I got to Lloyds bar about 3ish, sank a few pints, got our evergreen coach just before 5pm.

I took some booze on board hidden in 3 1ltr enery drink bottles(6 cans) i needend have bothered as most of the coach had crates & bags full of beer, so off we set.

The journey was going well until we got to Luxemburg about 03.30am where we stopped off & managed to leave one young lad behind, thankfully he managed to jump on another CFC coach & made it to Munich.

We got dropped off outside the Allianze arena which was a bit hard to take as most of us didnt have tickets talk about rub salt in our wounds, we had a quick look from the outside then went to the CL festival at the Olympic park, we thought it was quite poor for what we expected it to be, there was 1,000s upon 1,000s of Germans there, we tried to look at the staduim itself but couldnt get in there.

We then made our way to Odenslpatz, we found a bar/beer garden where 1,000s of CFC were drinking, it was nire on impossible to get a drink there, some lads had even gone to a shop & bought takeaways it was that bad, we went further in to town but every bar we found was rammed with CFC, most places you had to get a table to have a drink & most tables were already taken, we got so fed up with it we went to the same shop as the other lads but Chelsea fans had snapped up every beer in there & there was nothing left, we finally found a back st bar thanks to a mate of mine who txtd me about it.

We then went back to the beer garden as before where according to the local police, 7,000 Chelsea were getting ready to watch the game, we were a bit disappointed to see they only had two 32inch tvs & 1,000s of blues were struggling to see the game, there was tension in the air between certain groups of CFC, there was some fisticuffs that went off just after Drogba scored, the tvs then went off as tables & chairs got broke in celebrations & violence, there must have been 500 or so of us who all left together in the hunt for another bar, we finally found one with the game on but the doors were locked as there were about 100 Munich fans in there, to their horror they looked round to see 500 CFC all banging on & peering in the windows, it must have looked like something from a zombie film lol more than one German's jaw dropped at the sight of us, just as we got there Cech saved the pen we thought we'd scored again at first but were put straight by some of the lads at the front, the rest is a blur as we finally won the European Cup, i must admit i had this overwheming emotion pore through me from my head to toes & was finished off with a lovely text from my lovely wife & daughter that got me proper teared up & i dropped to my knees with emotion, i've never ever had that feeling before watching my beloved CFC.

We made it back to the coach in time i had one drink & passed out like many others, i woke up about 4am with rain & hairstones coming through an open sun roof, no one cared & didnt shut it, i started boozing again & got right back on it with plenty of lads joining me, the banter on board & our fellow fans made it even more special with no doubt now plenty of us will be mates in yrs to come i just hope we get to meet up from time to time, we got back too late for the parade which was a shame but hey ho, i ended up in the Goose had two pints then went home, i was in bed by 9.30 absolutly shattered.

Overall the trip was excellent but we were disapointed with the coach company evergreen, it was supposed to be a luxery coach but it wasnt, we should have had a rep on board but we didnt, the fact the two drivers left a young lad behind was terrible & they were totally oblivious even though we were shouting at them about it.

We we disapointed with the lack of organisation from the Germans, even the british police who were there said they didnt have a clue where Chelsea fans were supposed to watch the game, it could have been ideal in the local sq if they'd put up a massive screen instead of expecting 7,000 Chelsea to cram round two 32inch tvs!

The German police were excellent even when it went off a few times they didnt over reacte, i'm not sure the Spainish or Italian police would have been so lenient.

So there you have it, we went & came home as European Cup Winners knocking our hated rivals Spurs out of the CL in the process, it doesnt get any better than that!!

Got a flight from Stanstead to Graz at 10:20 on the Friday, then a 4 1/2 hrs drive to Munich. Got to our apartment at about 7.30 then headed straight for Killians to meet a few mates that went other routes. Went to a beergarten at about 9pm ish and had a right laugh. Dennis Wise was there and was superb. That shut at about 12pm and from when we left there we found that loads of bars would let you in if you were English. Ended up in a club until 4am with a few other blues and had a good laugh. Game day we drove straight to Bergkirchen which was about 15mile from Munich Centre, checked in, Had a beer met a couple of other blues who were also staying in the hotel so we all then got on a train into town. Comical train journey as the 8 of us tried to out sing a Carriage (or even a train) full of Bayern Fans, whilst we done the bouncy. Few pints when in town, a bit of banter with the Bayern Fans, then we headed for the Olympicstadion. We was actually going to give that a miss,as we thought we would be the only Chelsea lot in there, but glad we didn't. The atmosphere was unbeleivable (check out public viewing Olympic stadion Munich on youtube) and our tiny Chelsea contingent within the huge away section definately had a good time. When Didiers Goal went in i don't think i have ever gone so mental at a game. The rest as they say is history.

