Owen Hargreaves may be forced to quit top-level football in the next two years

I've never rated him and I don't think he should ever have been near the England squad despite the "plaudits" he received after a series of mediocre performances in a decidedly average England set-up. But I suppose it's sad when a career is cut short which looks like happening here.

I have sympathy for him despite being a player of a title rival. He went to play for England, but he was probably the best talent Canada has produced at football recently (and from my hometown, too)
