I don't see your point? I never said AVB is responsible for his misses. I am talking about his general play. I assume AVB has gave him instructions to drift wide, because at the moment Torres spends a load of time out there which reduces his chances of scoring (however low they may be) Neither of those. You said Torres should stay in the box and get into good positions rather than being on the wing. I think Torres is following instructions to drift out wide. I'm not sure how much that hampers or helps us however. He isn't getting in the correct positions (in the box) right now and he can't seem to score to save his life.

Lol personal grudge :D I am uncovinced by him - that's true. But I'm not saying we won't finish fourth, just if it happens, and Roman decides to sack AVB, we/he will lose another 20 odd million. Please include such clauses in all future contracts to any managers Roman. Agreed, he seems very talented with buying players. Mata for me is an absolute gem of a player. He is already fast becoming a favorite of mine in the entire team & he's only been here half a year. I'm not too impressed by Meireles tbh, but he does seem to do a decent job in the midfield when Ramires/Lampard are out. As for Romeu, I yet have no idea how exactly good he is (whether his pre-winter form is his true self) - but seems like a great buy for the price.

Also, my biggest concern is that strikers like Falcao, Higuain, Soldado won't function in our system with the type of slow possession football AVB likes to play or with our current squad.

Loads of poor decisions from Roman. I read somewhere that we spent roughly 64m on managers alone in the past four years. We've had so many great managers to lead this team for ages in Carlo, Hiddink and Mourinho. I fear that AVB is of the Grant variety, simply not good enough. We will see at the end of the season. I also reject the notion that AVB is here for a long time. It is widely quoted that he plans to retire early, and he keeps mentioning a 3 year project.. If Madrid or Barcelona open up I think he would leave, that's if they want him of course.

He's getting better no doubt, but I believe he will never be a 50m player nor the one he was at Liverpool. IMO he has lost a bit of pace, and even though he is still very quick it hampers him.

He definitely has his faults! Not huge ones, but I don't think he's as complete as Drogba or Ronaldo. Imagine him going up against this pair in the air. Better player than both for sure though.