Minor issues though.

1. The away section was massive and would have easily fit in a few thousand. How they didn't notify other Chelsea fans of this was shi*.

2. All the public transport around the ground stopped straight after the game, which meant a 4/5 mile walk back to the centre of Munich. (Weren't too bad for us as we quite enjoyed the banter after winning).

3. Non alcoholic lager in the ground, when it wasn't even a UEFA organised thing.

4. Missed the parade as i didn't get back into London until 6pm.

Anyway, won't moan too much as it was one of the best weekends of my life and don't regret not getting a match ticket one bit.

Flew out from Manc Saturday morning, arrived Munich and went straight to Odenslpatz where we basically stayed for the next 12 hours. Watched it in a bar in the low eastern side which was packed but not as bad as some of the others seemed, not many screens but we got a good view unlike lots of other fans i spoke too. beer was expensive though.Amazing scenes all round on the streets outside at the end. Photos to come. Ended up in a sqaure somewhere in Maximiliananlagen with a few other CFC boys and strangely some Ajax fans (wtf?). No hotel booked and our flight back to Manc (this one was with Singapore Airlines , again wtf?) was at 6am. We then arranged a lift from Manc Airport to Fulham which cost us £200 and i was at Fulham Broadway at 1.30pm! After a KFC I was in the Chelsea Ram at 2:30. To be honest i wish id gone straight home, was so tired and drained and pissed - the view for the parade i had was sh*te. Got on a train home at Marylebone at 6.30 and was in my living room at 8.10 and my fiance had got me a huge steak, bless her. Up at 6 for work in Canary Wharf.

Said on here many times before German trips are the best, mainly because of the Germans themselves. Nothing but decency from every German (and every Bayern fan i met). Munich is a fine City, love to go back on a non footy related trip

Heard there where lots of travel issues on the U-Bahn, hope no one missed the game...

My Saturday saw a 4.45am wake up call from my brother, a short drive to Birmingham airport and a 7am flight to Frankfurt. We then had an hour or so for breakfast at the airport before our train to Stuttgart, then a change for the train to Munich which got in at 3.15pm. Everything went like clockwork, and the trains were superb. Caught up on a bit of sleep, as I knew we wouldn't be going to bed at all that night, whatever the outcome of the game.

We took a couple of small bags that we wanted to put in the lockers at Munich station, but 4000 people had the same idea and there wasn't a single one available. Not ideal, but not the end of the world. I lived and worked in Munich for a year in the mid 80s so I know the place well, and we headed off towards Marienplatz on foot in the fabulous sunny weather. The main squares and streets were absolutely overflowing with fans, 98% Bayern. There was a real carnival atmosphere, but it was obvious we might struggle to find a bar and get served. I felt sure we would if we kept looking, so we walked on through the main square (Marienplatz), which was so packed you could hardly move. We pushed our way through, and once on the east side of the square the crowds had subsided and it was easy to get a drink.

We had a sit-down meal in a place I've eaten in before (quality food and beer and ridiculously cheap for what it was), then wandered around through the backstreets towards the Hofbrauhaus, where we heard our first Chelsea songs in a cafe opposite. We planned on heading to Odeonsplatz which had been designated the meeting-place for Chelsea fans, but I knew there was very little there in the way of bars (as Carshalton Blue found out). Before we got there, we heard really loud Chelsea songs from a pub on the big square by the Residenz, the royal palace. In fact there were two places about 50 yards apart which had been taken over by Chelsea, and where we stayed for a few beers and some non-stop singing. I rang a mate who was having a drink by Karlsplatz near the station, and he could hear the great singing on my phone and decided to make his way over. He never made it, as the underground was so full it took 6 trains before he was able to get on one, and he decided to head off directly to the Allianz.

