Travel to Amsterdam
After last year in Munich which was awesome, just cant stay away even if we dont get tickets. I work in the travel industry and hopefully some of the below will be of use to some of the guys who havent booked yet. Booked my flights from Stanstead to Dusseldorf Weeze which is just over the border from Holland. Tues 14th return Thurs 16th. Ryanair under £100 for two pers. Getting shuttle to Njimegen in Holland 19 euros then there are loads of trains straight to Amsterdam for approx 17 euros each way.Or shuttle to Duisberg or Dusseldorf and get the Ice train straight to Amsterdam approx 38 euros for 2 x pers. Booked a boat hotel right in centre, twin room 46 euros night. Go onto Trivago loads of cheap places still if you just want to get your head down. Other cheap options still up flight wise, Ryanair from Manchester to Brussels Charleloi, Stanstead to Maastricht or Eindhoven. All have bus or decent train connections. Dusseldorf Weeze works out the best value, fly twice a day and most convienient for trains etc. You can even catch the Megabus from Brussels to Amsterdam for not much cash. You can also fly into Cologne or Dusseldorf with Easyjet from Gatwick for under £100 each and catch Ice train straight to Amsterdam non stop in 2 hours or so. All so much cheaper than trying to fly direct into Amsterdam. Hope some of the above helps anyone who was thinking of going. Roll on the 15th gunna be ace.

So how did your trip to Munich go?
Friday 6am at Manchester Airport, on the Stella and chasers. Singapore Airlines to Munich. S-Bahn to East Munich and hotel. Full of blues that arrived on a Thomas Cook flight. Had to wait an hour for the room, so we had a few beers in the garden of an Italian pizzeria. F**cking all got sunburnt lol. Checked in and we made our way straight to Marianplatz and Kilians Irish bar about 1600hrs. Stayed there all evening into early hours as more and more Chelsea turned up. Going for a p*ss was a nightmare as the cisterns had been ripped off the wall. It was an awesome sight, the noise of the singing outside and the scene . Ended up back at the hotel wasted. Saturday, felt horrendous . Checked out as flight was 6am Sunday back to Manchester. (Both flights full of Chelsea) .Went back to airport put bags in luggage holding area. We made our way back to Marianplatz and spent the whole afternoon/evening drinking inside and outside a bar just off the main square. We were the ones who bought a football from the shop opposite and were trying to boot it over the top of the office blocks. The whole street joined in as the ball kept flying around. Surprisingly no-one tried to nick it. Purchased a crate of beer from shop next door to go with our beer outside the bar as it was taking a while to get served. In the bar watching the game it was a 50/50 mix. Bayern all stood by the front screen with Chelsea all stood behind them on the raised tier. When we scored the place went mental and a few Bayern thought it wise to leave lol. Couldnt think it would go any crazier but when we won on penalties it erupted. Bar staff all disappeared, Chelsea behind the bar etc ,tables, chairs etc. Awesome experience. We all spilled outside and just as we went back in to watch the cup be lifted they turned the tv off. They did turn it on again after words but they wouldnt let some of us back in. had to watch it through the window. Celebrated a few hours in Marianplatz before heading to S-bahn and back to airport. Quite a few Bayern at the S-bahn covered in blood and had their faces smashed in , dunno who they came across. Have to agree with earlier posters the Bayern fans were generally really polite and no threat. Although where their kids/shirters got the idea to sing in Chelsea faces " Who the f*ck are Chelsea". One bought a beer for me after that. So funny but not advisable lol. Absolutely knackered and no voice left but what an experience. We are Midlands Chelsea and proud of it. The Northern Chelsea lads from Warrington and Sc**thorpe who spent most of the time with us know who they are. Top lads and thanks for a great time. Lets get on it again next season.

Meeting up in Munich
Last post now before my flight tomorrow morning. Absolutely buzzing. See some of you lot around Kilians Friday afternoon. Anyone seen the article in The Sun newspaper. They wanna test themselves against the notorious Headhunters. " Nazi thugs plot Chelsea ambush.Skinheads gearing up for brutal battle at Champs League final." Laughed my head off this morning. Been to Germany many times. They may have a few idiots around but nothing to concern us. Come on CHELSEA Yeehah.

Meeting up in Munich
Been thinking about this trip most of the day. One week to go for one of the biggest days ever. Just so excited and cant wait. Mikey2004 - Go on Trivago put in 18th May for 1 x night, single room, click on lowest price. You can still get decent hotels from £39 upwards. Some bargain rooms to be had on there. CFC94RS - I went to Cardiff away in 84 when i was a teenager on my own. That was mayhem, but i was well looked after by other Chelsea fans the whole way through. So, i know what its like. We will be in Killians Irish bar Friday afternoon onwards. You're welcome to join us. If you need any contact before let me know.

Meeting up in Munich
Guys, As in an earlier entry me and my mates are def meeting up at Killians Friday afternoon. It will be a good start up point for everyone and then will take if from there. Pack out the area with blue , there will be loads of bars nearby also if it gets too full. Done too many trips in the past aimlessly wandering around cos of " Lets go here, lets go there". We def will NOT be going to that screening in the stadium, much rather watch it in one of the bars.

How are YOU getting to Munich?
Guys, We've going from Manchester morning Fri 18th May returning morning Sun 20th May. Fly straight into Munich. Not sure if any of you have noticed this route already. Its a bargain at the moment. Singapore Airlines fly via Munich on route to Singapore and on the return. £187 each which is a bargain. Get full service with 20 kg baggage on Boeing 777-300er. Got twin room 4* hotel with b&B for £48 in Munich(£24 each) . Not bothering with a room saturday night gonna get on it win or lose . Gonna lose the bags Saturday at the main Munich railway station big luggage deposit lockers there. Couple of euros for 24hrs and access anytime. That Dusseldorf Weeze trip will be a nightmare and will in the end with the train cost loads more and take loads of time. Its an old RAF base in the middle of no-where. Even when we go to Cologne dont use that route. Hope the above helps some of you.
