  1. That's fair but not scoring is a big issue. We haven't felt threatening in terms of goals all tournament.
  2. QF - possibly optimistic?? :-)
  3. We will play any of either Austria, Iceland or Portugal, depending on which of those teams finishes second in their group.
  4. If Roy says, post match "we dominated possession" I will kick the TV. Possession doesn't mean much without chances.
  5. No way will this quality of play take us much further in contest. We are not threatening.
  6. I can't disagree. What a mess.
  7. I must be on drugs: England struggling against Slovakia and Wales kicking the **** out of a (poor) Russia.
  8. My mistake. Yep - Spain or ze Germans.
  9. If we finish third we may meet France or Germany in next game...
  10. (I hope I explain this well) Roy seems to plan the course of matches - based on his post-match comments - but you can't know how your opponents will play and if he's planned that Slovakia will be helpful to us, and that we'll have too much for them, what's his Plan B?
  11. It's arrogant of us to rest players mid tournament. Slovakia are not a bad team. I hope are not going to regret missed chances.
  12. This is why we will not make good progress - lack of chances and lack of goals. It's weird as we look like an attacking team but we are not making real chances. Could we be more direct?
  13. We have turned into Arsenal. Possession but no goals... The sheer ******* stupidity of resting players in the middle of a bloody tournament.
  14. Yes! :-)To be fair, most Welsh fans are ok about England. The general feeling is that both teams have been lucky so far. Tonight's Welsh performance is not luck however. Fair play to them.
  15. Blimey. Being out-qualified by the Taffia...
  16. It would be great if Wales/Bale get out of their group and Ronaldo and Portugal don't.
  17. In hindsight, he was playing regularly and developing at LFC. He saw the £ sign and went to City where he's been under a different sort of pressure, hasn't played every game, and his development seems stalled. I hope he turns it around but, at the moment, he's going backwards. I wonder whether Pep can help?
  18. Surely Sterling will be out of the starting eleven now? Great result yesterday but Sterling is doing literally nothing.
  19. Thank God!! I have had to celebrate tactfully as I work in Cardiff...
  20. I can't call it but I saw enough in our first game to cause me concern. On paper, England win 9 of 10 games between the sides but there's zero pressure on Wales and I didn't get the sense against the Russians that we would score in open play. C'mon England!
  21. It is brutal. Any England fan who plans to go to Russia, to get pissed and chuck chairs about, is in for a shock. I hope people think carefully before going.
  22. On the radio he emphasised the positives but, on the contest, this is now a results-based thing. If we '...play well apart from 15 minutes...' we'll go out.
  23. I have wondered the same. It's not worth someone dying. Russian football fans think French are soft. This is how the Russian Police react to fan violence. Warning - pretty firmly: https://youtu.be/BKIQjOS_9C4
  24. I heard someone say '...it's almost harder not to get out of the group...'. We'll see. International football is too stressful to enjoy anymore.
