Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016
It's that time again: the 'surely (insert name of team) can beat Leicester' time. West Ham are having a good season and can play an aggressive, confident style of football. Perhaps they can pull off a win?

I think he has. Utd haven't shown any consistency and some of LVG's decisions about who plays and where have been odd. There was more speculation on 'Football Focus' about whether LVG is keeping the manager's seat warm for Jose. I'll believe that when it happens but if a manager can get Utd turned around in the short term then it's him.

Rub it in...:-)

Yep. That makes sense. Playing CFC away will be tough as you say. You are something of a bogey side for us. If Leicester keep winning, it'll be an academic issue.

Soz Gem. Everyone is being very tolerant and decent considering this is a CFC site. I am still worried that Arsenal may catch us as they have a game in hand. Second place would be great and then face next season which may be as weird as this one.

People in Europe will be checking maps to find the place.

It could happen. I keep thinking that Leicester might falter. I had today's match down as a draw but they keep winning. Second place will be good and I would not begrudge Leicester anything. I hope they hold on.

That is the flaw in my argument. The club will accept 4th but the fans'll be unhappy.

Your technique really works Gem! :-) All I want now is for us to finish in second as Arsenal will be well ****** off.

It doesn't 'feel' as if we're going to score. Chances drifting away.

Great post. Very high wages are the norm in the PL and players can become millionaires by going through the motions.

I think today may be the day where Spurs/ds say 'that's that' - Leicester are grinding out results and we need to keep winning. Ten points at this stage of the season will be a huge gap.

Yep. Arsenal should be buried now but for the disallowed goals. Bloody awful, biased, reffing.

Damn

Deserved after that reffing. Now wait for the ref to send off a West Ham player or award Arsenal a penalty. West Ham currently beating Arsenal AND the ref.

Nail on the head there. Arsenal are very good when nothing is at stake.Edit: touch wood

Carroll!!!!!!!! 'BOOOOM!' as the fat, bald Gooner on Arsenal Fan TV would say. (I've mentally written off first place but second place, above Arsenal, would be great).

Very poor from the ref with that handball. We tend to assume that our refs are honest but you look at games like this and wonder.

Arsenal hitting form at the wrong time. Worryingly, this match is one of the hardest in their run in. Early doors however.

Aston Villa may be relegated today. Theirs has been a pointless (almost literally) season. Fair play to those of their fans who turn up for games. I wonder if Villa will go straight down next season too?

I saw the league table today and, looking at Arsenal's position and their run-in and our run-in, I wonder whether we are catch-able? We face some tough matches where, like Saturday, we could come away with a draw. Does anyone else think that Arsenal can push on to second place, or beyond? (IF Leicester drop the baton).

I think I have to concede that the Foxes are not going to miss a beat. What a remarkable season. I may place a bet on them being relegated next season - nothing would now surprise me :-)

Surely Leicester can't keep winning?

That scenario is nagging away at me. It feels worryingly plausible.

Today's result for Spurs was almost a loss given the context. I had thought the game difficult and there are harder matches ahead. If Leicester slip up and the Gooners push on, it could be a nervous few weeks.
