  1. Yep. They've sacrificed points in the premier league for this too.
  2. Ah. Good point :-) Even so, change tactics and take some risks.
  3. I never get this. You lose as much to a goal as you do to two or more. This is a last chance - nowt to lose.
  4. Damn. City will look on this as a missed opportunity. City should take more chances now that time is running out.
  5. I hope City get to the final. Pellegrini seems a decent bloke, shoddily treated by City's owners, and getting to a final his replacement couldn't reach would be a moral statement of a sort. It'd also be great to see an English team progress to the final again.
  6. ^ On the lightsabre point, when did they start to just lightly wound? One hit killed Ben, another took off Luke's hand. Yet Kylo Ren is seemingly just scratched by Rey's sabre despite, in the same fight, it literally felling trees?!
  7. Thinking about it, that seems fair. Hopefully it's some lessons learned for us.
  8. That's well put. It was as if the confidence gained this season was brittle when put to a final test. The media have hyped Spurs for the past month as being cool under pressure but the players felt the pressure and didn't cope. The group of players had to have fight about them but they took unhealthy aggression onto the pitch, particularly after half time. Perhaps, despite what Poch must have said (calm down!) the players felt assertion had worked and produced two goals? You lose a title over a season so last night was only do or die because of our variable performances this year.
  9. Cheers mate. This forum sets high standards so it's no trouble to behave appropriately when things don't go your way. I was properly gutted last evening but, even with the distance provided by just a day, it's clear we lost the plot after half time. Someone needed to say "calm down and defend your lead" to our lads but they were fired up and couldn't be held. It was as bad as Palace v LFC in that sense. The spirit was a refreshing change as we haven't always had it, but it has to be controlled. It leaves a bad taste to think of the melee in the tunnel and Guus being knocked over. No matter what happened, it feels like a slightly shoddy end to a pretty great season. I'm not saying that because I'm posting on a CFC site. Being gutted aside, it was good to see CFC making an impressive fightback and Claudio and LCFC winning the title. It still feels unreal...
  10. Cheers mate. Likewise and it's a pleasure to be here. I'm glad the tension's over and we know where we stand.
  11. Reading those posts from The Fighting Cock, I'm glad to be a member of this forum and not that one Adam. Pretty sh*tty sentiments.
  12. Cheers mate and others for decent posts. I'm gonna bale for the eve now and leave yous lads to the post game celebrations :-)
  13. I tend to agree there. We properly fought so we can't say we didn't try. We'll have some bans coming our way but will have to take that. I'm glad the tension's over in one way!
  14. What a mad, mad, mad season. I'm very happy for Claudio and LCFC have outclassed us all. The Claudio thing is the best thing - he seems a properly nice bloke.
  15. It was a game where'd he'd made his mind up 'no reds'. God knows why refs do that sometimes.
  16. Sorry about the game lads - it was tougher and, frankly, dirtier than I thought. You fought us, maintained 'that' record and derailed our last hopes of halting Leicester. Congrats on a hard fought draw. Congratulations to Leicester City too. A well deserved title.
  17. That's a fair point. After the game, the FA is going to come down hard on us for some incidents.
  18. They've had to go all out tonight and have been assertive/dirty at times. We've fought hard which is something we haven't always done and so much is at stake. LCFC nearly champions...
  19. F*** That's been coming for about 15 minutes however. What a good, hard fought, game. I can't believe there's 22 men out there still...
  20. Damn. Having to win, away, at CFC tomorrow. Nightmare scenario as if there's a team that will give us a battle it's Chelsea. Even if we win tomorrow, there's ZERO chance of Everton getting anything from Leicester.
  21. I agree. There has to be a limit as (the particular issue aside) you could claim to be stressed from seeing something on the news, even if you were not there. I've been shown the footage of the Bradford fire a few times in connection with fire warden training. It's horrific to see but I wasn't there and it would be wrong of me to claim to be affected to the same extent as someone who was there.
  22. I agree. Arsenal could win the title so they should try to and not lower their sights.
  23. (God this is difficult): Come on you Reds!!!
