behind him?
"They don't share my opinion therefore they are wrong." Isn't this what you meant to say?
-
Sturridge
Of course I do. It's just that his runs, goal record and ability to walk past the fullback far outweighs his inability to pass/track back.

Why are all good Dutch players so injury prone :/
-
Sturridge
Sturridge is "hurting" Chelsea - absolute lol I can think of at least a dozen other players that have performed worse and cost us more points Yes, scoring many goals and having brilliant flashes in many big games really hurts us.

AVB - who's behind him?
I have to say I wouldn't. He's dug his own grave, we have lost MANY points due to his tactical ineptitutde and poor substitutions.
-
Our next captain?
Personally I'd go with Ivanovic, Cech, Essien, Luiz or Mata.

AVB - who's behind him?
That's almost 200m worth of transfers and I'm not sure I would trust someone of unknown caliber to build my team, especially if we miss on the CL. Some of those I particularly don't want at all, like WDV who is a carbon copy of the current Bosingwa. If AVB manages to get himself sacked he will probably be the most successful con artist I have ever seen.

Some points: -what places we finished in before Roman is irrelevant. We are a top club now with massive ambitions and cannot afford to miss the Champions League -is continuity for the sake of continuity really a successful model? We are placing our trust in a nobody with unknown potential whereas we already know that Hiddink, Carlo and Mourinho are great managers. Surely if we wanted longetivity we would/should have gone with one of them? -no doubting that City and spurs have good squads but that's not the problem. The issue is our point difference with the dire/inconsistent/terrible Liverpool & Arsenal. Too close for comfort. To me AVB has till summer to save his job by finishing in the top four. Our squad is more than good enough. I hope Roman thinks the same as we can't afford to give someone so many mistakes to learn from.
- Essien's Return

I'd rather put on Cahill for Essien and move him to CB with Luiz going in midfield than watch Malouda have a MOTM peformance for Everton.

AVB - who's behind him?
we definitely won't finish second IMO, you can quote me on this at the end of the season. Even third would be fantastic right now as we are risking to exit the top four. We haven't even gone to Anfield, Emirates or Etihad yet. Everyone on here wants what's best for our club. Some may just interpret the situation differently than others & it's understandable if they see us sliding down the table if we dont make top four/and AVB makes poor signings.

AVB - who's behind him?
We are not a cannon fodder team mate. We can retain the ball far better than any team in the league at slow tempo it's why we have 60% nearly every game. The problem with that style is that it will never, ever deliver goals without certain types of players but did we really need more goals? And yes obviously he isn't the only one to blame as there are is a number of people who cost us (Webb utterly ridiculous second penalty, Torres misses sitter, Meireles misses good scoring chance, Cahill&Luiz on the last goal not marking Hernandez, Malouda losing the ball with every touch, Ivanovic didn't close down giggs) But the main point is that a manager has to make decisions at various points in the match and his choices were either wrong or non-existent.

I have to say I may turn on AVB if he fails to deliver three points in this game. Massive game for us.

I fear we are becoming like the new Arsenal
Arsenal don't have Wilshere & didn't have a proper left back for ages. We are such a copy of arsenal it's unreal. We are probably the biggest chokers this season, I cannot count how many leads we threw away so far.
