Spurs fan on right now thinks their players will stay despite being given average wages compared to other top clubs because "it's a great place to play".

Should have won against Palace in all fairness. Diego lost us that game. He could have had a hat trick without rolling out of bed! All in all, happy with the way things have played out in the end.

We made a meal of the title race. A win against Palace and draw at Old Trafford and we'd have wrapped this up against Everton.

Haven't I been saying West Ham are perennial game raisers when it comes to playing Spurs? And they should have been 1 up if Lanzini wasn't such an idiot (no wonder he's playing for West Ham). Fully expect Pochettino to make some tactical changes that might win Spurs the game though. Hopefully not.

Kyle Walker
Alves has only had a handful of good games this season. Been average for most of the season when he has played. He hasn't been that hard to beat for a starting place. Hardly plays RWB when they play 3 at the back (unless occasionally like against Monaco). Bottom line is that Lichsteiner is too old. I'm sure we can find someone else to do the job.

Virgil Van Dijk
He's decent defensively but constantly needs Cahill behind him to keep him in line as far as positioning goes. He's also a sh*t crosser, especially for someone who's got a cracking free kick. And he can be done for pace by pacy wingers. Something we'll find in the CL. One of the main reasons Conte favors Alonso is his height. At 6'2, he's a great outlet for Courtois to lump the ball up to from the back when we're being pressed high and unlike Moses, he's taller than most opposing full backs/wingers so he'll win the header and we'll retain possession. Seen this played out many times this season. Also good for defending set pieces too unlike Moses. But Ghoulam and Mendy have such height too and are better in other areas. Especially Mendy. Though I doubt Monaco would want to sell us TWO players. Regardless, we need a better LWB for the CL.
