JEFF'S LEAGUE OF INJUSTICE - THE LEAGUE TABLE

The perception amongst fans and managers is that over the course of a season, refereeing decisions can cost clubs dearly.

I cannot disagree with this entirely because incorrect decisions do have an effect on results. However, so many other things go on during a game of football that also have an effect.

However, it is popular to blame the refs for anything and everything so I will humour you and correct scores and results based on my reading of incidents.

Remember though, this referee's decision is final. But if you want to raise a point, let me know by contacting me.

Articles will appear every Tuesday.

Sorry, I was getting him confused with Henry Winter (until I looked at the link to his hompeage) but the first two replies made me curious. I found this on his wikipedia page, pulled from his biography, regarding the last game he officiated

In the end I played a little bit extra, waiting until play was at the Kop end, before sounding the final shrill blast - a bit like the Last Post. The fans behind the goal burst into spontaneous applause. It was longer and louder than normal, even for a big home win. Did they know it was my final visit? Was the applause for me? They are such knowledgeable football people, that it would not surprise me.
