AVB - who's behind him?
Or even 8th, 9th or 10th Can't see where we are going to get points I've slept on it to eliminate thr knee jerk thoughts, but can now confirm that AVB is a sh*te manager.

IF we don't make the top 4 this season...
Under AVB - no Under a good manager - yes Also why are people pointing out Kalou's return like he will save us lol?

Everton v Chelsea (PL) 11/02/12 KO 15:00 GMT
Do people seriously believe our players went from title runners up to 6th place in the space of 6 month? Crap/old/uninterested/insert insult squad is still easily the fourth best in the league.
-
Man City v Chelsea
Our best chance is to kidnap their entire squad so they forfeit. Not sure we could handle the reserves/u21s however...

Chelsea v Birmingham City (FA Cup) 18/02/12 KO 12.30 GMT
How is Cole still being picked?? Bertrand did more in the 6 mins he was on than Cole did the entire game. And Bosingwa/Malouda... I will personally hunt down anyone who mentions them near the first 11. Prediction: 2-0 Chels, ridiculously dull performance scraping the win. Fully expect the casual passing at the back, Bosingwa fckng around on the edge of their penalty box (by making rapid movement with his feet but not actually running, then crossing into the first defender) expecting roughly 75% possession and only one penetrative pass the entire game.

AVB - who's behind him?
Just had a look at the table. It's so depressing based on our recent high standards. Seriously feels like we could end up 8/10th if we continue this.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
Point taken. But surely we should have at the least seen how he performs another year and in the CL before making rash decisions with millions of pounds involved?

MOTM vs Everton
Mata Probably the only player on the pitch who cared. Fckn lovable guy.

AVB - who's behind him?
it must have been really hard to have that winning percentage when you essentially managed one of the two good teams in the entire league.

AVB - who's behind him?
While I completely agree with the principle behind your thinking, there are some issues. For one, AVB ain't no Fergie. He is about as adept in transitioning teams from different phases as Steve Bruce or Mick McCarthy. You cannot just say "you must trust him no matter what" without offering some sort of proof that he has the ability to lead us to a young, winning formula. But I don't blame him for that. My main frustration is at the board and roman, how could they possibly trust someone like him for a job as massive as this? Secondly - how can we possibly rebuild if we have no Champions League football? Why would these expensive marquee youth players come here? For big wages? Forget it! If we lose the CL money how can we possibly pay massive fees?

Everton v Chelsea (PL) 11/02/12 KO 15:00 GMT
I bloody hope so. Mourinho with City resources would pretty much win everything in sight.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
I firmly doubt that we would challenge for the title with Mourinho but we would definitely make the top four this year. Mourinho or AVB working with the current squad? Doesn't sound like it. The AVB apologists want the entire team to be sacked and replaced with Hazards, Cavanis, Lucases of the world. Some on here make it sound like we are skint as Everton :/
-
AVB - who's behind him?
Well, yes I hope we abandon out current transition. Our current transition is from 2nd place definite CL qualification to chugging it in 6th spot against Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool Get fourth at all costs, then bring in Mourinho.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
I hope for either Guus or Capello right now... But not on a long contract. If either of them can inject a 2 months honeymoon period in our side and grab fourth it will be worth it.
-
Is Meireles the worst player...
Malouda even last season was "good" He didn't do much, half arsed half the time But he was effective in getting assists/goals This season he's been utter shambles of a player
-
AVB - who's behind him?
So how many top European squads did he build/add to that led you to this opinion?
-
Transition
When a side progresses from one stage to another, usually involving a new generation of players. My take at least
-
AVB - who's behind him?
Knee jerk? Ffs, did you see our results post new years?? Our two recent wins - Sunderland, where they outplayed us and created far more clear cut chances Qpr- a penalty that never was, inept performance If the ability to motivate players.., kicked him etc.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
Hoping he's sacked after Birmingham Completely tactically inept buffoon Wouldn't know how to motivate people if it kicked him up the arse He makes Avram Grant look like Ferguson
-
AVB - who's behind him?
Forget youth. When Bosingwa, Cole and Malouda are playing day in day out there will be no youth under him.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
"One bad game" :) Jesus you can't be serious. Or maybe it's the first game you watched since the new years???

Everton v Chelsea (PL) 11/02/12 KO 15:00 GMT
Capello is absolutely great, but I would rather wait until the summer to see the situation with Jose rather than handing out 5 year 500k p/w contracts.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
1. Go to two team league 2. Win some irrelevant cups 3. Get hired by rich club 4. Pick Bosingwa at RB 5. ??? 6. Receive massive 20m pay off, you are now set for life.
-
AVB - who's behind him?
While Sunderland have been very good under him, what has O'Neil ever achieved? Are we just being drawn to the same hype AVB had?
-
AVB - who's behind him?
To be fair Spurs have a rather good first 11. I'd take many of their players over ours if I was told to build a team. The problem is our squad quality vs Liverpool/Newcastle/Arsenal who are complete rubbish & yet in front of us in the table.