By now we thought we had to find a place with a TV, so we headed off on foot to a beergarden I knew had big screens, not far from the main station - the Augustiner garden, which is about the biggest in the city. When we got there there was a queue to get in but, with people leaving to get to the stadium there were letting people in in ones and twos, so we did get in. As we got there, we were greeted by a pissed-up Sean Lock (the comedian) falling over on his way out.

The place was absolutely packed, with plenty of screens, but after wandering around we decided that the 99.9% Bayern presence would not make for the best atmosphere from our point of view, so we decided to look for somewhere better. We hopped on a tram for a short ride back to Karlsplatz. Tried to pay but had no coins for the machine, so it was a freebie.

I knew another good sized place not far from Karlsplatz, the Augustiner beer hall, so we went in there to find a group of Chelsea fans and hundreds of Bayern fans. The place had a big screen but the layout - with massive stone columns all over - made it hard to see the TV, so we moved on yet again, and made our way back to the place where we'd had a good sing-song around 5pm ("Zum Franziskaner"). By now it was gone 8pm and we were getting a bit concerned, but we got there to find two screens, and a fantastic atmosphere.

The next 3 and half hours were just incredible. Non-stop singing, the best goal celebration I've experienced since the heyday of the Shed in the 80s, the constant sound of broken glass, and just phenomenal joy unbounded when Drogs' penalty went in. The place went totally beserk and stayed that way for the next hour, with constant singing and some nutters swinging from the cast iron chandeliers. I really thought we were going to have a scene from Only Fools and Horses, with the thing plummeting to the floor and crushing the already smashed glass, not to mention the already smashed fans below. We took a few pictures and some crap-quality video, but the amazing thing is that there was a camera crew in there filming the whole thing. I'm kicking myself for not asking who they were filming it for, as I would just love to see those scenes all over again.

It was impossible to get a drink in there by now as the incredibly hard-working and efficient waitresses had seen enough around the time of our equaliser and got out of there. Who can blame them? I think the lack of unbroken beerglasses might also have been an issue for them. The entrance was now ringed with around 30 police in full riot gear as well, and my brother and I were concerned they might view the joyful celebrations going on inside as hooliganism and go in with all truncheons blazing to clear the place.

So around 11.45 we headed off towards the Hofbrauhaus, past the police cordon, who close-up were actually very relaxed and friendly. Quite a few small bars had Chelsea fans in full voice outside, but we were so hoarse by now we couldn't join in. We went over to Marienplatz where there was more Chelsea singing, plus some retaliatory (but peaceful and good-natured) Bayern chanting, with more riot police standing by. The streets were packed with Bayern fans who were all gutted, but we got nothing but good comments in our direction. One lad had a 6-pack of beers that he had planned to celebrate with, and offered to sell them to me for 5 euros. I've posted on another thread that all the Bayern fans we encountered were fantastic both before, during and after the game. They deserve so much credit for that.

Our train was leaving at 2am, so we walked back to the main station and had a celebratory weissbier with some enormous Italian guys. My Italian isn't great and their English was non-existent, so the conversation went something like "Vialli". "Carlo Cudicini". "Borini". A surprising (from them) "Sam Dalla Bona". "Ambrosetti". "Ambrosio." "Ranieri". "Panucci -he was garbage". Before finishing off with a chorus of "Gianfranco Zola". As we sat there, a Bayern fan donated his Cup Final scarf to my nephew.

The only grim part of the whole trip came when we arrived at the station to find it overflowing with people in the same position as us, needing to catch a train to get out of there. It was like being on the terraces all over again, with people shoving from all directions and zero organisation. The platform itself was packed about 10 deep, and we were in the queue to get on the platform, so it looked impossible that we would make it onto the train we had to get to make or connection to Frankfurt.

Fortunately, German efficiency came good, and they must have added loads of carriages as we did get on the train, and even managed to grab a fold-down seat by on the carriage that must have been a quarter of a mile down the platform. The journey back went as smoothly as the journey there, so top marks all round to German railways and Lufthansa airline. I managed a couple of hours sleep on the way (in between reading as many English and German papers as I could find (most of them complimentary from Lufthansa). Even if your German is non-existent you'll be interested to read the biggest selling German paper Bild (trashy Sun-style tabloid) describe us as 'destruktive Antifussballer'. I reckon they got that line from Uli Hoeness, or possibly Platini. Or Cruyff.

