Lets be diverse: perhaps it was a Muslim Irish Republican?- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Unbelievable!! Gutting too. I know we've had a great season overall but this feels a terrible end. I'll focus on the positives!- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Arsenal heading for second place :-(- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
There's a lot of speculation about Rafa to Everton. It'd be interesting if that happened. The red Scousers would be well unhappy.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Martinez and Rodgers (please come back to management Brendan) share a neglectful approach to defence. You must start with a competent defence as goals mean little if you concede more than you score. In fairness to Martinez and other managers, I deplore the modern trend of players sometimes deciding not to bother. We've seen it a lot this season, at all types of clubs, and it stinks. Players take the money and should at least put the effort in.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Poch and Sir Alex seen at lunch together on Tues. Thought provoking.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
I've no idea which of those teams to regard as the underdog...- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Hughes is an interesting idea. I defer to others with more knowledge of his managerial career but he doesn't yet seem to have stepped up to the top level. If new owners are going to invest in Everton, they might want someone with more of a record at the top level. Poch to Utd is worryingly plausible...it makes more sense on paper than Jose tbh.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
I don't always understand betting odds. Who at Everton in their right mind would appoint McLaren after his recent managerial record?- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
That's a good business idea. Sunderland acted sooner than Newcastle to make a change. Had Benitez had more time, perhaps he would have helped keep Newcastle up? Moyes to Everton is an interesting idea. Towards the end of his time at Everton, some fans felt that he lacked ambition but Martinez hasn't improved the team in the medium term. I just wonder whether Everton fans would feel that Moyes was a step backwards?- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Agreed. Newcastle v Burton Albion to look forward to next season... Edit: Mike Ashley was a bit cynical. He didn't properly invest in Newcastle for some seasons and, this season, chucked some money at the team to, as he hoped, secure a PL place and a chunk of the TV money. If Newcastle going down gets Ashley away from the club then it will not all be bad for them as he uses the club and does not appear to have ambition.- Liverpool vs. Chelsea (PL) 11/05/2016 KO 20:00 BST

'Theatre of Dreams' cos the home fans are asleep.- Liverpool vs. Chelsea (PL) 11/05/2016 KO 20:00 BST
Off topic but Sunderland are clobbering Everton (shock) 3-0. Newcastle and Norwich down this evening it seems and Martinez out soon?- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Good point. Stones has gone backwards this season - he needs a manager who can give him a firm sense of direction and a clear idea of when it's appropriate to showboat and when it isn't. It's needed as Stones could be important for England in the future.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Not long. He seems likeable but Everton cannot defend and he hasn't fixed that problem. I wonder who'll replace him?- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
It is hard to wish relegation on any team (well, most). Sunderland seem to have been more practical in (hopefully) avoiding relegation - Newcastle not beating Villa was poor form considering what was at stake. That said, Norwich are 2-1 up!- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Sunderland seem favourites this evening. That says a lot about Everton's recent form. Safety is in Sunderland's grasp and I hope they do it.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
That was brilliant dkw.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Good point. They have a serious issue. Some put it down to the hardness of the surface of their training ground. If Walcott goes to West Ham, we'll see whether he can last a season without major injury. It'll be a useful comparison.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
Cock. Man Utd. West Ham were the better team however. What a let off for City.- Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
