The Chalkboard; brilliant resource from The Guardian

I've only checked a couple of games, but looks like a fantastic site for seeing what happened with each player in all of the games.

Interestingly, I noticed that during the entire of the Manchester United game, Mikel only made one (failed!!) tackle all game, apparently.

It gets worse if you look at Drogba's shooting that afternoon...

Fantastic resource though!

Good find Blize - thanks

Manu H 6 shots on target 1 goal

Manu A 1 shot on target 0 goal

Liverpool H 2 shots on target 0 goal

Arsenal H 2 shots on target 0 goal (well Arsenal OG)

Let's hope we manage more than 1 or 2 shots this weekend.

Very intresting to look at our passing. A lot of side to side passes.

Funnily enough - thats exactly what you see when you go to the Bridge

Oh well - I did say HOPE.

Let's be honest - anyone who thought we were going to get anything at Anfield after viewing the stats above must have either been happy settling for a 0-0 or hoping for a miracle.

In our past few games 2 out of the 3 goals v Ipswich were from dead balls and the 2 goals against Boro were from corners. In the past month we've managed 1 goal from open play against Ipswich and 2 goals from open play against Stoke. No shots v Manu or Liverpool.

Our build up play is too slow, there are too many sideways passes and not enough quality up front - until this is address we will be fighting Villa and Arsenal out for 4th place, worringly, the 2 sides we have yet to meet away from home.

It so predictable, we've been found out and either Scolari doesn't have the players, or doesn't have the answers.

Play to your strengths, you can't play a system that relys on wingers when the ones we have aren't good enough. Simple as that really.

This has been glaringly obvious to many posters and Lofty has mentioned the shots we create more and more on a game by games basis.

No shots - no goals
