Normally I would agree. But he was probably our most influential player last season. Having him fit and wanting to play significantly improves our squad AND starting 11. Think we'd compete in all competitions having him too

Without Robin van Persie's goals Man United would be 15th. Without Fernando Torres' goals Chelsea would be exactly where they are now.

He's not. Because he's lost it. If you read my posts you can quite clearly see I agree with what people say about him. He isn't the same player he used to be, he doesn't possess that pace to run around defenders anymore. And he defiantly isn't a type of player like Drogba. Their's very few players in the world that possesses the same physical strength, power and skill that Drogba did. So theirs no chance he'll do that.
I'm not saying he'll return to his best. He won't. It irritates me when everyone slags him off after every performance. I admit, most performances are awful and he deserves all the criticism that comes his way. But today I didn't think he played badly at all. But I guess because he's been so poor recently its all his fault. Heck, it was probably his fault we drew 0-0 today. Yeah it was.

Spot on. I think RVP actually misses a lot of chances, yes he scores a lot but compared to the amount of chances he gets not that much. We seem to score with very few attempts, especially Torres, he very rarely gets more than a few decent chances a game.

Wow it couldn't of went in the other Torres thread? I'm tired of the amount of stick he gets on here. Some people on this forum would love nothing more than to watch Torres fail.

There will be plenty selling tickets but the demand is so big (much bigger than last year according to uefa) that black market prices will be mind boggling.