I'm still buzzing from the trip. It was an incredible, unforgettable experience.

the only negative was that every pub, bar, beergarden etc. was full of bayern fans so it was nearly impossible to buy beer. We finally found chelsea boys on this square near killians irish pub, had few pints there and at 6pm we went to Backstage beergarden, 5miles from Marienplatz and when we arrived we almost pissed ourselves. There were around 5000 germans and 40 of us and the reception when we came in wasn't as pleasant as on Marienplatz( where it was really friendly atmosphere). But okay it was superb afterall. The best day of my life without a doubt :)

Friday 6am at Manchester Airport, on the Stella and chasers. Singapore Airlines to Munich. S-Bahn to East Munich and hotel. Full of blues that arrived on a Thomas Cook flight. Had to wait an hour for the room, so we had a few beers in the garden of an Italian pizzeria. F**cking all got sunburnt lol. Checked in and we made our way straight to Marianplatz and Kilians Irish bar about 1600hrs. Stayed there all evening into early hours as more and more Chelsea turned up. Going for a p*ss was a nightmare as the cisterns had been ripped off the wall. It was an awesome sight, the noise of the singing outside and the scene . Ended up back at the hotel wasted.

Saturday, felt horrendous . Checked out as flight was 6am Sunday back to Manchester. (Both flights full of Chelsea) .Went back to airport put bags in luggage holding area. We made our way back to Marianplatz and spent the whole afternoon/evening drinking inside and outside a bar just off the main square. We were the ones who bought a football from the shop opposite and were trying to boot it over the top of the office blocks. The whole street joined in as the ball kept flying around. Surprisingly no-one tried to nick it. Purchased a crate of beer from shop next door to go with our beer outside the bar as it was taking a while to get served. In the bar watching the game it was a 50/50 mix. Bayern all stood by the front screen with Chelsea all stood behind them on the raised tier. When we scored the place went mental and a few Bayern thought it wise to leave lol. Couldnt think it would go any crazier but when we won on penalties it erupted. Bar staff all disappeared, Chelsea behind the bar etc ,tables, chairs etc. Awesome experience. We all spilled outside and just as we went back in to watch the cup be lifted they turned the tv off. They did turn it on again after words but they wouldnt let some of us back in. had to watch it through the window. Celebrated a few hours in Marianplatz before heading to S-bahn and back to airport. Quite a few Bayern at the S-bahn covered in blood and had their faces smashed in , dunno who they came across.

Have to agree with earlier posters the Bayern fans were generally really polite and no threat. Although where their kids/shirters got the idea to sing in Chelsea faces " Who the f*ck are Chelsea". One bought a beer for me after that. So funny but not advisable lol.

Absolutely knackered and no voice left but what an experience. We are Midlands Chelsea and proud of it. The Northern Chelsea lads from Warrington and Sc**thorpe who spent most of the time with us know who they are. Top lads and thanks for a great time. Lets get on it again next season.

Woke up at 5:30am on saturday morning, relatively late compared to you lot! Hopped on the Jubilee line towards Canning Town then DLR to London City with my dad and some mates. We left London at 7:30 and arrived in Zurich at around 9:30am. I had the found a pretty cheap route which involved us taking the train from Zurich. We had a two hour layover in Zurich airport, which was pretty sw**ky. We tried to get an earlier train but the only train leaving earlier arrived in Munich at the same time as us. There were about 40 CFC on the train but we were at the back with some bayern fans who were pretty tame. Started drinking at around 11am, nothing too much though! Waiting for Germany. The windows on the trains were massive and we went through the mountains which was pretty cool.

