Posted June 11, 200915 yr no, not as a player stupid....but as a coach? taken from newsnow so not sure how good a source it is. but still pretty interesting. Reports in Italy suggest Carlo Ancelotti may be in the process of bringing AC Milan legend Paulo Maldini to Chelsea in a coaching capacity. Corriere della Sera suggest the one club legend, who retired at the end of the season after 901 games for the club, is considering his former coach’s offer. The exact role offered to the Italian hero is unknown although reports suggest it would be similar to ‘Team Manager’, a position common in Italian football. The Italian publication suggests the only thing stopping Maldini from taking the role is uprooting his young family and bringing them to London.
