Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
- Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Definitely won't be this summer but it's possible next summer. Hopefully he leads us to a CL title before he leaves.- Chelsea Vs Southampton (PL) Tue 25/04 2017 KO 19:45 GMT
Would love a win and a clean sheet here. 3-0 Chelsea, hopefully. I want to see Ake, Willian and Cesc in the team. I assume Diego and Hazard are definitely starting. Hopefully Diego can be up for it for these last 6 games.- Franck Kessié
Nope. Next.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017
Congratulations to Newcastle! They're a great club and have always deserved to be in the Premier League. Clubs who haven't been Premier League material for a long time like Sunderland need to f**k off. Some of the most dire football in the league over the past 8 years or so. Would be a shame if Hull got the drop though. I hope they stay up. Or if they drop, I hope Marco Silva gets a mid table job. Good young manager.- Cesc Fabregas
Has to start ahead of Matic tomorrow.- Cesc Fabregas
Goes without saying but I'm obviously chuffed to bits at being proven wrong- Cesc Fabregas
Hindsight is 20/20 ehy?- The Nathan Ake Thread
I'm not maligning his ability. It's more credit to Christensen. And fair enough, Zouma needs to go out on loan for half a season. He needs game time to at least get back to the level he was before his injury.- The Nathan Ake Thread
1. We're not signing Van Dijk. That is pure media nonsense. If he leaves Southampton, he's likely going to City. 2. Christensen is already almost twice the player Zouma is. A bit disrespectful to him to say he has the "potential to be an improvement" over Zouma. 3. Alonso will never play at LCB. It's a colossally bad idea.- The Nathan Ake Thread
Stop it mate. That Luiz in midfield experiment died a long time ago and rightly so. You're going to destabilize our back line with this idea. Absolutely no reason you take by far our best ball playing CB and put him in midfield.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017
Hazard won it at 23 when he was already established so I'm not sure why you're complaining. All nice and good. I'd love to see them try to play it against us. So far only Spurs have been able to try it against us and give us a proper game. Every other team that has tried it against us has gotten slaughtered.- Alexis Sanchez
It's not up to them. He has 1 year left on his contract. This is why you don't let your star players have just 1 year left. Wherever he wants to go, they'll sell him there or lose him for free in 2018. And Arsenal's owners are not the types to turn their noses up at an easy 40-50m.- Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
Best thread on the forum by a mile. Hopefully we create a similar version in May 2018.- Alexis Sanchez
Hopefully, the beat down we put on Arsenal will be the final nail in the coffin.- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
WILLIAN HATES TOTTENHAM!- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
100% agreed. Incredibly silly to imply they didn't deserve to lose. Well f**k, as we've scored 4 goals, we certainly didn't! NEXT!- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
We didn't have our best 11 either, did we? No Hazard, no Costa, no Cahill. Everyone has to deal with tactics and cope with issues in their teams. Fair play to Spurs. It was a great game - which no one would be able to say if we didn't dish it back to them - and we came out on top in the end. On to the next.- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
Didn't say anything about being offended about being a counter attacking team. My point is, it's pointless to say or imply Spurs were the better team because they had more possession when they hardly created loads of chances. And we've already scored 3 past them in open play over 3 matches, including 1 yesterday and it should have been 2 if Costa didn't find a way to miss a wide open header that was easier to score than miss. They're hardly a tough nut to crack. That's evidenced by us putting 4 past them. It's all about getting the tactics right.- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
^My views exactly. Still buzzing from the win. Didn't get a chance to post on here last night but I've gone through the thread. What a win!- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
Complete load of nonsense. It's foolish to try to press Spurs for 90 mins the way we did in the first 15 mins. We'd be spent by the 65 min mark and they'd pick us off. We HAD to counter. Besides, for all the supposed "more offensive" measures they took, how many chances did they create? Apart from the Alli goal, they really didn't create more than us and if they did, maybe by a whisker. Courtois was hardly bothered for much of that spell. Kane's goal was also from a corner. Willian's free kick was from Alderweild taking out Pedro who would have been one on one with Lloris. That isn't a chance to you? Moses would also have either had the opportunity to score or square a pass to Batshuayi if Son didn't bring him down. Stop trying to paint some picture that we virtually parked the bus. Conceding possession does not automatically make the other team "better". Jermaine Jenas is a salty idiot and I'm afraid you've bought his garbage. This was also a cup semi final. Who cares how one team plays? The most important thing is to go through!- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
I felt like that was the obvious choice. Shouldn't get anywhere near Matic. Azpi > Luiz > Cesc when there's no Cahill please.- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
Well we did say Chelsea have become too predictable and wished Conte would do something different. How's that for different?- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
Seems like he wants to park the bus then.- Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017
Both on the bench. Cahill is sick. That I understand. Costa has been sh*t. That I also understand. But HAZARD????? - Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