We arrived at 5:30p.m. in Munich. There were thousands of Bayern fans walking round with crates and packs of beer. Found it hilarious! The ticket system for the trains were impossible. Even in English we couldn't work it out. We tried to take a taxi but there weren't any outside the Munchen Hauptbanhnof so we went back in and got on the train for Felkirchen without paying. We got to Felkirchen around 7:00pm. The Hotel had told us that we could take a taxi to the station. We couldn't find one so went to a random pub where about 8 bayern fans were. There was a bit of argy bargy but we eventually sat down for a beer and called a taxi. Once we arrived at our hotel, they told us that they were sending us to their central hotel so we had to take another taxi to their Central hotel which took 20 mins. By this time we weren't worried about getting a couple drinks in before, we were actually worried about missing the match. We left immediately from the hotel after dropping off bags and arrived at the Allianz at 8:00p.m. It is an absolutely amazing stadium. Surprised about the security though. Barely any OB and the security to get in was minimal. I could have barged through. We got a bratwurst hot dog and a beer and sat down at around 8:15. Atmosphere was class from chelsea fans. We were completely outnumbered but we got the whole upper and lower tier pretty much coin carefree, super chels etc. We were about 8 rows from the Bayern fans which was pretty annoying. They just sat there and clapped along to their lots songs in the north stand. Some CFC were escorted out by the german OB. We chucked a giant pretzel at there fans and that was about it. When drogba scored everyone went mental. I haven't seen anything like it for years. We stayed for about 40 mins after the end of the match and then left. We got back to the hotel at 2:30am with a couple of CFC lads. We just sat and had a drink at the bar as we were exhausted. We took the same route back home and got back at 8:00pm sunday. Shame that we missed the parade but had the best time of my life! As others has said, Munich is a great city and the people were really friendly. We were getting congratulated and everything on sunday morning when walking around the Marienplatz. Also got interviewed by Sky Sports radio!!

Friday 3.30am - mini-bus I have arranged collects me first then we go round and pick up the others in our group.

Friday 6.00am - Stansted airport - Check in. I have 3 pairs pants, 2 tee-shirts, 1 pair jeans, spare pair of loafers, toothbrush, toothpaste and pack of playing cards. Man with a rubber glove on takes my toothpaste off me at the x-ray machine. He says it is a liquid. I say it isn't but if he wants it that much he can f**king keep it. I make him give me my pants back though.

Friday 9.30am (german time) - Weeze airport. Overcast but warmer than England. You can immediately tell we are not in England the second we leave the plane as it's not fricking raining. Catch bus then train to Dussledorf. Piece of piss.

Friday 11.22am - Ten of us check-in at Ibis central Dussledorf. We go to the bar for our first german pilsner. A large squad of teenage female handball players arrive at the check-in desk they are here for a tournament. We have another pilsner and stare at them. I have feeling this may be a great weekend.

Friday 1.00pm - Dussledorf Old Town - a convivial Irish bar we occupy a table on the street. I have a Guinness .

Friday 4.00pm - Still in the Irish Bar.

Friday 5.00pm - Still in the Irish Bar.

Friday 6.00pm - Adjourn to a nearby street side restaurant. Two of us have a Valencian Paella and a bottle of Sauvy Blanc to go with it. Life is good.

Friday 10.00pm - Dussledorf Old Quarter is packed. An anonymous bar I am struggling with the pace. My mate has been talking to some dutch girls on a hen do. I am not interesed, he says I am a poof and gets me a Strawberry Daiquiri. I drink it. I like it. I fall asleep for a bit.

Friday 12.00pm - A switch to Vodka & Red Bulls has seen me get a second wind. We go to a disco-bar. We persuade Herr DJ to play Madness One Step Beyond. The Germans love it. Mullets bouncing up and down everywhere. I wistfully recall the days when I could grow a mullet and join the dancing hoardes.

Friday 2.00 ish - We return to the hotel. Being seasoned campaigners we all know we shouldn't go too mad the first night. I am glad we were sensible enough not to but, a couple of our group fall over on the way home. I think we may woken some of the handball team and I have to really concentrate to press the right button in the lift and then, once in the room, find I can't get in the bed as the duvet is tucked in that f**king tightly. I wrestle it for all of 30 seconds. f**k it, the duvet wins the fight and I fall asleep on top.

I will continue with day two tomorrow.

