For me this season has taken more out of me emotionally and even physically than any other season I've experienced with Chelsea (and there's been 43 of those as a supporter). Having started so brightly it fell away spectacularly until the arrival of the Messiah that was Guus Hiddink.

The games with Bolton (4-3), Liverpool (4-4) and Barca took more out of me than any other games I've ever known. Whether it's something to do with age or not I don't know but it seems to take longer and longer to get over gaes like those (except I'll never get over the Barca one).

That we finished with a trophy was magnificent compared to where we were headed in January which was not even into Europe next season the way we were going.

Summer will no doubt bring many an interesting story for us and hopefully that'll keep us interested before we go through it all again.

gezzer couldnt agree more, it is age :) im exhusted,, for me beating the smug gooners in semi, and 1-4 at there place,, oh yesssssss loved it, and beating villa 0-1 at villa park, dont have to tell you our luck at villa park, and of course knocking the ratmunchers out of champs league, tell you what else i thought was great wins 0-3 at hull when they were flying, 0-2 at stoke, think they only lost 3 at home all season, and of course THE F.A. CUP :o

This season I've felt more emotionally attached to the club than ever before, and more determined to see them do well.

I think the highlight has to be playing the Scousers off the park in the CL quarter final first leg though. Everyone kept telling me how we were going to lose, but then we went and did -that-. Brilliant, just brilliant.

start - brilliant, exciting, optimistic.

middle - pessemistic, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t and sh*t

end - guus, brilliant, optimistic, gutted, cheated, pissed right off, brilliant, optimistic, get the f**k in.....

I had noticed that Geezer doesn't have the stamina he used to have..... now I understand why.

The 2008-09 season for me has been a mixture of the good, the bad and the sometimes ugly. The good memories of the season for me are the wins we had against Arsenal away (4-1), Liverpool (3-1), Middlesbrough (5-0) and the FA Cup final win against Everton. The bad has been the two defeats in the league to Liverpool, getting knocked out by then Championship side Burnley, and the way we got knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona in the semis. The ugly moments were the way Scolari got booted out, drawing at home to Hull and Drogba and Ballack's antics against the UEFA officials in the second leg of the semi-final.

What this season has done to me is that it has brought me emotionally closer to the club. I love it so much and am looking forward to it to seeing it go on and achieving many great things next season.

I didn't doubt it for one minute, my love. Get Mrs G to braise you some liver and onions - get some iron in your blood! This helps too, allegedly.
