Hello pal I was going to go by coach but all the coaches leave at 12midday and I cant leave till at least 4pm so Im stuck and I dont want to catch plane because it way to expensive. I might catch the megabus to Brussels then catch a train from there to Cologne then a train down to Munich

watch this space plans in motion for the Tea Bar Express to Munich . Looking to get 2 London Buses to lead a convoy of Black Cabs , Union Jack mini's and all other modes of transport welcome to join the trip . Leaving the Bridge Friday morning , overnight in Holland then onto Munich for arrival about 2pm Saturday.

Once I get the confirmation on cost and route confirmed will post more details .

David, I have watched Chelsea in Munich before. We flew Ryanair into Weeze and travelled onto Munich via train. It was a doddle and much cheaper than flying directly to Munich.

4 twin hotel rooms for Saturday 19.5.12. booked on Monday evening for 180 Euro's per room. But, with free cancellation available up to 18th May via "booking.com".

Return flights booked seconds after Torres rolled his goal in for £264 with Lufthansa leaving Saturday 19th 07-15 a.m. arriving back Sunday 20th 22.15 p.m. Looks like two long but hopefully happy days!!

All we have to do now is get hold of some tickets!!!

Looks like there may only be four of us so if anyone is stuck for a room or two on the night of the game please contact me. Although, as stated above, these can be cancelled for free up to 18.5.12. :825:

Thank you mate, I've just looked at the flights and its much cheap only 35 to get to Weeze :)

I have a concert in London on 18th... Staying there overnight, really thinking of flying over the next day.. No idea how I will get a ticket.

I love the name Tea Bar Express! :good2:

I have 70odd points, but i have a feeling last time you needed like 96 for the first cut off then 82. Dont even know when tickets go on sale! I was on the lfight that got cancelled to Moscow, so i am going this year!

Just booked my flights ! £197 return with Lufthansa. Manchester to Munich return , flying out Sat morning and returning Sun pm. Perfect.

Just need a ticket now.....

How close to the ground did you get? All the hotels i've found so far are a few miles away from Munich itself.

All booked for seven people with others making their own bookings tonight.

Our journey:

1. Flight into Weeze Germany from London Stanstead on Friday morning cost £35.98 return inc all their usual taxes and add-on charges.

2. 15 euros for the train from Weeze airport down to Dussledorf with overnight stay in hotel in the city centre, (cost for hotel to TBC).

3. Train from Dussledorf direct to Munich on the Saturday morning (4 hrs 56 minutes), cost 79 euros on a saver fare. Not got any accommodation booked in Munich at the moment but may not bother as we shall be out on the lash all night win or lose.

4. Train from Munich back to Weeze airport early on the Sunday morning, (long train ride this one, 6 hrs 40 minutes with change at Dussledorf), cost 99 euros on saver fare.

5. Fly back from Weeze Sunday night at 21:05

German beer, frauliens and the CL trophy......................... happy days.

Just, we should hook up for a beer when we are there. Im sure there will be plenty of Chelsea meeting pubs. I was in Munich for our game in 2005 and it was a great visit. German away trips are definitley the best.

Quick bit of advice for people looking at flights - try flying into Salzburg, quite often a common destination for cheapo airlines. Not far from Munich at all, sure its a very quick train journey.

Looked into Salzburg BJD, again, a route we have taken before into Germany and probably our preferred cheapo option, but there were no flights back on the Sunday. Monday was the earliest.

Would love to meet up for a beer on the day, we are due to get into Munich station at 14:09. I don't mind the train journeys in Germany at all. It has always been a pleasure to travel on German and Austrian trains.

I really do hope Bayern don't make it through tonight. It will give all those Chelsea fans travelling without tickets more chance of getting them locally.

Thats so key. Ive been working on all my contacts in the ticketing industry today (my industry) and all are saying the same thing - we will better placed to know the ticketing situation this time tommorow.

I want Real in the final for a variety of reasons but now most of all because it means i will get a much better chance of getting a ticket.

Any idea where in Holland?

Now might be driving with two friends, so would potentially have a seat, however once its all sorted I will make a thread!

For those people not travelling, what Chelsea pubs/bars would you suggest ? Will there be anything going on at SB or in and around it?