My trip started at 10am with a 2 and half hour train journey into London. A few beers in the pub and it was time to get going. I was travelling with coach innovations and we started out later than originally planned. Only half an hour later but it led to us hitting traffic and missing our designated coach. The no booze rule lasted about 2 minutes into the journey as one of our drivers decided to announce that officially we shouldn't drink, however he was unable to police it entirely (nudge nudge, wink wink). This was followed by the sound of several cans and bottles being opened. By Dover somebody had been sick and most of the passengers were crowding up at the back for a crafty fag.

After a bit of wait it was onto the ferry where everybody headed to the duty free to top up on booze for the rest of the journey. After a good sing song we were back on the coach and the party continued with most people grabbing an hours sleep here and there.

We finally arrived in Munich 3 hours later than planned. After a good look around and a bit of quiet time and some food in a cafe it was time to get the beers flowing again. Carshalton Blue - I think I was in the same place as you for the game. I too had had a good look around but everywhere was packed. I queued for 45 minutes for a beer and then they ran out mid afternoon and the police soon arrived. We were some of many that went to get a crate or 3. We walked for 15-20 minute to a supermarket, however I later found out that a Chinese cafe 2 minutes away were selling cans and bottles.

The atmosphere in the beer garden was great during the game, but the lack of and size of the screens was embarrassing for a place so big. The chaos that ensued Drogba's goal was unbelievable. I was one of the last ones out of there as you couldn't move for upturned chairs and smashed tables. I watched through a window at a bar up the street before the guy on the door let us in. I'd heard the roar from the penalty being given whilst running up to the window.

It all become a bit blurry from then on because the next thing I can really remember was that we'd gone and done it! Out in the street there were loads of us jumping up and down swinging our shirts around our heads before we made our way down to the main square in Odeonplatz. More and more Chelsea fans were arriving and the party was just getting going. I must have hugged or been hugged by a thousand people as we decided to look for a bar that would serve us. Unfortunately that was proving difficult. We did finally find a hatch of sorts that was serving beer and hotdogs. It didn't take long to get served and were soon dancing in the street again. The Bayern fans that were about were generally nice natured and I shook hands with many. Finally we made our back to coach in Marienplatz and got away shortly after 2am. Obviously the mood was one of celebration, but after an hour or 2 most people were asleep. The journey back was a lot more straight forward and my lasting memory was doing the bouncy in a service station in Luxembourg at God knows what time.

After continuing to drink on the ferry we were back in London for 6,30pm. It was a little disappointing to miss the parade but my I was quite happy to stuff my face in Burger King and enjoy a couple of vodka and cokes on the train home. I finally got into bed at about midnight. Could I sleep? No chance. My head was spinning and I was soon trawling through youtube before I finally passed out at about 2am.

Still buzzing now despite a very tiring day at work!

CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!

Sounds great doesn't it

Trip started with a 10:45 flight out from Gatwick to Munich whilst having a few beers and fry up in Weatherspoons before hand. Flight was like a floating pub with the cabin crew just carrying around crates of beer instead of the trolleys they have. Arrived at hotel in Ismaning 15:00 German time and drop bag then head straight out to the city (Marienplatz). Stop at various bars for drinks and food etc and got some good photos of us lot mixing in with the Bayern fans with our large Chelsea flag on show. Head down to the Kilians Irish bar in the evening where all the Chelsea boys were. Cracking atmosphere it was, sing songs outside the bar and inside it everyone dancing around to the music. Decide to head back to hotel at a reasonable time as we planned to go back into the city early doors the following day.

Bit of breakfast, then head back to Marienplatz for 10:00 thinking we could fine a table outside a bar in the sun. We was wrong. The place was absolutely heaving already with Bayern Munich fans but all very welcoming and a positive atmosphere. Already hearing stories that the German police have closed some Chelsea bars down. Got in touch with other mates who said where all the chelsea were gathering just round the corner from Killians and found a shop that was selling tinnies so we got plenty of them to save queuing in the bar. Great atmosphere with Chelsea songs echoing around the place. Apart from one German f**ker who decided to cut down our flag we had up. Come 16:00 decide to head off to another bar but got lost and ended up finding a table outside a bar with plenty of other Chelsea fans but the service provided was very slow. Was fortunate enough to have a ticket for the game so headed off at around 18:00. Thought the London underground was crowding at times on matchdays but the train we got on took this to another level. Could barely move a muscle. Arrived at the ground in good timing to soak up the atmosphere. From 21:00 - 00:00 it speaks for itself. Mix of anxiety, ecstasy, jubilation, tension and euphoria followed. So many emotions running through the body when Drogba stepped up for the all important penalty.

