  1. You know you're having a really bad one when the baldie moustached striker whacks you with a hat trick
  2. By far the best Argie to play for us. Cracking player.
  3. Naughty, I heard Man United sacked Webb after the Chelsea game...
  4. Good luck, box clever!
  5. Doesn't look like many turned up on the day. Is that all seating in the background?
  6. I was in the Benches - which was just below the stand you were in. We noticed a bit of aggro in the West stand during the game, but word came in that there was a big scrap going on under & behind the stand. When the whistle blew & the boys went onto the pitch, the lads started to pull down the barrier in front of us, but the coppers waded in. The rest is well documented & filmed. A couple of things remain clear in my memory though. Firstly the lighthearted singing of "the boys in blue in division two" & then the atmosphere on the Fulham Broadway. Particularly one spotty kid who got arrested by about 10 brave coppers for inciting riot (don't make me laugh). Got into a spot of bother in Acton that evening when we encountered mouthy QPR fans - silly boys!
  7. E,I,O, - we used to call it the three vowel song, sang it in the Whitewall quite a bit too, during corners if I remember. There was a punching the air dance that went with it too. Not really a taunt, but at one game at Fratton Park in the 80's, there was this Pompey bird with the biggest knockers I've ever seen. They were so big that she had them propped on top of a crowd barrier. Of course the Chelsea boys soon clocked her & started singing "one Tina Small, there's only one Tina Small" which proves just how many of us read the Sunday Sport back then.
  8. Did you ever try Samichlaus from the Swiss brewery Eggenberg? 14% alc vol. In comparison Special Brew is like dishwater!. Anyone remember the old geezer who used to drink "Ginness" (gin & Guinness) at the Rose & Crown? they actually put up a plaque for him when he died. Of course they've turned the place into a poncy wine bar now.
  9. I have to say I've got big reservations about Pep. It would just be too good to be true to imagine that he'd simply reproduce the wonder team of Barça in a completely different league & with a different squad. Having said that, I add my voice (strongly) to the anti Benitez camp. If I still lived in London I would be out on the pavement demonstrating.
  10. Oh I'm sure there will be a song with his name in it. I'm not sure he's going to like it though.
  11. It was on Wednesday (I think) at around midnight. It's one of these Abbey road session shows. I understand that this is totally new stuff recorded for C4 & not the Beeb stuff recycled.
  12. Damn, I missed it. Anybody catch it? Or know if or when it will be shown again?
  13. Saw Marcus Miller a couple of weeks ago. Excellent as ever.
