Posted May 4, 201312 yr After last year in Munich which was awesome, just cant stay away even if we dont get tickets. I work in the travel industry and hopefully some of the below will be of use to some of the guys who havent booked yet. Booked my flights from Stanstead to Dusseldorf Weeze which is just over the border from Holland. Tues 14th return Thurs 16th. Ryanair under £100 for two pers. Getting shuttle to Njimegen in Holland 19 euros then there are loads of trains straight to Amsterdam for approx 17 euros each way.Or shuttle to Duisberg or Dusseldorf and get the Ice train straight to Amsterdam approx 38 euros for 2 x pers. Booked a boat hotel right in centre, twin room 46 euros night. Go onto Trivago loads of cheap places still if you just want to get your head down. Other cheap options still up flight wise, Ryanair from Manchester to Brussels Charleloi, Stanstead to Maastricht or Eindhoven. All have bus or decent train connections. Dusseldorf Weeze works out the best value, fly twice a day and most convienient for trains etc. You can even catch the Megabus from Brussels to Amsterdam for not much cash. You can also fly into Cologne or Dusseldorf with Easyjet from Gatwick for under £100 each and catch Ice train straight to Amsterdam non stop in 2 hours or so. All so much cheaper than trying to fly direct into Amsterdam. Hope some of the above helps anyone who was thinking of going. Roll on the 15th gunna be ace.
May 4, 201312 yr Given that my new employers conduct random drug tests I think It's best I stay at home and watch it on the box.
May 4, 201312 yr i booked london to amsterdam flights 7 weeks ago and got 100 return I'm just glad we've qualified
May 5, 201312 yr Flying Direct from Belfast to Amsterdam on the Tuesday and back on the Thursday, cost £ 193. I looked at the cheaper options like flying out of Dublin and travelling via Eindhoven and Maastricht but factoring in cost of coach to Dublin then coach/railfares and booze whilst travelling to and from over there I think I'm just as better off paying the extra cost for direct flight. May 6, 201312 yr Ferry from Harwich (as I live in Essex now) and got a hotel near central station. About £140 notes so far still got to pay for train from the hook to Amsterdam, been told its about £30, will buy that on the ferry. No ticket at the mo just hoping the dam will cater for the ticketless fans and we all manage to meet up. Safe journey everyone, see you in the dam, carefree!
