Riccardo Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I was reading this article today about shedding some light on Scolari's downfall and Guus' future with the club. Whether true or not it made for some interesting reading, particularly this paragraph ..... When Chelsea grudgingly allowed Clarke to join Gianfranco Zola at West Ham in September, the team were unbeaten. Scolari, though, did not seem to realise the long-serving Scotsman's importance, compounding that error by taking only a passing interest in his replacement. Instead, chief executive Peter Kenyon drew up a shortlist of former players Ray Wilkins, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Nigel Spackman. Following consultation with Terry, the job went to Wilkins and the losses began to pile up. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/feb/15/guus-hiddink-chelsea-duncan-castles Butch does not seem like an entirely popular choice as assistant. How would you guys feel letting Jimmy back at the club as an assistant?

PloKoon13 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Ruud Gullit with Jimmy Floyd as assistant. We'd be the coolest club around, but we'd be pretty damn sh*t, I'd imagine...