Got back to hotel at around 05:00 as we were exhausted from a very long and tiring day but one i'll never forget and cherish for the rest of my life. Flight home on Sunday at 13:45 with a large German beer at the airport before departure. The best weekend of my life, truly amazing.

It was fantastic. Nice early flight direct to Munich from Heathrow (took a chance and booked before the Barca second leg), got in to Marianplatz about 1pm, went to the Spatenhaus restaurant nearby, which we had booked for a group of 6. Had some German food and beer and were joined by various other friends so had about dozen guys crammed around the table.

Early evening checked in/dropped rucksack off at hotel nearby and headed for the Allianz arena. It was a right pain getting on to the train and very slow along the way but made it with a few minutes to spare before kick-off.

After the game/celebrations at the ground we headed back into town, found a pub on Schillerstrasse and had a couple. Went back to my hotel at 3am but couldn't remember my room number and they couldn't find my check-in. Finally found it - I had clearly been quite drunk when I filled in the check-in card - it was unreadable.

Got to bed at 3:20 or so but couldn't get any sleep as there were 50 or so Chelsea fans singing outside, just below my hotel room window. Went down and joined them for half an hour. Went back to bed for 2 hours and then got up and headed for the airport.

Tried to watch the victory parade on TV but kept falling asleep and finally crashed in bed at 7pm on Sunday evening. Happy days.

I could moan about the coach being late (coach innovation 11) about the poor drivers not telling us anything, about missing the first ferry, about it not being an executive coach, about it getting us to Munich later than planned and about it dropping us off no where near the Chelsea areas and in the middle of thousands of Munich fans.

But I had the most amazing experience of my life so far, and would not change anything. The ferry crossing was amazing, out the back for the whole journey singing. Walking round Munich in the sun with beers and having some banter with the incredible Munich fans. Meeting some friends out there and having vodka shots in a little bar to get some energy back. Set off walking to the ground, eventually got a taxi to the ground. Our second row seats turned out to be the front row.

Got back to the coach after the game and they had killed the battery, so left late again, got us back after the parade.

And still, I can not stop smiling.

Incredible.

I hate needles, serious phobia. But My love for Chelsea is more, and I am getting - One Life. One Club. One Love. Carefree since nineteen eighty eight. on me somewhere.

I love this club.

Loving the stories all ! thought I would write my own

Some of you might of heard my personal ticket fiasco… and in fact I ended up with the wrong ticket in the end, but that means nothing to me now and I feel honored and privileged to have had one at all. I know I am a lucky man

I was on the Thomas Cook trip in and out of Munich for the day, I did the same for Moscow and despite the problems out there (and the result) actually enjoyed my trip very much. So did the same again and would do the same again…yes a bit pricey but you are looked after and you know where you are at all times and you got a seat home. For me helps me relax enjoy a few drinks and enjoy the football.

I was on the 10.10 out of Gatwick, didn’t sleep a wink the night before and was actually in Gatwick around 7 ish I suppose… First dilemma, pint or coffee and something to eat. I went for the later thinking about the sensible advice on this site to pace myself. Anyway one Coffee and a Bacon butty later I was on the sauce at about 7.30 in the morning. Then my claim to fame for the day, bumped into Alex Stewart, said hello, score prediction (he wasn’t too confident, but who was at that stage!) went our separate ways. Mine back to the bar. Flight called for 10.00 and got safely on board. Got bumped from my seat by some tarts who wanted to “sit togetherâ€â€¦ found a spare, sat down and woke up in Munich or Munchen as it apparently now called. What do those Germans know about it anyway!

Uneventful coach journey to the Allianz arena other than someone discussion about what the German is for Celery. We settled on ein ticklebum which later got me in trouble in the Greengrocers (Obst-und Gemüsehändler) accordning to google translate, no I couldn’t pronounce it on the day either.

