Instead of bringing on an actual footballer for Morata, we brought Willian on.

Need to make a change NOW. There's no need to wait any further. This obviously isn't working.

Willian is embarrassing.

Same thing happened last season when we beat them twice so I'm not sure what you're worried about. It's only a problem if we lose or draw.

It certainly doesn't help that once we regain possession, we give it up almost immediately and without much pressure.

Morata had to come off. What Conte should have done, which I thought was obvious was Pedro on for Morata if he wasn't going to bring Batshuayi on. Willian is by far our worst player right now.

Willian has come on and in 10 mins been by far our worst player the entire half. How does he do it?

Zouma - If Kurt's Happy, I'm Happy!
That's insane considering we signed Kurt for £12m. This is where Marina actually truly excels. Player sales/loans.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Eden needs to come out wanting to murder everyone on the pitch the way he did against Atletico right from the first minute. I can feel it. He's going to step into the next level this season.

We officially have an incompetent board
My problem with you and everyone who has brought this thread back up is....when the board gets glowing reviews from fans for the good things they've done and good signings made (Hazard, Azpi, Courtois, Ivanovic, etc...steals that proved to be absolute monumental players for us, plus timely decisions like hiring/firing Rafa, Jose, etc even though they may have been controversial at the time) with this same "wave of keyboard" there's not a single peep from you lot. As soon as any criticism is detected, there's an uproar. Are we living in North Korea? Is it wrong to criticise the board? If I had to bet, you're probably one of those who moan every time fans criticise Cahill's performances (had a great game against Atletico btw, refreshing to see for once). Not even Terry had that level of invincibility. When Terry put in lackluster performances towards the end of his time here, we pointed it out. Somehow Cahill has this shield not even Terry, Lampard, Cole or Drogba had towards the end of their careers here despite all they won for us. It's sickening. Tell me, what time exactly is the right time to criticise anything Chelsea related if at all you think criticism is a thing that should exist within the fanbase. And I'm throwing this question to @coco, @yorkleyblue and anyone else in here who has a different opinion. I'm genuinely curious.

We officially have an incompetent board
I live in a universe where people who can't take criticism tend to not be able to make themselves better and improve on their weaknesses. Maybe you're in another universe, I don't know.

They've given up several dangerous chances to pretty much all the teams they've played so far, those teams have just been too sh*t to take advantage. If those chances fall to us, there's no chance we don't punish them for it. City aren't as invincible as they've been made out to be. Even Liverpool had them on the ropes before they got a red card.

That was down to Conte's lineup. We could and should have battered those c**ts. I'm actually quite confident we'll beat City tbh.

We officially have an incompetent board
If we'd had Conte in 15/16 and he came into the season with the likes of Djilobodji and still finished in the top 4 rather than 10th, I'm sure a lot of you in here would say we'd had a successful summer.

Not one rebuttal to anything I said in reply to you but I'm supposedly wrong. Ah well, let's all just enjoy the season.

We officially have an incompetent board
I do wonder how some of you actually get on in your everyday lives. Do you go on living your lives being hyper sensitive to criticism everyday? Christ, with this mentality there's absolutely no chance you'd be able to run a successful business, for one. I'm sorry that my love for Chelsea doesn't mean I can't criticise how it's being run. There's no club in the world where the fanbase doesn't hold their feet to the fire. Barca, Real. Bayern, Juve, you name it. If it wasn't for the heat Barca got over the summer their board may not have seen the need to go out and get the likes of Dembele and Semedo after their catastrophic Neymar debacle. Even Real fans despite coming off back to back CL wins have criticised Perez and co for selling Morata. You don't want to know what the mood is like among the Bayern fanbase right now. I can go on and on. These are clubs that have had a lot more success than us both in history and in the past few years yet their fans still hold them accountable. But somehow if I as a Chelsea fan who wants to see this club join (and be a perpetual member of) that elite group of European club criticises the club in any way, shape or form, then it means I just haattteeee the club and everything about it. Trying my best to keep this civil because this was actually quite offensive to me, but with all due respect, you're being absolutely ridiculous here and you need to give your head a wobble.

No, no, Moses is absolutely NOT among the best RWBs in the world. He's a very serviceable RWB. Nothing more. Doesn't offer much going forward but is solid defensively more often than not. I certainly trust him defensively more than I do Alonso. But we were suppposed to UPGRADE in that position and we didn't. Same for LWB. How on earth can you call Mendy overrated? Did you watch him at all last season? I'm guessing you didn't. I do agree for Walker. Nowhere near worth what he was bought for.

We officially have an incompetent board
Let's get something straight. The fact that Conte can work magic with whatever he's got and he puts his head down and gets down to working once the transfer window is closed does not excuse the disorganised work the board did this past summer. Not every manager can turn dust to gold like Conte can. Even the great Jose couldn't make it work and neither could Carlo. Did we get a proper RWB to displace Moses? No. We got another average player who can't seem to bench Moses so far. Yes, he gets competition there but Zappacosta is hardly lighting everything on fire so far. Did we get the first choice LWB we'd been after for most of the summer? No. Even if not Sandro, there were other options on the market better than Alonso. At the moment, Alonso has zero competition at LWB as far as like for like replacements. It's going to be down to Conte to mix and match with Azpi or maybe Kenedy in desperate times. Hopefully we don't have to see Kenedy on the pitch in the league or CL. Should never have spent the entire summer chasing a target whom we weren't sure we'd get, especially because we'd spent the previous 2 summers doing the same damn thing. They did well with getting Morata and Bakayoko in. Rudiger is looking a fine buy as well. But let's not try to paint over their mistakes and act like it was all perfect. There were A LOT of RWBs we could have gotten this summer, especially young ones with potential to be world class players. Semedo for example. Barca didn't go in for him until late in the summer. We could have gotten him for a reasonable 35m. Instead we faffed about and were barely able to get Zappacosta over the line on deadline day with an extra hour's extension. A club of this statue should never be THAT disorganised, especially when we know the value of having your summer signings have a proper pre-season with the rest of the squad in order to hit the ground running. There's a lot more I could say but in summary, the fact that Conte is so good that he can work magic (like last season) should not excuse our board when the f**k up. You should know better.

I find it confusing that people are so worried about stopping City and suggesting we leave Cesc out of the lineup. They're defense is quite sh*t and you think we shouldn't find every way to exploit it? Pretty sure Kante and Bakayoko can handle Silva and De Bruyne.

First of all....who on earth is Frank??? Secondly, there's absolutely no chance we line up with a 3-4-3. It's almost definitely going to be a 3-5-2/3-5-1-1 the way we set up against Atletico AND against Spurs. We tried that with Arsenal and couldn't even muster up a thing until the second half when Baka came on and we switched to 3-5-2.- Chelsea Vs Man City (PL) Sat 30 Sep 2017 KO 17:30 GMT
Wow. This is shocking. Wish him a speedy recovery. Sounds like it was a life and death situation. That's awful! Edit: Fractured rib too. f**k me.- Chelsea Vs Man City (PL) Sat 30 Sep 2017 KO 17:30 GMT