Anyway dropped off given directions to the tube station and off into the centre of Munchen, en-route informed by the packed Chelsea train that there was quite a gathering in Odeansplatz so stopped there, as only about 5 or 6 stops to get back to the Allianz arena

Now Odeansplatz has a beer garden yes, very nice one, and it was full of Chelsea and I had a great time, but one thing that I can’t get my head round is the German owners really did miss a trick with English football supporters. The Beer was excellent when I finally got one, and then it run out, yes it run out of beer !.. Really! we are English, it is all about quantity not quality, they could have got trays and trays of cans in we would have bought them still. Fools!

Anyway onto the next drink establishment out of beer again, back to Odeansplatz for some more Tom foolery. At this point it had spilled out into the main square and the Chelsea fans were giving it some on the big monument and a hand full of Munchen fans were giving it back, a few bottles thrown so thought you know what, I am not surprised after endless chants for 5 German bombers in the air and the poetic response from the Germans of Heil Hitler.. touch of class form both sides.

Now onto the nightmare tube, it was great getting into the city getting to the stadium it was packed.. and all exclusively red shirts. After three trains came and went without a chance of getting on them, the now clever German tube drivers sent in an empty train for us Chelsea and that was it I was at the ground two hours early.

One thing I was impressed is the ground is in the middle of nowhere, and as it was a nice day there was plenty of places to sit on the grass, have a beer and something to eat.. exactly what I did, and only woken by some Chelsea fan starting on three Munchen fans who had decided to have a p*ss right in front of his wife, pleasantry’s were exchanged and let’s just say they won’t be attending the Chelsea twinned with Munchen annual BBQ.

The stadium, in one word… F*cking impressive !! and clean, blimey you could eat your dinner off the floor. It is better than Wembley by miles for me. Whoever works on an eventual new one for us could do a lot worse than going to have a good look.

Won’t go on about the match still not watched it back, still not sunk in, I didn’t cry, I did yesterday when listened back to some of the Radio commentary. I still have the pleasure of watching it all again at some point this week.

Just to say, that was Bayern-Fest, to put it bluntly they were celebrating their victory before it kicked off. They were that sure…. In fact if we hadn’t won I think there would have been a lot complaining, I reckon the stadium was ¾ Munchen easy

Anyway after what happned, jumping a rounf like a loon.. kissing all hugging all and sundry, deciding the nice bloke next to me was my new best mate ever…back to the coach, really uneventful… everyone was emotionally and physically exhausted, someone said, “Kings of Europe, would you mind looking the other way so I can have a quick W*nk†It hadn’t sunk in at that point or I might have joined him !

I am not sure what happened for the next few hours, in a daze of booze and exhaustion. Landed in Gatwick about 4.30 in the morning, stayed at the Travel lodge thingy ! never again! .. then off to the parade. Got to Parsons Green about 2.00ish I think, had another pint, watched the lads come past, still hadn’t really sunk in… got back to Bristol… pfffff I am not sure when, sometime early evening.

I mad 48 hours all in all, one of the best of my life. Would do it all again.

It still hasn’t sunk in

Me too tbh.

Was checking this thread all day long for his part 2. I like the stories on here. Keep 'em coming guys. Oh, and of course congratulations for the win, deservedly so. Bayern were just too stupid to go all the way and Chelsea played smarter, not better but smarter. And at the end it doesn't matter how you win it.

I'm not surprised that most of you guys had a really good time in Munich and not just because of the win. Bayern fans and German fans in general are very friendly to English football supporters. I remember when Arsenal played Dortmund in the CL this/last season the Dortmund fans even created a welcoming youtube video to the gunners. I found that classy. When Man Utd. played against my club, Schalke 04, in Gelsenkirchen (semi final CL) and they completely trashed us, we still celebrated after the game with Utd. supporters and just enjoyed the getting together.

My English friends and I discussed that a lot lately and they think German football fans wouldn't get such a warm welcome in England. I don't know about that but I just know that Germans are very anglophil. I think we do admire the English/british culture a lot. Especially your attitude of not giving a damn about what others might think of you. I like that since Germans come with a minor inferiority complex (you know why) and we're still looking for getting recognised.

Hope that was not too much off topic.
